Hi,
I'm using
org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet
and
org.springframework.ws.transport.http.MessageDispatcherServlet
In the same app but each is loading own application contexts, I need to load all beans in a single application context.
The application consists of typical layers webappdao etc
What I have tried is to use one single spring-root-context.xml by setting it in the contextConfigLocation.
But didn't help, this has been an issue for me for a long time an I would appreciate any help with this.
Any online references would be a great help.
Regards
Ramo
I've got an app that I'm trying to get working again after wiping my system and installing Snow Leopard. I installed Ruby 1.9 from Macports (now a later version) and the dev server starts up just fine, but then dies on the first request, only telling me "Illegal instruction". I have no idea what's causing this or even how to go about debugging it. Does anyone have any ideas?
I want to create a background app on a Blackberry that starts when the phone boots and sends gps locations to a webserver periodically. Is this possible without the BES server? I am most likely targeting OS 4.5. Any gotchas I should know about?

I want to write a C# application which can record a video capture of one of its WPF controls.
Is there a solution in .Net to record video from a control, or is there some library I could use?
My goal is to write a SketchCast application. The use case is the following:
launch SketchCast app and press record button,
write ink into a WPF ink area, and talk,
press stop,
recorded voice and ink animation get
saved into a video file in some
encoding.

I've written an app that is very simple in C#. I want this to compile to a stand alone exe file, but I can't seem to find the proper settings to do this. Everything compiles into a publish folder and there is only the setup/install files.
Thanks!
In my Swing app, users can click a button to open a dialog panel and enter some values, then they can click "Ok" on that panel to close it and return to the main program, but how can I pass the values they enter to the main program without saving them to a file first ?
We need a back out plan for a web app whose first maintenance release is going to production soon.
The issue we are facing is even if we back out new EAR and deploy old one , the data which was keyed in using new release would not support old business rules(current), since there is enormous changes in business rules.
Can you suggest how do we tackle this issue?
Hi
Is there a permission to allow one app to read the (private) data/data//files/... files of another application? If not, how do backup programs like MyBackup work?

I'm running on windows XP, and the web app is running under IIS (if that matters).
So far I tried popen but that didn't seem to work.
Hi,
I would like to open a webpage and run a javascript function from within a java app.
For example I would like to open the page www.mytestpage.com and run the following javascript code:document.getElementById("txtEmail").value="[email protected]";submit();void(0);
This works in a browser...how can I do it programatically?
Thanks!
I'm trying to open the Safari browser in my app using http post.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have an app and it stores data to a .plist file in the resources group in Xcode (if that matters). And whenever I run it on the simulator it works perfectly with the file. On the iPhone, however, it doesn't seem to be interacting with the file.
Thanks in advance!
In testing singleton classes we need the single instance to "go away" after each test. Is there a way to configure nunit to recreate the test app domain after each test, or at least after each fixture?
Is it possible to start an AMQP subscriber with my Rails app? Possibly through an initializer or something.
I'd like to have it running at the same time that can also interact with Rails models. Below is a pseudo-code example of what I mean.
queue.subscribe do |msg,body|
Foo.create(....)
end

I need to develop a symbian application in which the app is triggered while taking a photo and upload to a web location with the GPS location of the phone. I would like to know which all devices can support this and is there any API restrictions or licence required to do this.
I have an iPhone app that creates a zip file.
I need to provide an easy way to allow the user to transfer that zip file to their PC (not via any network connectivity, as this file could be rather large).
Any suggestions?
Hey guys,
I have a xml file on my server like the one below :
www.myWebSite.com/myXmlFile.xml

How can I make my app to work anyway ? What kind of PHP server-side code do I need to write ? Is NSURLConnection supporting reirections ?
Thanks for any incomings ;)
Gotye.
So I've noticed Windows 7 has a disturbing tendency to prevent you from dragging the title bar of windows off the top of the screen. If you try - in this case, using an air app with a draggable area at the bottom of the window, allowing you to push the top of the window up past the screen - it just kicks the window back down far enough that the title bar is at the top of what it considers the 'visible area.'
One solution would be to resize the app window as it moves, so that the title bar is always where windows wants it. How would you resize the window while you're dragging it, though? Would you do it like this?
dragHitArea.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, function(e:MouseEvent):void{
stage.nativeWindow.height += 50;
stage.nativeWindow.startMove();
stage.nativeWindow.height -= 50;
});
see what's going on there? When I click, I'm doing startMove(), which is hooking into the OS' function for dragging a window around. I'm also increasing and decreasing the height of the window by 50 pixels - which should give me no net increase, right?
Wrong - the first '.height +=' gets executed, but the '.height -=' after the .startMove() never runs.
Why?
update - If you're curious, I'm programming an air widget with fly-out menus which expand rightwards and upwards - and since those element can only be displayed within the boundaries of the application window itself (even though the window is set to be chromeless and transparent) I have to expand the application's borders to include the area that the menu 'pops up' into. In the extreme case, with the widget positioned bottom left, and the menus expanded completely across to the right side and top edge of the screen, the application area could very well cover the entire desktop. The problem is, when it's expanded like this, if the user drags it up and to the right, it causes the 'title bar' area of the application window to move above the top edge of the desktop area, where it would normally be unreachable; and Windows automatically re-positions the window back below that edge once the .startMove() operation is completed.
So what I want to do is continually resize the height of the application so that the visual effect will be the same for the user, but for the benefit of the operating system the window's title bar will never be above that top boundary of the desktop area.
Here's an example of the type of background image I'm talking about...
Clearly, there's a pattern in it. My question is, if this were an iPad app and the background image was twice the size, would there be any significant benefits to taking advantage of this pattern by tiling the image? Or would it really make no difference in terms of performance and just be easier to load the entire image into a UIImageView?
Thanks in advance for all your wisdom!
