    I have a system that receives files from clients using svn, and we keep track of revision ID in one of our databases. every year we clear the svn repo, and create new repo as it gets very large size. now how can i preserve the revision id when i create new repo. in other words my repo for this year will reach 20000 revisions. how can i start my new repo from revision id 20001. Here the data has been sorted by date, so the 'SomeData' column of the most recent unique value of each user. Top 1 SomeData isn't going to work because it will only return for one user.   • Run a specific Windows application with different regional settings?

    We have an old VB6 application, written in the UK, which we want to run on a client's server in Canada. The application must have some hard-coded date formats in it somewhere, as it's misinterpreting dates, eg, 6th April is getting recorded as 4th June. I know I could change the user's date format, but this would affect all applications. Is it possible, perhaps with some sort of wrapper script, to set specific regional settings for this single application?

Can anybody suggest how can I either see the end of the subject line and sort by these criteria or preferably move the date and time text from the end to the beginning of the subject line so I can sort by it, perhaps using VB?

    Hi all, I'm working on a web application and using the jQuery plug-in Colorbox to pop up a window that presents a form for editing elements of the parent window. I'm using Firebug to debug my Javascript and jQuery, and I noticed that I can't select an element in my Colorbox HTML form using the jQuery console command line. For instance: $date = $("#date"); returns nothing when run from the jQuery console command line, even though I have an input element with id="date" and the Firebug "element inspect" pointer can find the element in the iFrame. Is there a way to get Firebug's console to access the elements in an iFrame? Thanks for your help! Doug

  • SharePoint Discussion Board "Last updated" field is not updated any more.

    On of our SharePoint users informed me today about a strange behavior of a discussion board on one of his sites. Normally the standard "subject" view of an discussion list has a field named "Last updated" showing the date and time of the last post within the corresponding thread. On the discussion board of our user this field is never set to the date/time of the last post but stays on the date/time when the thread was started. The site on which the discussion board is located was created from a custom web site template which includes the empty discussion board. To narrow this problem I created a second discussion board on the same site, with the result that it sets the Last updated field correctly. Any suggestions why the Last updated field doesn't update any more?

    I have the need to display a date in this format: dd/mm/yyyy. This is actually being stored in an ASP.NET textbox and being used as a control parameter for a select on the GridView. When the query is run, though, the date format should change to 'd M y' (for Oracle). It is not working. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?     I have the column DateTimeExpired, and I would like to create another column called "Expired" which will show "Yes" or "No" according to the expiration date - "Yes" if the date has already passed. I wrote this: DataColumn colExpirationDate = new DataColumn("DateTimeExpired", typeof(DateTime)); DataColumn colExpired = new DataColumn("Expired", typeof(string), "IIF(DateDiff(DateTimeExpired, date())>= 0,'No','Yes')"); But I get an exception "The expression contains undefined function call DateDiff()."     What is the best way to do complex reporting on subversion logs like the following for each file? file, directory, last revision date, previous revision date(where revision date is at least 30 older than last), days diff(between revision dates) Since Subversion allows on revision to change multiple files I assume svn log needs to be run against each file individually. Ideas (that don't seem very good): Shell scripting to produce a csv file to be imported to a DB. The following is a start but doesn't show the filename: find . -name "." -print | xargs -l svn log -l 2 Shell scripting to produce XML and then use XSLT to create CSV to import to a DB. It might use a similar command to above but would still have some of the same limitation. Write a program to just parse the log on the whole directory tree, make one insert to DB per revision/file combination, and then query the DB.

//rootElement.XPathSelectElement(xPathQuery) = parentElement; } these 2 functions i have used to update xml and to get data from xml and fill into controls. but for the tags where there are multiple records... i am not able to find any solution /control using which i an do it easily. coz my field's value is in attribute named "Value" when in the examples i saw its between opening and closing tag.. i have 2 methods to do so. 1 . i make one page to edit a single record and pass id of record to that page on editing. open the page in iframe on same page to edit and in page_load get data from database for id passed and fill it in control. 2 . i store xml on server as physical file and use it in page i opened in iframe to edit the record. so i am confused... can anybody please guide me that what shpould i do to let user provide interface to edit this xml data/user profile ?
