  • jquery selector problem with script tags

    I'm attempting to select all <script type="text/html"> tags in a page. I use <script> tags to store HTML templates, similar to how John Resig does it. For some reason, the following jquery selector doesn't seem to be selecting anything: $("script[type*=html]").each(function() { alert("Found script "+this.id); }); This markup is in the BODY of the HTML document: <body> <script id="filter-search" type="text/html"> <dt>Search</dt> <dd><input type="text"/></dd> </script> </body> I've also tried putting it into the HEAD of the HTML document, and it is still not found. No alert is ever shown. Scripts in the actual page are not found.     in symfony 2.0 and django there are bundles that contain everything for a feature (html, css, js, img, php/python). so if you want to delete one feature, you basically just delete that bundle and unregister it from "main". are there java frameworks for this too? or is it different in java cause java is a compiling language. thanks

    Despite sending an async request to the server over AJAX, the server will not respond until the previous unrelated request has finished. The following code is only broken in this way on Nginx, but runs perfectly on Apache.     So I know that I can communicate between those two using JSON, but I also know that I would have to manually recreate all Django objects in JS. Do you know of any tool or library that could help me do that? Or maybe even a better way of achieving the same goal?   • How can I duplicate the UI functionality of Google Fastflip?

    Trying to get the same functionality as Google FastFlip. Not just with the thumbnails, but even for the larger images too. Notice how when you click on a story, you see the main story front and center, and you see smaller half-screens of previous and next stories. How can I get that functionality? Is there a plugin for one of the JS frameworks that does this already? I also love the speed and feel of flipping through the images.

    Hi, i have a problem only with IE: if i try to invoke a JS function from Flash using ExternalInterface i cannot get result if Flash is embedded inside a JQuery dialog; when i make the same thing from a normal html page it runs. The problem is that since it takes time for the AJAX request to complete, code that is executed afterward which needs variables which are in the script loaded in via AJAX.     I'm currently working on an android app that interfaces with a Ruby on Rails app through XML and JSON. I can currently pull all my posts from my website through XML but I can't seem to post via JSON. A route or controller that isn't right? I'd be really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction, because I don't know where to go from here.

    Hi I have an ASP.NET MVC Page with a button called "Start Live Meeting". When the User clicks on this button, it calls a controller method called "StartLiveMeeting" that returns a string. If the controller returns empty string, then i want the Timer to call the Controller method until it returns the string. I am using jquery.timer.js plugin ( http://plugins.jquery.com/files/jquery.timers-1.2.js.txt ) On the button click, the controller method is being called. But Timer is not initiating. I have specified 5sec to call the controller method. I appreciate your responses.   • Why won't jqGrid won't populate initially in Chrome

    Hi, I've got a web page with a jqGrid that uses am xmlreader to populate itself with data that is spat out by a RoR service. The page loads fine in firefox and safari. In Chrome however I get a blank grid.   • How can i trace changes made to the DOM by JavaScript?

    I have a large website in development with a large amount of JS in different files. I have come across an issue where something is removing a class from the DOM. I can see it when I view source but not in Firebug. Normally I would place some alerts/console.log calls with the hasClass value but because I have no idea where to start I wanted to know if I can trace the change back when it occurs somehow? Denis

  • Json Convert To and From Query String with jquery?

    I have a string like a=6&id=99 (i might store it in html as 'a=6&id=99' however thats not what js will see). I would like to convert that string into an object so i can do func(o.a); or o.id=44; How do i do that? Part 2: How do i convert that object back to a query string? it would probably be trivial code that i can write.

  • bing maps in jquery dialog context menu

    I have a main form, which has button. By clicking on this button JQuery Dialog will shown. And contains of this dialog is a javascript bing map (using VEMAP object). So there are different js documents. How can I create a context menu for bing map, opening in jquery dialog? Thanks!
