    I have a website that is being hosted and supported by a company that is going out of business. We are looking for a company to do maintenance on the code/content side, and will likely move the hosting to Rackspace.com (or another SAS70 certified provider). We are bringing the CMS with us, which I know is unusual, but we like it and would like to keep it. What companies should I look at for just CODE and CONTENT maintenance? It's a PHP/MySQL website.

    Hello, CentOS 5.3 After booting up. I am wondering what is the name of the log file that contains if all services where successfully loaded or not? For example when computer boots you get a list of start services and they can be OK or FAILED. Is there a log file where this information is kept? I had a look in the following directory /var/log/ but not sure which one will contain the informaiton that I need. Many thanks for any advice,

    I can't seem to figure out the problems with my script to alter SQL Server 2008 database and file growth. There are two data files and a log file, all which need to have Autogrowth ON. Does this look completely wrong? Thanks!     For some reason(Happened before I started working on this project)- my client's website has 2 duplicates of every single file. Effectively tripling the size of the site. The files look much like this: wp-comments-post.php | 3,982 bytes wp-comments-post (john smith's conflicted copy 2012-01-12).php | 3,982 bytes wp-comments-post (JohnSmith's conflicted copy 2012-01-14).php | 3,982 bytes The hosting that the website is on has no access to bash or SSH. In your opinion, what would be the easiest way to delete these duplicate files that would take the least time?

  • Clone roaming Appdata in two places

    I have my users appdata (roaming) stored on a external server in the location that they're normally in. I have some users that are in two locations equally. This provides a problem when someone tries to open up Firefox on a computer in a location other than where their appdata is stored, it takes forever. Is there a way that I can clone the redirected appdata (roaming) folder to two locations and have the folder redirection look for appdata (roaming) based on the location that the user is at?

    I tried Sketchup to sketch a home design but I find the controls a bit frustrating. I can sketch 10 times faster in The Sims 3, plus it is nicer to look at. Though the metric system may not be 1:1 ratio to reality but it's close, maybe 15%-20% off but this is a just a sketch, right? Anyway, is there any software that does home design like The Sims 3? The same ease of use but at a more professional level and a real metric system?

  • Letters seem to be rendered incorrectly in Firefox

    So, when I'm browsing in firefox, some letters look grainy or glowing, does anyone know what might be causing this? It doesn't show on all websites, only some. It almost looks like Firefox is trying to render different font colours on top of each other and blends them in the process somehow.   • Where does Tomcat cache my taglib .jar files?

    I'm deploying a .jar file to a tomcat instance (we're running 6.0.18 on Redhat linux) and according to the log output the old .jar is still being used. I've restarted everthing I can think of, have deleted the work directory etc.etc. but to no avail. I'm no tomcat expert, so here's my question: where should I look for to ascertain if tomcat is using a cached jar and how should I prevent it from doing so?

    I just installed windows 7 on dell 4600 desktop. the Audio card is a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2. I've look all over, and I can't find a driver for windows 7. I've also looked at Vista Drivers. It seems Dell is not supporting Windows 7 with this computer. I've got a work around, but would like a driver if possible. Any help would be appreciated.

    I have a .vmdk (VMWare hard disk) file that I cannot use as the lone disk in a new virtual machine. If I attach it to an existing virtual machine then it works fine. It has Windows Server 2003 on it. When I attempt to boot the new VM it attempts a network boot. EDIT: VMWare Workstation 6.5 I could not find a PXE option in the settings, and I did look in the VM config file for "PXE" but did not find one.

    I'm trying to find the standard SoundFont used in WindowsXP's MIDI Wavetable Synthesizer. I don't know if I get this right, but there seems to be a set of Roland Sound Canvas samples used in XP's wavetable synthesizer. I looked for a SoundFont based on these samples, but either there is none in my Windows installation, or the MIDI playback works in a different way. Anyone has an idea where to look for it?

    I have a file sharing website, and my files hosted in a server with those system specifications: 32GB RAM 12x3TB 2x Intel Quad Core E5620 I have files in this server up to 4gb for each file. 446gb is full (/36TB) [root@hosted-by ~]# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/sda2 50G 2.7G 44G 6% / tmpfs 16G 0 16G 0% /dev/shm /dev/sda1 97M 57M 36M 62% /boot /dev/mapper/VolGroup01-LogVol00 33T 494G 33T 2% /home And take a look at this: Why is the wa% so high? (I think that what makes the server to be so slow)

    I'm trying to configure the cygwin to work with TWiki, I have to input this in the Cygwin bash shell: mount -b -s c:/... but it doesn't recognize the "-s", I already fixed the problem with -b, it changed the syntax and now is "mount -o binary" for the "mount -b"part. But now it says unknown option with the "-s" anyone?? help?? or what does the -s mean, so I can look it up :S
