    So I have the following HTML and am trying to change which item is selected. <select name="coolselectbox"> <option value="default" selected="selected">---</option> <option value="something">Something</option> <option value="something-else">Something Else</option> </select> Here's what I've tried: QWebElement defaultOpt = this->page()->mainFrame()->findFirstElement("option[value=default]"); QWebelement somethingOpt = this->page()->mainFrame()->findFirstElement("option[value=something]"); defaultOpt.removeAttribute("selected"); somethingOpt.setAttribute("selected", "selected"); And then also: QWebElement selectBox = this->page()->mainFrame()->findFirstElement("select[name=coolselectbox]"); selectBox.setAttribute("value", "something-else"); However neither of these seems to get the job done. Does anyone know a Qt solution, or is there perhaps some JavaScript snippet I can run to do this?

    I have a small windows client application data bound to a single table backend. I created a DataSet using the wizard in VS 2005, and it automatically create the underlying adapter and a GridView. I also have a RichText control and bound it to this DataSet. All well so far but, I need to replace certain characters(~) on the fly before the data is shown in the RichTextbox. Can this be done.

  • Is there any way to "peek" at a file while it's uploading through HTTP onto a Windows box?

    I need to add a file upload function to an ASP.NET website and would like to be able to read a small portion of the file on the server while it's still uploading. A peek or preview type function so I can determine contents and give some feedback to the user while it is still uploading (we're talking about large files here). Is there any way to do this? I'm thinking worst case of writing a custom control which uploads only a fixed number of bytes of the file once chosen and then under the covers starts another upload of the full file. Not totally sure even this is possible, but I'm looking for a more elegant solution anyway... Thanks!

I want to set a value for the same.     I am very new to MVC and just learning the basics. I have been following along in Nerd Dinner and used the demo as a way to create my own app. I have created a page that lists out some food items with calories, fat, protein,etc... (http://rjsfitness.net/CalorieList) This is one of my own personal sites that I set up to test out MVC. I got a lot of it working but I am stuck on the textbox with a search button. If I manually type the url (http://rjsfitness.net/CalorieList/Search/choc) I get the right listing. Why isn't my button click using the right routing and giving me the search results?

    I'm trying to find a way to force Windows to reboot, and I am running into issues. I've tried Set OpSysSet = GetObject("winmgmts:{authenticationlevel=Pkt," _ & "(Shutdown)}").ExecQuery("select * from Win32_OperatingSystem where "_ & "Primary=true") for each OpSys in OpSysSet retVal = OpSys.Reboot() next I've also tried using the shutdown -f -r command, and in both cases I sometimes get no response, and if I try again I get an error saying "Action could not complete because the system is shutting down" even though no matter how long I leave it it doesn't shut down, it still allows me to start new programs, and doing a shutdown -a gives the same error. How can a script be used to force Windows to reboot?

    I would like to intercept outgoing calls and pass them to a VOIP application. I see that the Google Voice application has a feature for displaying a question before each call is actually initiated. It provides the user with the choice: Initiate call via Google Voice Initiate call via standard call I would like a way to do something similar with my application (so that not all calls have to be routed through it). At the moment, I can intercept CALL events via a BroadcastReceiver, however, these are not allowed to open dialogs (thus making it possible to display the choice). What is the best way of achieving this goal?

If amend the hbm files produced by FNH then the code works. Does anyone know what it's wrong? Thanks in advance.

  • Calculate total time between Dates in Hours and Minutes

    Hi I’m trying to resolve a problem using VB and I need some assistance. I’m very new to the language (1 week). The problem is I have created a user form to show how many hours and minutes has elapsed between two different times similar to a time sheet. The user form consists of two calendars, and under each calendar there are two text boxes; one box each to record the Hour and Minute they left and two further boxes to record the time they arrived back. I have used the code to minus the calendars together (e.g calendar in – calendar out) then times this by 24 to indicate the hours away. Then under the calendar out I have a text box for the user to type in the hour they left. Then I minus the 24 by the Hour out e.g. if it was 24 -15 it will appear 9 ( 9 hours of that day ) then I would add that to the figure they inserted in the text box Hour in (Return Time). e.g 14. Then I would add them to together e.g. 9 + 14 = 23 and have this displayed in another text box Total Hours. Therefore it would display 23 meaning 23 hours. I have then want to show another two text boxes to indicate minutes. One for Minutes Out then Minutes In. I have the problem to convert these minutes for instance if it is the out time is 15:50 and the in time the next day is at 15:55 it displays as 24 (in one text box) and 105 minutes (in the other text box). I would like the minutes added to the hour and have the balance of the remaining minutes in the minute text box. This should display 24 (in one text box) and 5 (in another text box). The ultimate aim is to get a result that shows a person was absent for a number of days, hours and minutes, eg, 2 days, 5 hours and 10 minutes. Any ideas on how I can modify my code to achieve this?     Qt3.3 used to allow for multiple selections in the QTextEdit widget by calling the setSelection() function and specifying a different selection id (selNum) as the last argument in that function. In Qt4, to create a selection, I do it by creating a QTextCursor object and call the setPosition() or movePosition() methods. I have no problems being able to create a single selection of text. I am, however, unable to find a way to create multiple selections. The methods in Qt4 do not have an argument which allows you to set a selection id, nor can i find any other function in the QTextCursor or QTextEdit which looks like it might allow me to do so. Has this feature been completely removed from Qt4? or has is there a new and different way of doing it? Thanks. Ronny
