  • On-line Based Conferencing For Admin Panel

    Working on my admin panels work station section which will allow the admin to use simple office tools such as word editors, calculators and whatnot. Under this section of the admin panel, I would like to add a conferencing feature which will allow any administrator to connect with another administrator 1-2-1 under the 1-2-1 Conferencing section, or to join a meeting under 'live meeting' section. Upon my search for on-line based, I found there are all these, what seem to be great applications out there, however not all of them are on-line based, and come with a price! I would like to a purely on-line based conferencing/meeting/1-2-1 feature which will allow administrators to communicate via text or sound, stream their video, share their screen and sending of files. I know this sounds like a big feature, and I am not asking for someone to answer by programming one for my website! Does anyone know my best solution to progress to having this feature on my website, any tutorials or free to use, free to modify web plugins? Thank you for your help, Best Regards, Tim

  • Sending a file over web service from java to .net

    Hello, I have built .NET 1.1 Web Service which should accept files and save them. All I get is byte array with only one element. Definition of byte array for file, in WSDL looks like this: <s:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" name="docbinaryarray" type="s:base64Binary" /> He sends me base64binary and fails every time. All I get is Byte array with only one element inside.

  • How to specify MQ channel table location for .net web application using web.config

    I've been going around in circles for a while on this one now. I'm trying to connect to a distributed queue manager using a supplied channel table file. I can get this to work if I specify the environmental variable MQCHLLIB and MQCHLTAB on my server. However the IBM documentation states that the .net config file can override these variables. Here is what I have placed in my web.config file: ... <configSections> <section name="CHANNELS" type="System.Configuration.NameValueSectionHandler" /> </configSections> <CHANNELS> <add key="ChannelDefinitionDirectory" value="C:\temp"></add> <add key="ChannelDefinitionFile" value="DSM_MOM_TEST.tab"></add> </CHANNELS> ... And here is the code that is executing: Hashtable properties = new Hashtable(); //Add managed connection type to parameters. const String connectionType = MQC.TRANSPORT_MQSERIES_CLIENT; properties.Add(MQC.TRANSPORT_PROPERTY, connectionType); return new MQQueueManager(queueManagerName, properties); queueManagerName is set to the generic queue manager "*Q101T". However this isn't working and I get an error returned: 2058 MQRC_Q_MGR_NAME_ERROR I've been unable to find any more documentation on how to get this to work other than the environmental variables and the standard mqclient.ini should be overriden by the channels stanza in the web.config. Is there something that I've missed in the code? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

  • NHibernate / ORM - Child Update over Web Service

    What is the correct way to UPDATE a child object with NHibernate but not have to "awake" the parent object. Lets say you would like to try to avoid this because the parent object is large or expensive to initiate. Lets assume classes are called Author(parent) and Book(child). (still, trying to avoid instantiating Author) Book comes back over a web service as XML. It gets deserialized back into a CLR object. Book has an AuthorId property which allows this to happen. But it also has a Author property. Problem, comes when you try to SaveOrUpdate() Book and the author_id in the database gets wiped out because the Author was null when the object gets deserialized. This seems like this would be a common problem. What is the workaround? Also, if you instantiate the Author and it has a Books property. The book you are trying to update is already one of these books (List<Book>). We have also run into the "a different object with the same identifier value was already associated with the session" problems. What is the standard process to update a child over a web service?

    I'm trying to pass a ViewData object from a master page to a view user control using the ViewDataDictionary. The problem is the ViewDataDictionary is not returning any values in the view user control whichever way i try it. The sample code below is using an anonymous object just for demonstration although neither this method or passing a ViewData object works. Following is the RenderPartial helper method i'm trying to use: <% Html.RenderPartial("/Views/Project/Projects.ascx", ViewData.Eval("Projects"), new ViewDataDictionary(new { Test = "Mark" })); %> and in my view user control i do the following: <%= Html.Encode(ViewData["Test"]) %> Why does this not return anything? We're working in a Dynamic Data project that will handle entities coming from two different namespaces: myModel.Abby and myModel.Ben. whose classes are: Abby myModel.Abby.Car myModel.Abby.Lollipop Ben myModel.Ben.Car myModel.Ben.Apple So myModel.Abby.Car and myModel.Ben.Car are homonym. when I try to register both ObjectContext's, an exception is thrown telling us that there are type name conflicts between the mentioned classes (although the types belong to different namespaces). How can we overcome type-name conflicts, caused by repeated type names among different namespaces?

  • Urlrewriting.net pages are not causing postbacks

    I'm using webforms with UrlRewriting.Net to rewrite pages, e.g. http://www.example.com/stuff.aspx?c=30 becomes http://www.example.com/stuff/30-this-stuff.aspx. It works in so far as the correct content is loading; however, none of the postbacks are working (mostly buttons on the page). If I set up a breakpoint on Page_Load, I see that IsPostBack is always false. Any ideas on how to fix this? Right now I'm just on Visual Studio 2008. EDIT: I have since switched to UrlRewriter.Net, which worked after a few tweaks (see Scott Gu's article). Besides here, I have posted my original problem to the developer's forum: if I ever get an answer, I'll post it here (unless else posts it here first).

  • MVC.NET project won't start under IIS 5.1 on Windows XP SP3

    I've a MVC.NET 2 project that runs fine under Windows 7 and will start on Windows XP if I use the Visual Studio Development Server, however, starting under IIS generates an error: Unable to start debugging on the web server With the message The specified procedure could not be found No errors in the system event viewer. If I start without debugging I get an "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error" The reason I run it under IIS is the project also includes some WCF wsHttp web services that use certificates, so the VS Development Server is not adequate for hosting those. I have already seen the links on SO that talk about adding the wildcard mapping. I've already done that, just as I've done on Windows Server 2003 where I successfully host MVC.NET RC2 for quite a while.

From whatever little I have analyzed, integrating at presentation layer will be far more challenging in comparison to doing so at business layer. That means (I guess) I will have to use the BlogEngine.Core.dll in my application. I am looking for some sort of approval from the community, complimented with suggested do's and dont's. BTW, I find the business layer a bit intimidating (complex) as I want some basic & necessary features only.

    For our small team of 20 developers, we used do code review like: Make a label in svn and publish the label to the reviewers Reviewers checkout the code and add comments in line (with marker like: // REVIEWER_NAME::REVIEW COMMENT:) After all comments are in, reviewer checks in the code, preferably with new label. Developer checks the comments and makes changes (if appropriate) Developer keeps an excel sheet report for considered changes and reasons for ignored comments Problem: Developer needs to keep track of multiple labels which might have same comments Sometimes we even do One on One review and if we really have time, even do Table review (team of reviewers looks at the code on projector, on the fly, and pass comment) I was wondering: Are you guys using any specific tool which helps to do code reviews smoother? I have heard of Code Collaborator. But have anyone used that? Is it worth the money?

  • IIS7 Session ID rotating with Classic ASP

    I am trying to migrate a Classic ASP app onto a Windows 2008 R2 server. The application features run fine, but I am having issue with session. The application keeps the logged in user information in session and I am constantly getting knocked out as if the session had expired. While debugging I have discovered the sessions are not expiring but instead I am getting 2-3 different Session IDs in use by one browser. I am outputting Response.Write(Session.SessionID) on various pages in the application and I can sit there and hit refresh over and over and watch the number changed between these 2-3 SessionIDs randomly. The sessions are still valid because when I refresh and get the Session ID that I logged in under the page is displayed (because the security check was successful) and when I get one of the other Session IDs I get the "you aren't logged in, you need to log in" message. If I close and re-open the browser, same story just the set of IDs are new. This happens with IE8, Firefox and Chrome from multiple computers. Things I've tried: - AppPool set to No Managed Code and Classic - Output Caching set .asp to never cache - ASP Session Properties enabled and disabled asp session state and confirmed it affected page (error trying to read Session.SessionID when disabled) Things I've tried just in case but shouldn't have anything to do with ASP Session: - Disabled compression - Changed ASP.Net Session State properties (InProc, StateServer, SQLServer, Cookies, URI, etc) -

The features I want to profile are: WinPcap native features (sending packets in different ways, receiving packets in different ways...) Interpreting packets that Pcap.Net knows how to interpret (like Etherent, IPv4, UDP, TCP, ICMP, ...) Building packet that Pcap.Net knows how to build (the same types it knows how to interpret). I also want to be able to profile the benchmark using Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate profiling tools. My question is: What should my benchmark exactly do to cover these issues and how would you suggest to build it?

    Hi, I am trying to put together a test case for using Lucene.NET on one of our websites. I'd like to do the following: Index in a single unique id. Index across a comma delimitered string of terms or tags. For example. Item 1: Id = 1 Tags = Something,Separated-Term I will then be structuring the search so I can look for documents against tag i.e. tags:something OR tags:separate-term I need to maintain the exact term value in order to search against it. I have something running, and the search query is being parsed as expected, but I am not seeing any results. Here's some code. The customer is than bound to the user control. When the name template is instantiated in the container, the customer object is not yet available, but I need to access its name because it needs to get parsed before. protected void Page_Init(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (nameTemplate != null ) { // customer is null here, it is avaiable only after Page_Init... NameContainer container = new NameContainer(customer.Id, Parse(customer.Name)); nameTemplate.InstantiateIn(container); placeHolder.Controls.Add(container); } } Question: How can I access properties set for the user control BEFORE the template container is instantiated?
