• Using code snippets in Visual Studio

  Right now when I want to use the cw snippet, I'm typing cw, tab, tab. Is this the correct(fastest!) way of doing it? If there'd be some way of only having to hit once the tab key or any other key i'd be glad to know it.

  can you update your 2.3.5 app with just "gem update rails" and change the version # in environment.rb? I did that and lots of errors came out like in console just typing Post.all would show "undefined method `retrieve_connection' for nil:NilClass". Any ideas?   I have a ListActivity based on an ArrayAdapter with setTextFilterEnabled set to true. This works fine on a device with a physical keyboard. When I start typing something on the keyboard, the items get filtered. My question is how to get the same behavior on a device with no physical keyboard?

  when i run "gem -v" i get 1.3.5 i want to upgrade that version cause the bundler gem has to run on a higher version. i have run "apt-get install rubygems" but the version when typing "gem -v" is still 1.3.5. i cant use "gem update --system" on ubuntu, it tells me to update gem using apt-get. please help

  I found all the code I need to make SHBrowseForFolder work in my application. But I hate that it forces you to do everything in the little folder window, without a text box to navigate by typing. In Windows, I know I commonly see a different folder browse dialog that does let me type folder names and use the other regular navigation keys to get around to select the desired folder (backspace, "..", Enter, and so on). Is there a different API call for that?

• LAMP Ubuntu installation

  I installed LAMP on Ubuntu 10.04. Now whenever I try to access http://localhost/ I get this message: Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Apache/2.2.14 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80 I tried changing the permissions of the var/www/ folder by clicking ALT-f2, typing in "gksu nautilus" and right clicking the folder and changing the permissions but I still get a 403 forbidden error. Any idea what's going on?

  I've build a livesearch with the jQuery.ajax() method. On every keyup events it receives new result data from the server. The problem is, when I'm typing very fast, e.g. "foobar" and the GET request of "fooba" requires more time than the "foobar" request, the results of "fooba" are shown. To handle this with the timeout parameter is impossible, I think. Has anyone an idea how to solve this?

• Can you restrict entering an invalid entries with jquery ui autocomplete

  when using the jquery ui autocomplete, i would thought there would be an option to force only valid key entry based on the list. Is there anyway to not allow invalid keys so you can only enter valid items in the list? if my list has (csharp, java, python) i can start typing "abcds . ." and it lets me type it in. I want only valid entries to be allowed.
