• Facebox adding commas to input

  I'm using a facebox to display a form inside a lightbox, nothing too exciting (just a couple of datepickers, some textboxes and a checkbox). However, I'm having issues with the postbacks, whenever I post back from the facebox it adds a ',' to the start of the input (so "rabbit" becomes ",rabbit") Now, I saw that there was the same issue with the modalpopup extender from the ajaxcontroltoolkit, so I assume it's a common issue. Can anyone either explain why this is happening, or tell me how to fix it? provide a decent way of fixing this? I have actually done it, and it works very nicely, but I don't really want to answer my own bounty question so someone else give it a go!   I've recently started to use SQLite and began to integrate it into a C# project I'm working on. However, randomly my project will throw the exception: Input array is longer than the number of columns in this table I'm having a hard time trying the trace the problem because it seems to be thrown on a random basis. • Mac OS X pygame input goes to Terminal instead of Python

  I'm having trouble running a pygame based app on Mac OS X via Terminal. Input events such as keystrokes go to the Terminal instead of my Python app, and are detected by pygame. For example, I have the following test script: import pygame pygame.init() screen = pygame.display.set_mode((640, 480)) done = False while not done: pygame.event.pump() keys = pygame.key.get_pressed() if keys[pygame.K_ESCAPE]: done = True if keys[pygame.K_SPACE]: print "got here" Neither K_ESCAPE nor K_SPACE will be handled by this script when I run it from a Mac OS X Terminal, but Terminal will echo back the spaces. I'm running the MacPorts port of pygame (py-game), which depends on Python 2.4, and I've also used python_select to make python24 the active version.

• IE form input data disappear after browser refresh

  Hi, I'm trying to achieve sticky forms without PHP. My setup is AJAX like javascript. The back/forward work fine on both IE and FF, but refresh only works on FF, not IE. Doesn't matter what cache options I use, I've even set IE's temporary files option to never check for updates, and the input value is gone after page refresh(the refresh button or F5) I've read many posts where people have the opposite problem, and do not want form data to persist across page refresh, and never read from browser cache, but I do. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

  I am trying to copy a file using the following code: File targetFile = new File(targetPath + File.separator + filename); ... targetFile.createNewFile(); fileInputStream = new FileInputStream(fileToCopy); fileOutputStream = new FileOutputStream(targetFile); byte[] buffer = new byte[64*1024]; int i = 0; while((i = fileInputStream.read(buffer)) != -1) { fileOutputStream.write(buffer, 0, i); } For some users the targetFile.createNewFile results in this exception: java.io.IOException: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect at java.io.WinNTFileSystem.createFileExclusively(Native Method) at java.io.File.createNewFile(File.java:850) Filename and directory name seem to be correct. The directory targetPath is even checked for existence before the copy code is executed and the filename looks like this: AB_timestamp.xml The user has write permissions to the targetPath and can copy the file without problems using the OS. As I don't have access to a machine this happens on yet and can't reproduce the problem on my own machine I turn to you for hints on the reason for this exception.

  I am not able to use MediaPlayer/VideoView to make rtsp to work in Android. So I have created a client to interact with RTSP server, I have succeeded in doing this. I am able to get the video/audio frame from RTSP server (MySpace) in Android. Now I want to play the frames. I have searched OpenCore APIs to play the frames, but didn't get any APIs. My investigation: There is a class PlayerDriver.c It creates two sinks one audio and other video. handleSetVideoSurface handleSetAudioSink Two objects of type PVPlayerDataSinkPVMFNode are created. I suspect this class has a way to give the stream as input, but I am not getting the definition of this class. Can you suggest me is there any class I need to look into it?

Is there a way to search both columns with only one input box? • Safari ignores input type="file" on server post

  I have a real problem with a classic ASP page. The page allows the user to upload a document and save it to the database. The intial page posts to another asp page which saves down to the db. This works on IE and Firefox. However on Safari it fails. I've debugged the problem and it boils down to the fact that of all the controls that the server page has access to, only 1 control is missing. This happens to be this: <input type="file" size="40" id="myfile" name="myfile" /> So I'm wondering why safari would decide to not give me access to this control (using asp's Request("") ) and why it works in FF and IE. I have some debug code which writes out all controls and it doesn't see this control. p.s. I hate Web development

• Handling newline character in input between Windows and Linux

  I think this is a standard problem which may have been asked before but I could not get the exact answer so posting the issue. The issue is that our server is running on a linux box. We access the server over the browser on a window box to enter data into field which is supposed to contain multiple lines which user can enter by pressing the enter key after each line Abc Def GHI When this input field (this is a text area),is read on the linux machine, we want to split the data based on new line character. I had three question on this. Does the incoming data contain "\r\n" or "\n" If incoming data does contain "\r\n", the linux line.separator property (vm property) would not work for me as it would say "\n" and therefore may leave "\r" in the data. If "\r" is left in the data, if I open the file on a windows machine, will this mean a newline character? Finally can anyone tell me the standard way to deal with this issue?

  Hi all, I'm new to pgf so i was trying out some examples from the pgfplot manual. One example is especially relevant for my current task but, alas, it would not compile. Here is the code: \documentclass[11pt]{article} \usepackage{tikz} \usepackage{pgfplots} \begin{document} \begin{tikzpicture} \begin{axis}[symbolic x coords={a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i}] \addplot+[smooth] coordinates { (a,42) (b,50) (c,80) (f,60) (g,62) (i,90)}; \end{axis} \end{tikzpicture} \end{document} the compiler quits with the following error: ! Package PGF Math Error: Could not parse input 'a' as a floating point number, sorry. The unreadable part was near 'a'.. I have no clue how to correct this behavior. Other plots (smooth, scatter, bar), which contain only numerical data compile fine. Could anybody give me a hint? Cheers K.

  I have created a web service with JAX-WS. When the input SOAP message is not well formed or can not be validated, a soap fault is returned automatically to the caller. I dont want the caller to receive this standard SOAP message but i want to create an own custom SOAP fault. So if the call looks like this (note Envelope1, its not valid): hello a default return message is something like this: S:Client Couldn't create SOAP message due to exception: unexpected XML tag. expected: {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Envelope but found: {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Envelope1 I want the return message to be something like this: S:Client My own custom SOAP message! • Sanitize json input to a java server

  I'm using json to pass data between the browser and a java server. I'm using Json-lib to convert between java objects and json. I'd like to strip out susupicious looking stuff (i.e "doSomethingNasty().) from the user input while converting from json to java. I can imagine several points at which I could do this: I could examine the raw json string and strip out funny-looking stuff I could look for a way to intercept every json value on its way into the java object, and look for funny stuff there. I could traverse my new java objects immediately after reconstitution from json, look for any fields that are Strings, and stripp stuff out there. What's the best approach? Are there any technologies built for this this task that I tack tack on to what I have already?

  Hello, I am looking at some sort of existing filter which can sanitize the user input to avoid XSS. Probably I can use htmlspecialchars for that. But at the same time I want to be able to parse all links (should match a.com, www.a.com and http://www.a.com and if it is http://www.aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.com then it should display it as aaa..a.com), e-mails and smileys. I am wondering what is the best way to go about it. I am currently using a php function with some regex, but many times the regex simply fails (because of link recognition is incorrect etc.). I want something very similar to the parser used during Google Chat (even a.com works). Thank you for your time.

  I have a form that works as follows.. Server request builds XML of the data on server side and sends xml, XSL stylesheet then transforms the XML data into the plain html page distributing the data to the relevant/desired locations of the form on the page. Person can view page and edit the populated form, submit back to DB. I think JSON is more suitable for this from what I have read. The form itself is split into 3 areas, for me this is 3 maps/associative arrays etc each with a name related to the id of an input element etc. The problem for me comes with having the JSON sent to the page, what should I do with it next in order to achieve the same result as I currently get with XML and XSL.   I'm working on a PHP collaboration software project. I have a page that shows the latest updates from other users who are adding content to the database, but also has a form input to allow the user to enter text. I am currently using this code to refresh the page automatically every 30 seconds: header('Refresh: 30'); The problem is that the header code refreshes the entire page, and not just what is pulled from the database. Is there any PHP code that will just pull any new data from the database without refreshing the entire page? If someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
