    Hello, I have 3 tables and I am joining these 2 tables as follows: SELECT EMP.FNAME,EMP.LNAME,EMP.AGE,EMPD.TQ,EMPD.TA,CTY.CITY_NAME FROM EMPLOYEE EMP,EMPLOYEE_DETAIL EMPD, CITY CTY WHERE EMP.EMP_ID=EMPD.EMP_ID AND EMPD_CITY_ID=CTY.CITY_ID I want to display records even if City record is not in CITY table. For eg. if City_ID record for say 10 is not in City table but there is an employee detail record with City_id 10 it should display City_name as null instead of not displaying the record at all. Appreciate your help

    I have been trying to setup Android Honeycomb (3.2) with VirtualBox according to this tutorial: http://androidspin.com/2011/01/24/howto-install-android-x86-2-2-in-virtualbox/ but using this iso instead: http://code.google.com/p/android-x86/downloads/detail?name=android-x86-3.2-RC1-tegav2.iso&can=2&q When I type netcfg if gives me: 127.0.0.1/8, so apparently it is not connecting in the network. I tried setting the network to NAT and Bridge, but no results.. Is there anything I am missing?

    hi i have to upload a video.but i want to gives permission only authenticate user to download .but i have a problem in that.because if any body type the video detail in browser.(ex http://sitename/folder_name/videoname) then browser download that video.but i don't want this .please suggest me how can i resolve this problem.either i should generate the video name randomly or make a temporary folder in which video reside only for specific time,after this video will be delete.     At my job, we have pseudo-standard of creating one table to hold the "standard" information for an entity, and a second table, named like 'TableNameDetails', which holds optional data elements. On average, for every row in the main table will have about 8-10 detail rows in it. My question is: What kind of performance impacts does this have over adding these details as additional nullable columns on the main table?

    Using Hibernate, what is the most efficient way to determine if a table is empty or non-empty? In other words, does the table have 0, or more than 0 rows? I could execute the HQL query select count(*) from tablename and then check if result is 0 or non-0, but this isn't optimal as I would be asking the database for more detail than I really need.
