• View of nodes and their translations

  I'm trying to create a view of nodes and their translations. Specifically, I want each row to show the node title for each language. The way I'm doing it right now is by filtering the view by a specific language, then adding one relationship of type "Node translation: Translations" for each language on the site. I can then choose the "Node: Title" field, once for the original language and once per relationship. The problem with this approach is that the nodes that don't exist in the filtered language, but exist in other languages, are not included in the view. That's what I need help with.

• Javascript culture always en-us

  I'm not sure if I understand this code or if I'm using it right, but I was under the impression that in an ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX website I could run javascript like: var c = Sys.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture and it would give me the culture/language settings the user had specified in their browser at the time of the visit. However, for me, it always comes back 'en-US' no matter what language I pick in firefox or IE. This serverside code however: string[] languages = HttpContext.Current.Request.UserLanguages; if (languages == null || languages.Length == 0) return null; try { string language = languages[0].ToLowerInvariant().Trim(); return CultureInfo.CreateSpecificCulture(language); } catch (ArgumentException) { return null; } does return the language I have currently set. But I need to do this clientside, because I need to parse a string into a datetime and do some validations before I postback, and the string could be a MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY, or some other such thing. What am I missing?

  Python is compiled into an intermediate bytecode(pyc) and then executed. So, there is a compilation followed by interpretation. However, long-time Python users say that Python is a "late-binding" language and that it should`nt be referred to as an interpreted language. How would Python be different from another interpreted language? Could you tell me what "late-binding" means, in the Python context? Java is another language which first has source code compiled into bytecode and then interpreted into bytecode. Is Java an interpreted/compiled language? How is it different from Python in terms of compilation/execution? Java is said to not have, "late-binding". Does this have anything to do with Java programs being slighly faster than Python? Itd be great if you could also give me links to places where people have already discussed this; id love to read more on this. Thank you.

• How to get espeak working?

  hi I when i am trying to run virtual machine on VMW 6.5 it shows me following error. "Not enough physical memory is available to power on this virtual machine with its configured settings. To fix this problem, adjust the additional memory settings to allow more virtual machine memory to be swapped. If you were able to power on this virtual machine on this host computer in the past, try rebooting the host computer. Rebooting may allow you to use slightly more host memory to run virtual machines." i have also tried options that are suggested from above error, but still its not working. • Error Installing DNS Server Role on Windows 2008 Server. Error Code 0x80070643

  I'm having a problem adding the DNS server role to my Windows 2008 Server domain controller. Normally, when I use dcpromo to create a new domain, the DNS service gets installed automatically without error. However, I'm getting this fatal 0x80070643 error. It has nothing to do with my network adapters not having an IP address (as stated by Microsoft), since one of my NICs has a static IP. Has anyone else seen this issue before?

• WRT54G - how use port forwarding and VNC

  Since I have my home network behind a WRT54G, the router has an external "real" IP address, and the PCs behind it have 192.168.xxx.xxx addresses. I would like to be able to control one of them remotely - preferably using UltraVNC, but I am open to suggestions. Since I can't directly address that PC from the internet, I figured I could address a port on my router and have the traffic forwarded to the PC (and the same in the reverse direction). Is that feasible? Can anyone tell me how to do it (or point me to an URL that does)? Thanks

  Hello, I just bought an HTC Touch Pro2. I previously have used a MotoQ. On the Q, I managed to write XML code to change my color scheme (not just the bars, but the background color and font colors.) I cannot seem to find how to do this on the HTC. I will explain: I am legally blind and can only see my phone if the colors are reversed i.e. I need the background of all menus and such to be black and the font to be white. Can anyone help me? I am a desperate woman!!!!

• Htpc aka "Media Center": cheap and *silent*?

  It may be me, or the place I live (Italy), but it seems pretty hard to get a build or a prebuilt nettop or a laptop that fits the need. I need something silent able to playback all h.264 fullhd content without stuttering, and well (and not loosing the hw acceleration because of softsubs...) silent not ugly silent and (possibly) cheap. I'm going the linux route, therefore i'm moving towards a cpu-based or nvida-integrated solution (i don't think ati hw accelerated playback - or the intel "hd" acceleration - is useable yet). Ion nettop; it's either the Acer Revo (but here it's incredibly pricey and it's hard to find the dualcore version) or the Asrock Ion 330, that in the current version is rated "silent" at 26Db. 26. Sounds pretty noisy to me!!! the previous version was even worse. was this product really aimed at htpc market?? the Dell Zino - i think it's ATI based unfortunately. Laptop: correct me if I'm wrong: sub 600€/$ units are quite loud under full load (because of the tiny fans). ULW laptops are indeed quite similar: tiniest fans = high pitched noise and the cpu still lacks power for non hd-accelerated video decoding Handmade build: little money can be saved with underpowered cpus, a low-midrange cpu would help in the case of non-hw-accelerated content the cases are quite pricey the PSU one has to get ranges between 100/150 €/$ minimum to keep the noise down a low-mid build, all included, sums up to over 650 €/$ for a still-looking-ugly-unit, without the blu-ray drive. Please help. What do you advise on this? ;) Am I ignoring laptops too much, maybe? Are low-priced Acers that noisy/high pitched under full load?

  On our network, when the user is logged on a PC and then tries to login on his laptop he is getting this error: " Windows cannot copy "..\%username%\Application Data\firefox\profiles....\parent.lock file to the local C:..." I have tried deleting the profiles and also uninstalled firefox, but nothing seems to be resolving the problem. Any ideas ?

• DVD-RW Drive not recognizing a DVD+R disc

  Hi everyone, I am having trouble burning DVD+R disc's. My OS is vista and i have used this burner and these same discs in the past. I haven't had the need to do so in months and now that i come back to create some backups my DVD/RW drive doesn't recognize a brand new DVD+R disc. These disc are the same ones i have used in the past(Same Pack even). Anyone have any idea what this might be. Maybe a vista upgrade or something that i downloaded in the last few months that could have thrown something off? Thanks in advance.

• How to copy a bunch of pages? Is there a 3rd party tool?

  (I asked the following question at the DNN forum, and also at snowcovered. Nobody knew of such an obvious time-saver being for sale. I'm posting here in case anybody knows of a freeware module that might do this.) By "groups of dnn pages", I mean pages that form a hierarchy (not necessary a hierarchy that is headed with a page at the same level as the Home page.) I know that I can copy web pages, one by one, using the admin login via the web-based dnn interface. But, I'd prefer a script or wizard, of some sort (that runs scripts behind the scenes) that can allow me to 1) specify a web page that I want to copy (along with the hierarchy of pages under it) 2) specify the names and titles of the new top-level pages 3) specify whether the contained modules of the top-level page that I want to copy is to be : ( ) New ( ) Copy ( ) Reference (as in the web-based interface) 4) repeat 3) for each of the source pages in the hierarchy that I want to copy You might say that I am looking to do something similar to creating a portal web site based on a template, except that it's not an entirely new website - instead it's a section of the current web site. I might want to do this because I have an organization which is broken into chapters, and I want each chapter to have, say, it's own General Information page (which acts like it's home page), and underneath that, in it's hierarchy, a Contact Info page and an Events page. so: Home Page   General Information Page     Contact Info     Events -- Home Page   General Information Page     Contact Info     Events   General Information Page Kiwanis - Bloomfield     Contact Info     Events   General Information Page Kiwanis - Dayton     Contact Info     Events If I have 200 chapters, I certainly don't want to copy those 3 web pages using the web based interface, as that would take a long time.   I have currently set up my web application on Amazon EC2 server. As a well known fact sending email from EC2 has a problem. As a cheap and long lasting solution instead of using "authsmtp" is it possible to rent a server and use it as a Mail Server? I am currently looking for cheap hosting which will give me root access so that it can be configured and used as a relayhost. I am curently using Postfix as MTA. Has any one implemented this before? I am curious about its feasibility of this solution. I guess common requirements are: Dedicated IP which is not black listed Open relay( open to my Server only) Any Tips for Header configurations to keep the mails out of spam folder. This is like exactly cloning authsmtp for personal use. Any suggestions for other Mail Server software instead of Postfix?

• How can I set up sendmail to forward all mail to an external MTA?

  We have multiple applications that currently talk SMTP to an external MTA. The emails have arbitrary destination domains (they're emails to be sent to our users), but all from the same internal domain ([email protected]). I want to set up an internal MTA (i guess with sendmail) that queues all mails, and have the internal MTA forward these emails to the external MTA, because the external MTA occasionally goes down and this causes various problems in our applications. I figure I can set up sendmail as a queuing middleware. If the above assumptions are correct, what would the sendmail configuration look like? The 'mailertable' feature looks promising, and so does 'SMART_HOST'. Any thoughts before I explore these possibilities? Jae

• Dreamhost DNS CNAMEs work at my house, not for anyone else

  I have my domain BQQKSHELF.COM that I bought through Dreamhost. I set up a CNAME so that zach.bqqkshelf.com points to my app at zach.heroku.com. The app at Heroku is working fine. Everyone can agree on that. When I go to zach.bqqkshelf.com, everything seems to work okay too. When I ask my roommate to go to it, it works. When I go to it on my iTouch, it works. When I IM my friends and ask them to go to zach.bqqkshelf.com, they get a time out error. How is this possible?
