    So we have three FLEX controls hosted within a JBOSS server instance, and an IIS (MVC) application which has pages that have the object (and embed) tags to render the controls. We are wanting to setup HTTP basic authentication on the jboss server which is hosting other services (Solr, some custom webservices, and tika) and have figured out how to pass the credentials. How can you send those basic http authentication credentials to a flex control in object/embed tags??

    I'm loading custom user controls into my form using reflection. I would like all my user controls to have a "Start" and "End" method so they should all be like: public interface IStartEnd { void Start(); void End(); } public class AnotherControl : UserControl, IStartEnd { public void Start() { } public void End() { } } I would like an interface to load through reflection, but the following obviously wont work as an interface cannot inherit a class: public interface IMyUserControls : UserControl, IInit, IDispose { }

  • Extending the SketchFlow player

    I would like to add some controls to the SketchFlow player. For example, I would like to add a combo box with a list of values for a specific variable, and selecting a value will make a specific screen/state show up in the SketchFlow player canvas. Is this possible? I have seen that using the PlayerContext allows access to some controls/events in the Player, but I am not sure how extensible the Player itself is.

    I have a gridview that includes dynamically created dropdownlist. When changing the dropdown values and doing a mass update on the grid (btnUpdate.click), I have to create the controls in the page init so they will be available to the viewstate. However, I have several other buttons that also cause a postback and I don't want to create the controls in the page init, but rather later in the button click events. How can I tell which control fired the postback while in page_init? __EVENTTARGET = "" and request.params("btnUpdate") is nothing

  • WPF performance for large number of elements on the screen

    Im currently trying to create a Scene in WPF where I have around 250 controls on my screen and the user can Pan and Zoom in and out of these controls using the mouse. I have run the WPF Performance Suite tools on the application when there are a large number of these controls on the screen (i.e. when the user has zoomed right out) the FPS drops down to around 15 which is not very good.     I have a Telerik RadDatePicker, which I am binding to the SelectedDate property. I want this control to show a validation error when the default date set in the control is removed/deleted. I was able to achieve this, but the problem was that the validation error occurs only when Enter is pressed or when we click outside the control. Is there a way tell RadDatePicker to update the source without moving the focus? (Tried UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged, but still it wasnt working)

  • How can I make a child window topmost?

    Hi, I have a parent form, with some child windows (not forms - just windows, for example label controls) inside it. Under certain circumstances, I want one of those child windows to be drawn "above" the others, to display a message over the entire main form. I've tried setting HWND_TOPMOST and HWND_TOP on the child windows, but it doesn't seem to have any effect at all. Am I doing something wrong, or do HWND_TOPMOST and HWND_TOP only work on forms, as opposed to controls within forms? Thanks.

    using visual studio 2008 Asp.net HTML Designer Howdy, Silly question but im using the HTML desinger in vs2008 to produce a ASP.net webform page, and i cant seem to find a way to select/group multiple controls with the mouse and move them all about the page in one group to keep them all aligned. I can select multiple controls with cntrl/click combo, and use the align options, but once they are selected i cannot move them aroound the webform as a group any advice appreciated

Since an inner Control is a Panel, I'd like to use it as container at design time. But it isn't... The result is that I can use it as container at design time but: The added controls go back the inner controls already embedded in the user control Even if I push to top a control added at design time, at runtime it is back again on controls embedded to the user control I cannot restrict the container area at design time into a Panel area What am I missing?     I have one class that controls one window, and another class that controls a different window in the same xib, however, the second window never displays what it should. In the first class I alloc and init the second class, then pass some information to it. In the second class it displays that data in the table view. Yes, in the .xib I have all the connections set up correctly, I've quadruple checked. Also the code is correct, same with the connections, I've quadruple checked.

  • Folders without Namespaces C#, .Net, VS 2008

    I'm working on an ASP.NET webapp using the MVP pattern, and as I'm organizing my files I'm wondering - are there conventions on folders within projects and how they relate to namespaces? I have a bunch of controls and a bunch of pages, and I was going to throw them into Controls and Pages folders with subfolders, but I didn't know if it was bad form to do this if I wasn't also going to seperate them out into namespaces.
