• QueryString From Shared Function

  I'm trying to get a query string from a shared function in a code-behind model using VB.NET. You have to use HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString("Query") in order to get it from a shared function, however doing HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString.Count gives back 0, which obviously isn't right in my case as there's many that exist. Is there some sort of issue with using this static call from a shared function?

  i have a repeater inside a dynamic control, i am trying to get the items of the repeater in a postback prior to databinding. this seems to work when i have a static repeater where the items are still intact, but when my repeater is inside a dynamic control and i try to get "repeater.Items", the count is always 0. is this normal behavior for repeaters when being placed inside a dynamic control?

  I've just begun to explore the PTL and have a design question. My Scenario: I have a list of URLs that each refer to an image. I want each image to be downloaded in parallel. As soon as at least one image is downloaded, I want to execute a method that does something with the downloaded image. That method should NOT be parallelized -- it should be serial. I think the following will work but I'm not sure if this is the right way to do it. Because I have separate classes for collecting the images and for doing "something" with the collected images, I end up passing around an array of Tasks which seems wrong since it exposes the inner workings of how images are retrieved. But I don't know a way around it. In reality there is more to both of these methods but that's not important for this. Just know that they really shouldn't be lumped into one large method that both retrieves and does something with the image. However, as for my purposes it's not adequate to load the contents lazily, I have the following question: How can I create an object hierarchy (of, say, the custom FileOrDirectory class with the standard children,count,isLeaf attributes) from the information I load from the enumeratorAtURL: method? (C# question) That is for example to achieve the following: create an ITopology interface create an extension method for this interface (e.g. public static int CountNodes(this ITopology topologyIf) ) then when creating a class (e.g. MyGraph) which implements ITopology, then it would automatically have the Count Nodes extension. This way the classes implementing the interface would not have to have a set class name to align with what was defined in the extension method.

What am i doing wrong that is not allowing the value i set in the field to be sent to the server?

  I'm using the following JQUERY to attach an even to a link in the header, which essentially scrolls to the bottom of the page: $('#comment-count-btn').click(function(){ $('html,body').scrollTo('#comment-wrapper', 500); }); Problem is, that it scrolls all the way to the bottom of the page (which is correct), but then when I try to scroll up a tad, the scroll bar jumps, as if it's locked for a little bit. • Calculate pixels within a polygon

  In an assignment for school do we need to do some image recognizing, where we have to find a path for a robot. So far have we been able to find all the polygons in the image, but now we need to generate a pixel map, that be used for an astar algorithm later. We have found a way to do this, show below, but the problem is that is very slow, as we go though each pixel and test if it is inside the polygon. So my question is, are there a way that we can generate this pixel map faster? • Trying to filter a ListView with runQueryOnBackgroundThread but nothing happens - what am I missing?

  I have a list of countries in a database. I have created a select country activity that consists of a edit box for filtering and a list which displays the flag and country name. When the activity starts the list shows the entire list of countries sorted alphabetically - works fine. When the customer starts typing into the search box I want the list to be filtered based on their typing. My database query was previously working in an AutoCompleteView (I just want to switch to a separate text box and list) so I know my full query and my constraint query are working. What I did was add a TextWatcher to the EditText view and every time the text is changed I invoke the list's SimpleCursorAdapter runQueryOnBackgroundThread with the edit boxes text as the constraint. The trouble is the list is never updated. I have set breakpoints in the debugger and the TextWatcher does make the call to runQueryOnBackgroundThread and my FilterQueryProvider is called with the expected constraint. The database query goes fine and the cursor is returned. • Question about ITextUndoHistory returned from TryGetHistory

  Everytime the IWpfTextView's TextBuffer changes I am trying to get the history's redostack and undostack and simply checking the count. When doing this I am encountering a "Method not supported exception" when trying to access the two stacks. I mean when adding new value we need to find a correct place to add a value (comparing it with another values) and internal implementation looks like a "Red-Black tree" with O (log N) insertion complexity.
