  • MacOSX Dock - number of open windows?

    There is one big issue for me with Doc in OSX - it does not shows you if more than one window opened in application For example - I were browsing with firefox and some site opens a background window with some sounds - and I have no idea where it comes from - Dock does not tell you if some application opens more than one window.. Is there a way (or some application) that can add some mark to application icon in Dock if it has more than one window open?

    Hello, I can connect to a remote machine using ssh, I would like to open a URL from the remote machine. Well, I can do this using lynx (a command line browser), but then, javascript etc... gets messed up. Is there a way I can open the URL and see it in my local machine firefox browser for example ??     HI, I follow your istruction and everythig works. I have an DHCP server than it assign "Ip client" without gateway. Internet with IE or Firefox Browser works but FTP service doesn't work. In squid.conf I have put a line: acl Safe_ports port 80 21 443 389 5307 8080 3144 8282 88 8443 20443 11438 1443 8050 30021 10443 4747 4774 1384 Have I to put gateway in DHCP Server?   • Lazarus Form Recovery for Safari?

    I use Lazarus a lot on Chrome and FireFox. Well, not a lot, but it's great for crashing when you're writing something online in a form that doesn't automatically save what you're writing. Plus, this should be default in every browser ANYway, and not built-in any web site (such as gmail). So, is there any such option for Safari? Does Saft do that? Just by looking at the home page, it seems to me like bloatware to Safari 4.

  • Internet Explorer - selected language is changing to English when opening a new window

    When opening a new window in IE8 or IE9 (doesn't matter if using a link or window.open), my selected keyboard language is changing to English (doesn't matter what was the previous selection, tried it with a few different languages). This doesn't happen for me in Chrome or Firefox (all the browsers are installed in their English version), and I tested it in Windows 7 and Windows 2008R2. Is there any way to avoid that? If there isn't - supposing the new window is within my website or application, is there a way to change it back?

  • Why would my 15" MacBook Pro suddenly ask me to Hard Quit while I was in a browser?

    I was in Firefox looking at a search I had performed in eBay and all of a sudden, the screen grayed out starting from the top down. In the middle of the screen was a box with about 5 different languages saying I had to hard quit my computer. I tried other keys on my computer and nothing was working so I hard quit and restarted. Most of these routers are securing their HTTPS certs with these, and as I think about it, I've never seen one of these internal admin websites with certs that wasn't self signed. Given a webserver on IP 192.168.1.1, how do you secure it to the point that Firefox doesn't offer warnings (and is still secured)?

  • Make Google Chrome's minimise, restore and close buttons look like other programs?

    I like the way Google Chrome puts the tabs above the address bar, but I don't like the way the minimise, restore, close buttons are a different shape to every other program's. It means that if I sit the mouse in the top corner and minimise everything, I find that I've restored Chrome, not minimised it. Is there any way to get these buttons to a normal shape and size? That's Firefox in front, looking normal, like every other program, and Chrome above and behind, with the buttons at an off-standard position and size.

    We've been trying to assign a static IP address to an HP LaserJet 4250 Printer. When we click on the networking tab it asks for a username and password, however it says the admin user is Unauthorized.   • Take a screenshot of an entire webpage in Opera

    Is there some tool within Opera, or possibly an add-on, which will let me take a screenshot of an entire web page? I usually use Screengrab to do this with Firefox, but in this situation I want a screenshot of the page as Opera renders it (because I want to show the page as rendered with HTML5 form controls like date and time). I am currently using Opera 10.60 x86_64 on Fedora 12, so solutions that work in browser would be preferable rather than external programs.

  • Slow and unresponssive network

    Ive have the Nokia N900 mobile phone (running Maemo linux), and my device is really slow while using the wifi and trying to get stuff online (checking mail, loading pages). The webbrowsers itself (MicroB, Firefox, Opera) starts fast. Yesterday ive tried to set the dns to googles but that did not solve the case. Is there, and how do i check/verify my connection to the internet if im connected to my home wifi in linux? (tools, other then ping :D)

  • Closing programs with middle-click in windows 7

    Is this possible? I want to close programs in the taskbar with middle-click, like tabs in firefox. The best approach I have so far is waiting for the mini-view that pops up when you point with the mouse in the taskbar and then middle-clicking there, but I would like to close them directly.
