    I'm reading the manual here: http://zendframework.com/manual/en/zend.view.helpers.html but I'm still confused. I have a script in my head that I'm converting to the layout/view for the Zend MVC: <script type="text/javascript"> var embedCode = '<object data="http://example.com" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="385" width="475"><param name="src" value="http://example.com" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /></object>' </script> I first tried to add it is an external file like this (in layout): $this->headScript()->appendFile('js/embeddedVideo.js')->appendScript($onloadScript); <head> <?php echo $this->headScript(); ?> </head> Didn't really work, but anyway, I'm wanting to just add the script and not add it as an external file.     could anyone help me restart my program from line 46 if the user enters 1 (just after the comment where it states that the next code is going to ask the user for 2 inputs) and if the user enters -1 end it. I cannot think how to do it.     Hello, I was looking at the pagination script (posted below) and found it to be gros,s and not very good at all especially when trying to customize it. I am trying to put something like this on a separate page like count_page.php and then just include it. I guess my question is, if there is a better way of doing the above with better structure. A better way to go through the db and count the results and display the appropriate numbers. The above seems messy. Thanks for any help or suggestions on this.

    I have a simple Ruby script that looks like this require 'csv' while line = STDIN.gets array = CSV.parse_line(line) puts array[2] end But when I try using this script in a Unix pipeline like this, I get 10 lines of output, followed by an error: ruby lib/myscript.rb < data.csv | head 12080450 12080451 12080517 12081046 12081048 12081050 12081051 12081052 12081054 lib/myscript.rb:4:in `write': Broken pipe - <STDOUT> (Errno::EPIPE) Is there a way to write the Ruby script in a way that prevents the broken pipe exception from being raised?

  • Is it better to echo javascript in raw format with php, or echo a script include that has been minif

    Hey guys quick question, I am currently echoing a lot of javascript that is based conditionally on login status and other variables. I was wondering if it would be better to simply echo the script include like <script type="text/javascript" src="javascript/openlogin.js"></script> that has been run through a minifying program and been gzipped or to echo the full script in raw format. The latter suggestion is messier to me but it reduces http requests while the latter would probably be smaller but take more cpu? Just wondering what some other people think. Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • How can you set a time limit for a PowerShell script to run for?

    I want to set a time limit on a PowerShell (v2) script so it forcibly exits after that time limit has expired. I see in PHP they have commands like set_time_limit and max_execution_time where you can limit how long the script and even a function can execute for. With my script, a do/while loop that is looking at the time isn't appropriate as I am calling an external code library that can just hang for a long time. I want to limit a block of code and only allow it to run for x seconds, after which I will terminate that code block and return a response to the user that the script timed out. I have looked at background jobs but they operate in a different thread so won't have kill rights over the parent thread. Has anyone dealt with this or have a solution? Thanks!

  • Why browser doesnt recognize jquery when <script src="...jquery.js> is on a html page served by Goo

    jquery.js source code is not being recognised by browser using my page.html served by Google App Engine as a http:some_request to the SDK, BUT when I load the exact same page.html into the browser directly from my local hard drive as jquery.js all works OK, it is recognized, so I know my path is OK.... I don't understand? In the header of my page.html I have the following: <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> I also tried without success in the header this: <script src="/static/jquery.js" type="text/javascript"></script> I am working along with the examples in the [Jquery tutorial][1]. I am sure there is something simple I dont understand about how .html pages served to the browser from app engine interact differently with the browser than what I normally would expect....but I frustratingly just cant get it.....everything else I have with my app engine app is working fine......would love some help so i can move forward....

  • PHP session values lost after redirect on one script but preserved after redirection on another.

    On my registration script i have: // Save registration information into the database // Set sessions $_SESSION['var1'] = 'somevalue'; $_SESSION['var2'] = 'anothervalue'; header('Location: /somewhere'); exit(); Then on my login script i have: // Check if user provided correct login credentials if (correct) { $_SESSION['var1'] = 'somevalue'; $_SESSION['var2'] = 'anothervalue'; } header('Location: /somewhere'); exit(); What happened is that the session variables were lost after the header redirect in the registration script but they were preserved after the redirect in the login script. I've checked session_id() at both pages and they have the same value, included session_start() at the top of every page and basically tried the solutions to this common problem found on Stackoverflow but somehow nothing seemed to work. I'm beginning to wonder if it is something to do with my server configuration instead of my code.

    On Linux with the GNU toolchain, I know how to control exported symbols from a shared library with a version script (gcc -Wl,--version-script=symbols.map), but I would like to list exported symbols on the command line instead. IOW, I would like the equivalent of link /EXPORT:foo from the MS toolchain. Is it possible ? EDIT: My question may not be very clearn: if I have a library libfoo.so, and I want to only export libraries foo1 and foo2, I can go create a version script foo.linux as follows libfoo.so { global: foo1; foo2; local: *; } And do gcc -shared foo.c -Wl,--version-script=foo.linux -o libfoo.so -soname libfoo.so I would like to be able to do something like this instead: gcc -shared foo.c -Wl,--export-symbol=foo1 -Wl,--export-symbol=foo2 -o libfoo.so -soname libfoo.so

  • meteor mongodb _id changing after insert (and UUID property as well)

    I have meteor method that does an insert. Im using Regulate.js for form validation. I set the game_id field to Meteor.uuid() to create a unique value that I also route to /game_show/:game_id using iron router. As you can see I'm logging the details of the game, this works fine.
