  Hi all, I am creating a news archive for my site and want to create an overview page from the following DB table id - Unique identifier newsDate - in a format XXXX-XX-XX title - News Item title details - News item photo - News Item Photo caption - News Item Photo caption update - Timestamp for record The news on the site is current but I hope to add some data from years gone by over the next few months and years. • Flex chart ItemRollOver behavior

  Hi Guys, I'm trying to prevent a default chart item roll over highlight in a Spark column chart. If you look at any of the chart examples on this page , when you roll over any of the chart series items, they turn a darkened shade of their original colour. This is what I want to prevent. So far I have had no luck with using the itemRollOverColor property, as this only allows you to set it to one specific colour for the whole chart (my app has several different coloured series on the chart at once). Also, trying to leverage the itemRollOver event (with preventDefault() etc) hasn't worked either. Does anyone have any idea what I am missing here? Thanks for reading guys

  Hi , I am using MonthCalender control in vb.net to select a date. I am able to save the selected date to DB and also retrieve and bold the previous selected date. But even though date is bolded it is not displayed when the form loads. It still highlights today's date. What Do i do to highlight the previous chosen dates. Also i want to disable choosing date range. I have my code below. • Portable Programming IDE

  Frequently I'm brainstormed with programming ideas that I would like to directly code. More or less like "Wow, that algorithm will rock! I need to write it now!". For this kind of "impulse" to write, I use http://www.jarte.com/ that is a cool portable text editor. If I'm near a cybecafe or a friend computer, I just plug the usb pen drive and start to write... So, I would like: 1) a portable minimalist IDE 2) with minimal OS requirement (ie.: I want run from XP, Vista, etc...) 3) any modern language (I can learn a new language if needed. I just want write/test the algoritm) 4) Syntax Highlight/intellisense is good, but not required 5) Free Is there something like this?

• administrator permission are recommended for running visual studio sp1 on windows 7 rc

  I get this annoying message everytime I try to run visual studio 2005(even using "Run as Administrator" gives same message). I have VS 2005 Professional with all the latest service packs installed including vs2005 SP1 and vs 2005 update for Vista. I am part of the administrators group on my machine. Still I have this problem. Some read on the web suggests that Running program in Compatibility mode solves the problem. Others also recommend turning off the message forever. Well my question is how do I turn off this warning which seems to bother me even if I am part of administrators group. Does Visual Studio does not run in administrator mode even when I am an administrator or even I use "Run as adminsitrator". Also it would be greate if someone out there can highlight what features of Visual Studio wont be available if Visual Studio is launched as a normal user (User is not an administrator/part of the administrator group) on Windows 7.

I changed it to one color.. But its showing some default color. There is no help in google about how to change tinymce scrollbar color. Please help me..thnaks in advance

• simple EJB jar deployed in jboss with its own log4j configuration

  Hi All I have a simple EJB jar with a stateless session bean, deployed in JBOSS AS 4.2.2, unde r/server/default/deploy. The bean is registered under JNDI tree as viewed from jboss jmx console and I am able to access it through a remote java client outside JBOSS. Inside EJB jar, I have added some logging to be written to a separate log file, using apache log4j jar and log4j.xml. But I am not able to view any of the logs. Also I do not wish to use jboss-log4j.xml, since there will be many other EJBs to be deployed and wish to have separate log4j for each EJB application. Here is my one of the EJB-jar contents: EJB_DS.jar: log4j.xml classes apache log4j jar is added to /server/default/lib path. • CF - MenuItem selection in MainMenu

  Hello. Again i wonder how can i highlight selected item in my MainMenu form. Every time i select an item only the first item is highlighted (always the same). But when a MenuItem is clicked its highlighted untill the Menu reloads. I found "checked" property on MenuItem that would generaly work, but the first item remains highlighted. There is no other properties on menuItem such as background color or selected... Can some one please direct me to the right solution? thanx

  Recently switched to Textmate on Mac for coding. On PC when ever I want to tab in or out a block of code I just highlight and press tab or shift+tab to move it in our out. It's very useful when you are adding an extra loop or conditional statement to a block of code to keep everything tidy and neatly indented. On Textmate however when I try this it just replaces my selected text with a tab. So is there a way to do tab and de-tab lines of code in textmate?

I have a table called FRUIT id type daysold 1 banana 5 2 apple 6 3 apple 4 4 peach 2 5 banana 6 What I would like is to have 3 checkboxes: Banana [ ] Apple [ ] Peach [ ] SUBMIT Then if I've only checked "Banana" and "Peach" the mysql output should only show me the rows that matches those two types. And the checkboxes should remain checked to highlight what was chosen. I can make the checkboxes but then that's about it really. I don't know how to properly get the info from the checkboxes and down to the WHERE argument in the MYSQL-code. Especially not with two types chosen. If it was just a dropdown menu with a single choice then I'd add the choice to the url and put WHERE type='$choice' - but I'm struggling with the multiple choices. I'm a bit of a novice at both php and mysql, so I'm a bit lost on this one.

  I'd like to be able to match this entire line (to highlight this sort of thing in vim): Fri Mar 18 14:10:23 ICT 2011. I'm trying to do it by finding a line that contains ICT 20 (first two digits of the year of the year), like this: syntax match myDate /^*ICT 20*$/, but I can't get it working. I'm very new to regex. Basically what I want to say: find a line that contains "ICT 20" and can have anything on either side of it, and match that whole line. Is there an easy way to do this?

  I am a Rails novice and I'm creating an application that I'd love some help on. The app is for social reading. It enables a user to highlight a passage from a text then have that passage saved and bolded into the view for later reading by anyone else. I have no problem creating an if statement on whether a certain string of text is in a passage but how do I add a class to that string and have a group of these passages absorbed back into the view. Any strategic advice would be greatly appreciated.

  Wait, wait, this is a programming question! I want to build an extension if none exists. Imagine this: you come across a webpage that says "Just send a message to [email protected]" but to actually send the email, you need to highlight the address and then cut and paste it into the recipient field of a new compose window of your email client of choice. Obviously life would be easier if it were simply a mailto: link, so you could click on it and have a new message created automatically. (Or if the page designer had used a form, perhaps ...) I was originally going to ask if there was an extension to enable similar functionality for unlinked twitter @username mentions but I thought this email address problem would be a simpler situation. If you think it would be useless, perhaps I should look at the twitter username problem instead. Thanks for your feedback.

• GVim highlighting with matchadd eventually slows down?

  I have the following in ~/.vim/ftplugin/python.vim to highlight long lines, accidental tabs and extra whitespace in Python files: hi CustomPythonErrors ctermbg=red ctermfg=white guibg=#592929 au BufWinEnter *.py call matchadd('CustomPythonErrors', '\%>80v.\+', -1) au BufWinEnter *.py call matchadd('CustomPythonErrors', '/^\t\+/', -1) au BufWinEnter *.py call matchadd('CustomPythonErrors', '\s\+$', -1) au BufWinLeave *.py call clearmatches() The BufWinLeave is so that the matches are cleared when I switch to another file in case that file isn't a .py file. It's an essential feature for me when working with something like Django. It all works fine for random amounts of time; from ten minutes to hours (my guess is it depends on how many files I open/close). But eventually when any line over 80 characters is displayed GVim slows to a halt and requires a restart. Does anyone have any ideas why this would eventually slow down?

  I have a Web application written in Java that is targeting several countries, all of which speak different languages (and more often than not, several languages -- that's Europe for you). We have a bunch of .properties files that hold the localized strings, and our current procedure is to e-mail the language-specific files to our partners for updating before doing major updates. However, this process is rather error-prone, as sometimes people forget to translate new strings and sometimes new strings don't get added to every language file, thus small mistakes get through very easily. Does anyone know of any existing software that could help us clear this mess? At a bare minimum, I'm thinking of something that would allow you to load a master file (for example, in English), a localized file and then would highlight the keys that were added to or removed from the master file.

  I am working on a project to convert OCR'd PDf to png using ImageMagick and ghostscript and display in the browser so that i can select words in the image by letting a user query for the word . Imagemagick works fine along with ghostscript . I have a problem with the ps2text utility where it does not work reliably with pdf's . could anybody suggest a good utility to convert postscript to text in Linux so that i can store it in a db . thereafter i use a custom written search class to find out the co-ordinates of each word and highlight the text in the browser .   I am doing data analysis and sometimes I need to check and to make sure each row in excel does not have any repeated value. I hope that there is a formula where each time if there's a repeated value in the same row, the value will be highlighted and it doesn't matter what value it is, as long as it's repeated in the same row. I try to search it everywhere but the closest I can find is below question & answer ( which couldn't apply to me as I need a formula that can highlight any value that's repeated and not only zero): I have rows which contain grades for students (numerical values), where the number 0 means they missed a class. I want the row to be highlighted in one color if they have "0" 3 or 4 times, and in another color if they have "0" 5 times or more. =COUNTIF(1:1,0)=5 Anyone can help me? Thanks in advance!

But the issue is that i am not able to highlight the control which is required. I have a js function which sets the error class to the div. Its working fine when i click on a button. • Emacs with CEDET changes copy/paste to include trailing spaces?

  I just started trying out CEDET today, which I really like, but it seems to do something completely worthless with respect to copying/pasting. If I highlight some stuff and copy it, when it gets pasted back the newlines are eliminated and there is just a ton of trailing whitespace on each line. This is really worthless. All I have in my .emacs right now for CEDET is the following: (load-file "~/.emacs.d/cedet-1.0pre7/common/cedet.el") (require 'semantic-ia) (require 'semantic-gcc) (semantic-load-enable-code-helpers) Does anybody know how to turn this off? I can't find anything about this except that the CEDET main page says it has "magic copy & paste".

  I try to draw a class diagram using Vim. I fill the editor window with white-spaces. Type :match SpellBad /\s/ to highlight all the white-spaces. Ctrl+Q to select vertical white-spaces.
