• dll runtime error(C/C++/GCC/MSVC)

  After two days fighting, I make the dll(compiled in GCC/G++) link correctly in MSVC, but while debuging, I got the runtime error, is say that: Runtime Error! Program: my_exe.exe This application has required the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. I have test something in that way: compiled a dll in mingw/gcc, link and debug in MSVC, it works correctly ,but while I implement it in my large project, I got the runtime error. And I tested the dll in mingw/GCC, it works correctly, it says that the runtime error does not come from programming error,it comes from the dll imcompatible between different platform. Does anyone can hele me? Thanks, forgive my poor English.

  I have a div fading in using fadeTo. It works great in Firefox and IE9. It does not work in IE8. • jquery mouseleave issue when moving too slow

  Hello. I am using the jQuery mouseenter and mouseleave events to slide a div down and up. Everything works well except for the mouseleave which doesn't appear to fire ONLY if the mouse of moved off of the div quite slowly. If i move the mouse at a relatively normal or fast speed then it works as expected. Can anyone explain this or provide any info on how to get around this? • jQuery focus on content of input / textarea - not working properly in IE8

  I want the input fields on my site to select all the text when the user first clicks on them, but in IE8 the text is selected for a split second then reverts back to normal. Works fine in FF. • What is the best way to automated (integration) test with java with OpenId4Java against real OpenIdP

  I would like to do a bit more than manually test my openid glue code which happens to use the openid4java library. My goals would be to be able to run it within my IDE with a bunch of tests using Junit or similar. Selenium & tomcat I was thinking of using selenium and a tomcat but thats not exactly a nice approach as this is a bit heavy and not really lightweight. httpunit A solution with http-unit is incomplete because it doesnt really fit with the redirect to my openid provider, authenticate and redirect back. Perhaps i am wrong but this looks like it could get quite involved just to make sure this works. Mocks My last solution is to mock everything and assume thats its accurate and works. If google or yahoo ever change in some way, then ill have to verify manually. The approach is simple but with a major flaw.

  I am trying to convert the value of the generic type parameter T value into integer after making sure that T is in fact integer: public class Test { void DoSomething<T>(T value) { var type = typeof(T); if (type == typeof(int)) { int x = (int)value; // Error 167 Cannot convert type 'T' to 'int' int y = (int)(object)value; // works though boxing and unboxing } } } Although it works through boxing and unboxing, this is an additional performance overhead and i was wandering if there's a way to do it directly. • IE - hidden radio button not checked when the corresponding label is clicked

  I just noticed a strange behaviour in IE7. I have radio buttons with associated labels as follows: <input type="radio" name="filter" id="filter_1" value="Activities" checked="checked" /> <label for="filter_1">Activities</label> <input type="radio" name="filter" id="filter_2" value="Services" /> <label for="filter_2">Services</label> The radio button is hidden via css with display:none or visibility: hidden (don't ask) The problem is - when I click the label in IE7 (haven't looked at other IE versions yet) the associated radio button is not actually checked. I confirmed this with jquery - the label click event is fired, but the radio button click event is not. A form post also confirms that the checked radio button does not change. This works correctly in firefox, and also works correctly if I remove the CSS that hides the radio buttons. Is this an IE bug or am I missing something?

I need to retreive the class structure and the static values without instanciate it. public MyClass() { public static string field = "Value"; public nestedClass() { public static string nestedField = "NestedValue"; } } I've successfuly used GetFields and GetNestedType to recover the class structure and GetValue(null) works fine on field, but not on nestedField. Let me sample: var fi = typeof(MyClass).GetField("field", BindingFlags.Public | BindingFlags.Static); var nt = typeof(MyClass).GetNestedType("nestedClass", BindingFlags.Public); var nfi = nt.GetField("nestedField", BindingFlags.Public | BindingFlags.Static); // All the above references are detected correctly var value = fi.GetValue(null); // until here everything works fine. value == "Value" var nestedValue = nfi.GetValue(null); // this one does not work!!   I have COM DLL that compiled in x32(the server side). I registered it and tried to use the function CoGetClassObject with client that works in x32 for getting the IClassFactory. Hr = CoGetClassObject(CLSID_IOrbCom, CLSCTX_INPROC_SERVER, 0 , IDD_IClassFactory, (LPVOID*)&ClassFactory) the result with client x32 was fine and everything works well. But when I tried to use the CoGetClassObject in x64 client I received failed error "Class not registered". P.S. Restriction: - I can only compiled the COM server with x32. - My OS is XP 64bit.

  I am looking for a tool, which helps me to organize my personal bookmarks. I want to be able to assign tags and free comments to a bookmark. I want to search my bookmarks by tags date of bookmarking pattern in title pattern in url It would be nice to be web based to enable sharing my bookmarks between different machines. But for it would be OK, if it works on a single machine as long as it has some import/export way to transfer the links to a new machine replacing the old. As browsers I'm using Firefox and ChromePlus. It would be nice, if the solution works with both browsers. With free comments, I mean additional remarks stored for a bookmark, which is not essential for searching.

• Problem loading js content with ajax

  I have a page that loads content into a single div via a script in the page. It works fine but the problem is that I have a lightbox in one of the dynamically loaded pages that only works the first time you navigate to it (the script I got for the page loading is found here). Once you navigate to another area, then back again, the lightbox fails to work and instead just loads the plain image. It's been suggested that the easiest way to fix this would be to have a script unload the js and css that is loaded in with the page, then reload it when you go back to the gallery section. I'm a designer, not a developer though, so I don't know if this is true or not. Any help is really appreciated. The page can be found here: justgooddesign.net/graduation/

  I have a Book model in my Rails application, with various properties (aka columns in the book db table). One of these properties is "ranking". Recently, may app has started to throw NoMethodError: undefined method 'include?' for nil:NilClass for the following code: def some_method(book, another_arg) return book.ranking unless book.ranking.blank? ... end However, it's not consistent. The vast majority of the time, accessing book.ranking works -- the error is thrown maybe 2-4% of the time. If I change the code to book[:ranking] or book['ranking'] instead of book.ranking, it works 100% of the time. Any ideas?

  I have a has_many association between two models using a date as both the foreign and primary key for each model. It works perfectly one way but not the other. Works has_one :quiz_log, :primary_key => :start_at, :foreign_key => :start_at Doesn't work has_many :event_logs, :primary_key => :start_at, :foreign_key => :start_at The reason being (i think) because the start_at on QuizLog is a date and the start_at on EventLog is a datetime. So it returns nil trying to match the exact datetime on a simple date. How can I cast the foreign_key start_at on the second statement to convert it first from datetime to simply date so it will match the second model?

  I have an ASP.NET app that logs Audit reports using nHibernate's IPreUpdateListener. In order to set the current user in the Listener events, I was using System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent(). This works fine when debugging on my machine, but when I move it to the staging server, I'm getting the ASP.NET process credentials, not the requesting user. In the ASP.NET page, I can use Request.LogonUserIdentity (which works fine since I'm using integrated authentication), but how do I reference this user directly without having to pass it directly to my event? I don't want to have to pass this info through the pipeline because it really doesn't belong in the intermediate events/calls.

• Why does casting to double using "String * 1" fail? Will CDbl(String) work on all systems?

  I have an application which contains the line below to assign a parsed XML value to a variant array. V(2) = latNode.Text * 1 This works fine on my system (Windows 7, Excel 2010) but doesn't work on some other system or systems - and I've not been able to get a response from the user who reported the problem. I've switched out the offending line for: V(2) = CDbl(latNode.Text) This still works on my system, but then I had no problem in the first place. The question is on what systems does the first approach fail and why, and will the second method always work? I'm sure I've used the "Stying * 1" trick elsewhere before and would like to know how concerned I should be about tracking down other occurrences. Thanks.

  I'm trying to implement an input method service that receives intents sent by a remote client, and in response to those sends an appropriate KeyEvent. I'm using in the input method service this method private void keyDownUp(int keyEventCode) { getCurrentInputConnection().sendKeyEvent( new KeyEvent(KeyEvent.ACTION_DOWN, keyEventCode)); getCurrentInputConnection().sendKeyEvent( new KeyEvent(KeyEvent.ACTION_UP, keyEventCode)); } to send KeyEvents as in the Simple Sofykeyboard Sample, and it works in the home, in Activities... but it doesn't works when a Dialog or the menu of a Spinner is in foreground. The events is sent to the parent activity behind the Dialog. Is there any way to send keys and control the device like using the hardware keys from an input method?
