    Here you can find my updated ACS2 sample. In addition to the existing front ends (web [WS-Federation], console [SOAP & REST], Silverlight [REST]) and error handling, it now also includes a WPF client that shows the passive/active transition with a SOAP service as illustrated here. All the ACS interaction is encapsulated in a WPF user control that: retrieves the JSON feed displays a list of supported identity providers triggers the sign in via a browser control retrieves the token response packages the token as a GenericXmlSecurityToken (to be used directly with the WIF ChannelFactory extensions methods) All you need to supply is the ACS namespace and the realm.   • Copying & Pasting Rows Between Grids in SQL Developer

    Apologies for slacking on the blogging front here lately. Still mentally hung over from Open World, and lots of things going on behind the scenes here in Oracle-land. Whilst (love that word) blogging is part of my job, it’s not the ONLY part of my job So a super-quick and dirty ‘trick’ this morning. Copying Query Result Record as New Row in Table Copy and paste is something everyone ‘gets.’ I don’t know we have to thank for that, whether it’s Microsoft or Xerox, but it’s been ingrained in our way of dealing with all things computers. Almost to the detriment of some of our users – they’ll use Copy and Paste when perhaps our Export feature is superior, but I digress. Where it does work just fine is when you want to create a new row in your table that matches a row you have retrieved from an executed query. Just click in the gutter or row number to get the entire row selected Once you have your data selected, do your thing, i.e. ctrl+C or Command/Apple+C or whatever. Now open your view or table editor, go to the data page, and ask for a new row. New record, no data Paste in the data from the clipboard. It’s smart enough to paste the separate values out to the separate columns. The clipboard saves the day, again. If your columns orders are different, just change the order in the grids. If you have extra information, don’t copy the entire row. I know, I know – Jeff this is too simple, why are you wasting our time here? It seems intuitive, but how many of you actually tried this before reading it just now? I seem to get more positive feedback from the very basic user interface 101 tips than the esoteric click-click-click-ctrl-shift-click tricks I prefer to post.     I"m running OS X 10.6.8 and I would like to use gparted to resize a partition on my SD card by following instructions on this page: http://mitchtech.net/easy-gui-install-re-partition-raspberry-pi-on-ubuntu/ However, it appears like gparted is suitable only for linux environment. I was wondering what alternatives do I have on os x to achieve increasing the size of the partition on my SD card? Would appreciate all / any advice.

  • Aligning text to the bottom of a div: am I confused about CSS or about blueprint? [closed]

    I've used Blueprint to prototype a very simple page layout...but after reading up on absolute vs. relative positioning and a number of online tutorials regarding vertical positioning, I'm not able to get things working the way I think they should. Here's my html: <div class="container" id="header> <div class="span-4" id="logo"> <img src="logo.png" width="150" height="194" /> </div> <div class="span-20 last" id="title"> <h1 class="big">TITLE</h1> </div> </div> The document does include the blueprint screen.css file. I want TITLE aligned with the bottom of the logo, which in practical terms means the bottom of #header. This was my first try: #header { position: relative; } #title { font-size: 36pt; position: absolute; bottom: 0; } Not unexpectedly, in retrospect, this puts TITLE flush left with the left edge of #header...but it failed to affect the vertical positioning of the title. So I got exactly the opposite of what I was looking for. So I tried this: #title { position: relative; } #title h1 { font-size: 36pt; position: absolute; bottom: 0; } My theory was that this would allign the h1 element with the bottom of the containing div element...but instead it made TITLE disappear, completely. I guess this means that it's rendering off the visible screen somewhere. At this point I'm baffled. I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

    On my work PC, Firefox stores a 10 MB file called places.sqlite in my roaming profile: C:\Users\MY_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\PROFILE_ID\places.sqlite I don't use any location-related features in Firefox, and this file causes my roaming profile to be larger than my company allows (25 MB), meaning I get warnings about my profile size every day. Can I stop Firefox storing this file in my roaming profile?
