• How do I add the go language to gitg's list of viewable sources?

  Hoping a 'git' guru will help out here. I am just beginning to "git" for the first time and have (among other things :-) ) git and gitg installed from Ubuntu 10.4 / AMD64 distribution (ie. maybe not 'latest' version but not ancient). I am trying to look at the go code I've committed via gitg and in the "tree tab" it says :Cannot display file content as text. However, the "details tab" shows the diffs of the same file just fine. I know gitg's "tree tab" is working because I can use the tree view on *.c / *.html / *.txt etc just fine. Is there a way to tweak gitg into understanding that "*.go" is just text? A little more context: Installed gitg version is 0.0.5 - ie a version behind latest - 0.0.6 - source of which I am looking thru now. I do have a working /usr/share/gtksourceview-2.0/language-specs/ go.lang. It works just fine as highlighter in gedit. It appears that gitg may require displayable files to have a mime type of "text/plain", so I added that to go.lang No joy. gitg still fails on *.go I'm relatively sure the fix is simple, just don't know where to look.

In PHP I often see code like this html <?php language construct that uses brackets { some code; ?> more html <?php some more code; } ?> rest of html Is there any name for this? • Parse files in directory/insert in database

  Hey there, Here is my dillema... I have a directory full of .txt comma delimited files arranged as shown below. What I want to do is to import each of these into a SQL or SQLite database, appending each one below the last. (1 table)... I am open to C# or VB scripting and just not sure how to accomplish this. I want to only extract and import the data starting BELOW the 'Feat. Type,Feat. Name, etc' line. These are stored in a \mynetwork\directory\stats folder on my network drive. Ideally I will be able to add functionality that will make the software/script know not to re-add the file to the database once it has already done so as well. • JSON onFailure issue

  I’m having trouble getting a AJAX/JSON function to work correctly. I had this function grabbing value from a drop down box but now I want to use an anchor tag to set it's value. I thought it would be easy to just use the onClick event to pass string to the function I was using for the drop down box but I get the alert in JSON onFailure event even though data gets added to MySQL. I tried removing the alert from onFailure event but then it doesn't add the data. The drop down still continues work work fine, no alerts. • Unable to write to a text file

  Hello, I am running some tests and need to write to a file. When I run the test's the open = (file, 'r+') does not write to the file. I havw also tried mylogfile.write(result). If the file does not exist is claim's the file does not exist and doesn't create one. Could this be a permission problem where python is not allowed to create a file? I have made sure that all other read's to this file are closed so I the file should not be locked. Can anyone offer any suggestion why this is happening? Thanks

• Reading lines of data from text files using java

  I have a text file with x amount of lines. each line holds a integer number. When the user clicks a button, an action is performed via actionlistener where it should list all the values as displayed on the text file. However, right now I have linenum set to 10 implying I already told the code that just work with 10 lines of the text file. So, if my text file has only 3 rows/lines of data...it will list those lines and for rest of the other 7 lines, it will spit out "null". I recall there is a way to use ellipsis to let the program know that you don't know the exact value but at the end it calculates it based on the given information. Where my given information will the number of lines with numbers(data). • Why is my Perl script that calls FTP all of a sudden failing?

  I have a script that has been running for over a year and now it is failing: It is creating a command file: open ( FTPFILE, ">get_list"); print FTPFILE "dir *.txt"\n"; print FTPFILE "quit\n"; close FTPFILE; Then I run the system command: $command = "ftp ".$Server." < get_list | grep \"\^-\" >new_list"; $code = system($command); The logic the checks: if ($code == 0) { do stuff } else { log error } It is logging an error. When I print the $code variable, I am getting 256. I used this command to parse the $? variable: $exit_value = $? >> 8; $signal_num = $? & 127; $dumped_core = $? & 128; print "Exit: $exit_value Sig: $signal_num Core: $dumped_core\n"; Results: Exit: 1 Sig: 0 Core: 0 Thanks for any help/insight.

• JavaCard monitoring folder

  I want to write a two way application: applet for javacard and an application in C#. I've got the C# covered but i want to know if with JavaCard i can monitor a folder on the memory and how would i go about doing that. I have a shared folder let's call it temp in which i want to store buffer information between the simulated smartcard and the C# application. The C# application will only read from that folder and display the information, but also it will write requests towards the smartcard. For example i simulate entering the PIN for the card. The applet will write a file containing available options and the C# application will read that file and display those options; from the C# app i will chose and option and write a request file in the same folder. This is when the smartcard which is monitoring that folder will read the request and issue a response. Can i make the smartcard monitor that folder? I was thinking of using encrypted XML files for the request/response operations. But simple .txt files are good to. I am limited to using JavaCard v2.2.1, and every operation has to be encrypted/decrypted. (with the ciphering i have no problem)

• How to get number of bytes read from QTextStream

With some files it gives the correct file size, but with some files it gives me a value that is approximatively fileCSV.size()/2.   I am attempting to make an AJAX call to a very small PHP script that should return me an array that could be echo'd and decoded using JQuery. But then I send to to JQuery and use: $.each(json.result, function(i, object) { $.each(object, function(property, value) { alert(property + "=" + value); }); }); This just fails. • Serving .docx files through Php

  Hi, I'm having issues when attempting to serve a .docx file using Php. When uploading the file I detect the file mime type and upload the file using the file with the correct extension based on the mime type; e.g. below: application/msword - doc application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document - docx When attempting to serve the files for download, I do the reverse in detecting the extension and serving based on the mime type e.g. public static function fileMimeType($extention) { if(!is_null($extention)) { switch($extention) { case 'txt': return 'text/plain'; break; case 'odt': return 'application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text'; break; case 'doc': return 'application/msword'; break; case 'docx': return 'application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document'; break; case ('jpg' || 'jpeg'): return 'image/jpeg'; break; case 'png': return 'image/png'; break; case 'pdf': return 'application/pdf'; break; default: break; } } } All files appear to download correctly and open fine but when attempting to open a docx file, Word (on multiple files) throws a error stating the file is corrupt. • Downloading From Google Docs

  Hello, I am using the gdata-java-client Version 2 with for and Android app that allows users to download documents from their Google Docs account. Currently I am able to authenticate, request and display a list of all the user's documents. From here I would like to open each type of document in a specific Activity. If it's a spreadsheet or a csv file, open it in one activity and if it is a text document open it in another activity. This is where things are getting hazy. First I need to determine what type of document the user selected in order download the file in the appropriate format by appending exporFormat=(csv,xls,doc,txt) to the query string. I don't see any indication in the original list of documents as to what kind of file the each entry is. Secondly as a test I can just append a raw string to the end of the query string. As an example, a query might look like this: https://spreadsheets.google.com/feeds/download/spreadsheets/Export?key=0AsE_6_YIr797dHBTUWlHMUFXeTV4ZzJlUGxWRnJXanc&exportFormat=xls Notice that at the end of the string is the hardcoded export format. This query returns a HTTPResponse with a 200 OK message. However if I look at the response.content or use response.parseAsString I see what appears to be a Google Docs home page has html text. I don't get this result when I try to download a text document. When I request a text document the response.content is the body of the text file. If I copy and paste this uri into a browser I get the requested file as a download. To summarize, this question is two-fold: 1. How do I determine the type( plain text, .doc, .csv, .xls ) of a document from the initial list of user documents. 2. How do I download the actual .csv or spreadsheet files? Thanks in advance.

• Getting dialogue snippets from text using regular expressions

  I'm trying to extract snippets of dialogue from a book text. For example, if I have the string "What's the matter with the flag?" inquired Captain MacWhirr. "Seems all right to me." Then I want to extract "What's the matter with the flag?" and "Seem's all right to me.". I found a regular expression to use here, which is "[^"\\]*(\\.[^"\\]*)*". This works great in Eclipse when I'm doing a Ctrl+F find regex on my book .txt file, but when I run the following code: String regex = "\"[^\"\\\\]*(\\\\.[^\"\\\\]*)*\""; String bookText = "\"What's the matter with the flag?\" inquired Captain MacWhirr. \"Seems all right to me.\""; Pattern p = Pattern.compile(regex); Matcher m = p.matcher(bookText); if(m.find()) System.out.println(m.group(1)); The only thing that prints is null. So am I not converting the regex into a Java string properly? Do I need to take into account the fact that Java Strings have a \" for the double quotes?

  Hi! I'm havin issues with python (imo python itself is an issue). I have a txt file, it contains a custom language and I have to translate it to a working python code. The out file is out.py. In case of a wrong parameter, it gives an error message. The ;; means a new line. When I tried to do it, I made an array, I read all the lines into it, split by " ". Then I wanted to strip it from the marks I don't need. I made 2 loops, one for the lines, one for the words. So then I started to replace the things. Everything went fine until it came to the } mark. It finds it, but it can not replace or strip it. I have no more idea what to do. Could someone help me, please? Thanks in advance!

  In my project, I am trying to open a text file. Well the below code works but when the user click the button again and again, many files are being opened. • Is this the best way to make an API request using PHP CURL?

  Hello all, I have a site that has a simple API which can be used via http. I wish to make use of the API and submit data about 1000-1500 times at one time. Here is their API: http://api.jum.name/ I have constructed the URL to make a submission but now I am wondering what is the best way to make these 1000-1500 API GET requests? Here is the PHP CURL implementation I was thinking of: $add = 'http://www.mysite.com/3rdparty/API/api.php?fn=post&username=test&password=tester&url=http://google.com&category=21&title=story a&content=content text&tags=Season,news'; curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_URL, "$add"); curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 0); curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_COOKIEFILE, 'files/cookie.txt'); curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, 0); curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, TRUE); $postdata = curl_exec ($ch); Shall I close the CURL connection every time I make a submission? • I could not understand where the memory is leaking in my code ?

• only default controller is loading for all request - Critical

  Hi, My codeigniter project is in live. I have two copies of it. One in the root and another in a subfolder. Both are configered to work normal. The root copy if the one which was made after testing in a subfolder. While running from the a subfolder all worked well. But when copied to the root folder the default controller is loading for all requests. But were as in subfolders and in other servers it is working well. It is like the following A true copy in root folder like sitename.com and another true copy in a subfolder like sitename.com/abc when requesting like this sitename.com/gallery the default controller is loaded instead of gallery controller. • Is this method of static file serving safe in node.js? (potential security hole?)

  I want to create the simplest node.js server to serve static files. Here's what I came up with: fs = require('fs'); server = require('http').createServer(function(req, res) { res.end(fs.readFileSync(__dirname + '/public/' + req.url)); }); server.listen(8080); Clearly this would map http://localhost:8080/index.html to project_dir/public/index.html, and similarly so for all other files. My one concern is that someone could abuse this to access files outside of project_dir/public. Something like this, for example: http://localhost:8080/../../sensitive_file.txt I tried this a little bit, and it wasn't working. But, it seems like my browser was removing the ".." itself. Which leads me to believe that someone could abuse my poor little node.js server. I know there are npm packages that do static file serving. But I'm actually curious to write my own here. So my questions are: Is this safe? If so, why? If not, why not? And, if further, if not, what is the "right" way to do this? My one constraint is I don't want to have to have an if clause for each possible file, I want the server to serve whatever files I throw in a directory.

Multiple values within columns are comma separated.
