  • Watir not working in Windows 7

    I recently did a fresh install of Windows 7. I installed Ruby 1.8.6 and Watir via RubyGems. When I try to run a Watir script, IE opens and the first page is called, but the problem seems to be that the script doesn't wait for the page to finish loading (which it's always done in the past). Subsequent lines in the script try to access page elements that haven't loaded yet. Is anyone else having this problem?

    This question relates both to C# and Java If you have a collection which is not modified and that collection reference is shared between two threads what happens when you iterate on each thread?? ThreadA: Collection.iterator ThreadA: Collection.moveNext ThreadB: Collection.iterator ThreadB: Collection.moveNext Will threadB see the first element? Is the iterator always reset when it is requested? What happens if this is interleaved so movenext and item is interleaved? Is there a danger that you dont process all elements??

    I have an div Element with the ID mypointer, wich has an absolute position. I animate this div on a page with jquery. The goal is a presentation where the elements show the same reaktion on the div element like the mousepointer. So I want to simulate mouseover, click and rightclick events. Is that possible?   • Killing Mysql prcoesses staying in sleep command.

    Hey I am connecting a MYSQL database through hibernate and i seem to have processes that are not being killed after they are finished in the session. I have called flush and close on each session but when i check the server the last processes are still there with a sleep command. This is a new problem which i am having and was not the case yesterday. Is there any way i can ensure the killng of theses processes when i am done with a session. What I am looking for is a nice solution for blacklisting certain elements to be filtered out of the data when it is displayed.     I have a line of text in a textblock that reads: "Detected [gesture] with an accuracy of [accuracy]" In WPF, is it possible for me to be able to change the color of the elements within a textblock? Can I have a textblock be multiple colors? For example, I would like the whole TextBlock to be black except the gesture name, which I would like to be red. Is this possible in WPF?

  • jQuery - resizable + draggable, the scrolling(left,top) is not added

    I have a problem with a dragging and resizable box. It works fine, drags and rezises fine, but i have a container that holds these elements and as soon as I trigger an overflow and attempt to rezise the div it fails and resets backs to container width. http://jsfiddle.net/JTTYM/26/ It seams as the this.scrollLeft and this.scrollTop are not included on drag. Can someone please help me with this? Thank you in advance.

I'd like to be able to pass in a collection of models or view-models (e.g., IQueryable<MyViewModel>) and get back an HTML table that uses the DisplayName attribute for the headings (th elements) and Html.Display(propertyName) for the cells (td elements). Each row should correspond to one item in the collection. A property Html is automatically created for me when the view is created, but this HtmlHelper applies to the whole collection. I need to somehow create an itemHtml object that applies just to the current item in the foreach loop. I'm not sure how to do this, however, because the constructors for HtmlHelper don't take a Model object. How do I solve these two problems?

    Hello, I use the bellow code to load the main menu elements from some CMS, the present code is perfect except that it loads ALL the main items on a single line of menu - which will make the width of it unusable in any centered design (under 1000px).. I want to change this script so after 15 main elements will add a "MORE" button under which the rest of the main menu items will show as sub-items of this "MORE" button (they will not have their own sub-items as the first 15 do).. One of the most head-scratching elements of the languages design is it's implementation of inheritance. Having experience in Ruby, I was really happy to see closures and dynamic typing; but for the life of me can't figure out what benefits are to be had from object instances using other instances for inheritance.
