    I'm building an iPad app, and would like to use a "tiled" display with objects arranged in a grid, similar to the iPhone/iPad home screen and the iPad photos app. More examples of this interface: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/flipside-hd/id364916273?mt=8 http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/evernote/id281796108?mt=8 Is there any pre-built way in the SDK to do this?     On iPhone, iPod touch and (presumably) iPad, Apple has multi-touch event handling available via JavaScript in Mobile Safari. I know the Nexus One recently added multi-touch support via an update, and I believe webOS is also multi-touch enabled. Do Android 2.1 and/or webOS have access to multi-touch in the browser, or is this currently exclusive to Apple devices?

  • Why did Dylan loose to Objective-C

    I have played/worked with many different programming languages and Dylan is still one of my favorites. My question is why did Dylan fail when Objective-C, Ruby and even Scheme have had more success? Was Dylans performance that much worse than Objective-C that Apple went with it or was purely for social/political reasons.     I have read about NSPasteBoard in the Apple documentation, and how it allows for applications to write into the PasteBoard and allow other applications to read that text and use it. Could someone tell me how to paste text from am application (that sits in the status bar) into a NSTextField that is inside a different application.     I'm trying to parse the output from a tool into a data structure but I'm having some difficulty getting things right. The file looks like this: Fruits Apple Auxiliary Core Extras Banana Something Coconut Vegetables Eggplant Rutabaga You can see that top-level items are indented by one space, and items beneath that are indented by two spaces for each level. The items are also in alphabetical order. How do I turn the file into a Python list that's something like ["Fruits", "Fruits/Apple", "Fruits/Banana", ..., "Vegetables", "Vegetables/Eggplant", "Vegetables/Rutabaga"]?

Code-wise, should be something like this: if(mail(argument...)){ header("Location: www.google.com"); } I think I would get a: "Error: header information already sent" or something like. But what if I want to send email and then auto-redirect on that page?? Possible?
