  • How can I hide the taxonomy field for authenticated users but show it for other users in Drupal 6?

    I have a Drupal (v6.17) Content Type which includes a Taxonomy field. I want to hide this from ordinary Authenticated Users, but want it available to my Site Contributor role users, so they can review and then assign tags to user-created nodes. I've tried overriding the Node Add/Edit form in Panels 3 by creating a panel variant especially for Authenticated Users, which would exclude the Taxonomy field. However, the Taxonomy field is bundled in with the "General Form" controls - without showing this, I don't get the Title and Body fields. Is there a way I can either include the Title and Body fields without Taxonomy, OR hide just the Taxonomy field when the authenticated user role creates a node. I realise there's a CCK field which might be able to help me out here, but how do I tie that to the Taxonomy module? Any help gratefully received.

  • Using wget to download pdf files from a site that requires cookies to be set

    I want to access a newspaper site and then download their epaper copies (in PDF). The site requires me to login using my email address and password and then it permits me to access those PDF URLs. I'm having trouble 'setting my session' in wget. When I login into the site from my browser, it sets two cookie values: [email protected] Password=12345 I tried: wget --post-data "[email protected]&Password=12345" http://epaper.abc.com/login.aspx However, that just downloaded the login page and saved it locally The FORM on the login page has two fields: txtUserID txtPassword and radiobuttons like this: <input id="rbtnManchester" type="radio" checked="checked" name="txtpub" value="44"> Another button: <input id="rbtnLondon" type="radio" name="txtpub" value="64"> If I post this to the login.aspx page, I get the same output wget --post-data "[email protected]&txtPassword=12345&txtpub=44" http://epaper.abc.com/login.aspx If I do: --save-cookies abc_cookies.txt it doesnt seem to have anything other than the default content.   • Why does a non-dynamically created iframe shim show, but a dynamically created one does not?

    I have a custom control that is made up of a text field and the ajax control toolkit dateextender. In IE6 I'm hitting the z-index bug where the calendar is showing behind select boxes. If I have the shim sitting in the control, initially hidden, it seems to display fine when the calendar is shown, but when I try to dynamically create the shim on showing it doesn't appear. I've tried bgiframe and some examples I found on SO, no luck.     Whenever Resharper encounters code like this: (treeListNode.Tag as GridLine).AdvertiserSeparation = 5; it presents you with a possible fix (since treeListNode.Tag as GridLine might be null). It says: 'Replace with Direct Cast', which turns the code into the following: ((GridLine) treeListNode.Tag).AdvertiserSeparation = 5; This is great. However, when it encounters code like this: GridLine line = treeListNode.Tag as GridLine; line.AdvertiserSeparation = 5; Resharper simply displays a warning 'Possible System.NullReferenceException', but does not offer me to 'Replace with Direct Cast'. Is there a way to make Resharper offer me this refactoring, since it already has it?

  • Kickstart installation: Unable to read package metadata.

    I'm trying to install a CentOS OS with kickstart using HTTP as the installation source. The kickstart server and the installed server are both running on VMs on the same machine. after the anaconda system installer starts it fails with the following message: I tried installing two different versions of Centos(5.5 and 5.2), and they both pass a CDROM media test the manual installation provides.     I have a VMWare image supplied by my Phone System provider which manages a contact management interface, they tell me that VMWare EsXi5.0 is the highest supported host. I'm used to MS HyperV and have no VMWare experiance. At present I have this guest running on a simple desktop PC running ESXi5.0.0, I'd idealy like to run this guest (it's Windows 7 with their software already installed and configured) on a Windows 2008R2 server I have available, as I said, I'm used to HyperV and I can't easily identify if there is a version of VMWare that supports ESXi5.0 guests that will run on a Windows 2008 R2 server host. Is there such a product, what's it called, and with one guest can I run it without purchasing a license? Thanks

  • Want to show <embed> and <object> tags from YUI editor as a text rather then a video.

    I am using YUI rich text editor on my website (php/mysql), so that a user may enter textual matter/articles through it. But if a user copies and paste some embed code in the textarea, from any video sites like youtube, it should get saved as a text block and not as a playing video when showing the text content on the browser. Now YUI automatically converts the characters into html entities which ever is needed. Please note that if I put a new line in the yui editor (by pressing "Enter" key), it will be converted into a "<br>" tag in the background and this will not get html entity encoded when passing the value to my backend PHP script. But If I copy and paste any embed tag or for that reason any valid html tags in the textarea, it will be html entity encoded by YUI. Now to support UTF-8 characters, I am using a function (DBVarConv) in my php script before saving it into my database. The code for the function is given below function DBVarConv($var,$isEncoded = false) { if($isEncoded) return addslashes(htmlentities($var, ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8', false)); else return htmlentities ($var, ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8', false); } $myeditorData = DBVarConv($myeditorData, true); // Save $myeditorData in database. While showing the data in the browser, I am using another function called "smart_html_entity_decode". Try using the text editor at tumblr.com. If you paste an embed code in the editor, it will be shown as a text block not as a video. I am trying to build the same functionality on my website with UTF-8 support. Any help will be highly appreciated.

    I'm trying to display a currency value in a grid, but I do not want the currency symbol to be shown: if fPreferences.WorksheetFormat = 'Numeric' then begin CurrencyString := ''; Value := FieldByName('UnitList').AsCurrency; end else Value := CurrToStrF(FieldByName('UnitList').AsCurrency, ffCurrency, 2, langFormat); The problem is that it's still showing the currency symbol. What am I doing wrong here? I don't think I can use CurrToStrF, because I need the grid to export a number to excel, not a string.

  • Failed to configure CA certificate chain

    Hi All, I'm trying to setup SSL on fedora with apache. In my vhost... SSLCertificateFile /your/path/to/crt.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile /your/path/to/key.key SSLCertificateChainFile /your/path/to/DigiCertCA.crt I had it working fine with a self signed key, but can't get it to work with the DigiCertCA crt. When I run service httpd restart It fails to start. This is what I get in the logs...   • How can I show characters for an ASP.net password textbox control after assigning its .Text property

    I am assigning a value to .Text of a textbox retrieved from a database in Page_Load() but no characters are shown in the textbox after doing this. The value is indeed there when I try to read from it after the assignment. I would like to present some characters to the user even though they are the "dotted" password characters so they know a password has been entered here. Is it possible to do this?

  • Search /usr/local/texlive directory with Spotlight

    Having TeXLive installed on my Mac, I frequently need to consult documentation for some of the packages. It seems silly to Google this when I have the PDFs all on my HDD in /usr/local/texlive/2011/texmf-dist/doc , so I want to be able to use Spotlight to search for them. However, I can't get Spotlight to cooperate. I tried mdimport /usr/local/texlive/2011/texmf-dist/doc which then does some work, but afterwards doesn't display any results in Spotlight. I've also added the folder in Alfred's search scope to no avail. Any ideas?

    Hello, In my SO profile, i tried to do Edit profile and there in "About Me" text box, i tried to paste a HTML code as below provided by linkedin.com to display a button which would link to my profile on linkedin. But it does not seem to work on SO.     hi guys, I am trying to implement ja_nickel joomla template in my site. here is the preview of ja_nickel template: http://demo.ijoomlahost.com/ja-nickel/ I want my latest news articles to be displayed in the place of top information block. I think in that template they are using a thumbnail image, title and content. In general articles we have only title and content. So which module can be used to perform that work and how? I want image, title and content in an article but don't know which provides it. OR can we just merge the title and content both of normal article and display the image of article like that?
