• How to use CLEAR USB internet connection in Ubuntu (host) and WindowsXP (guest) using VirtualBox

  I'm trying to use CLEAR Motorola WiMax USB in Ubuntu as there is no support for linux as yet. I've installed windowsxp as guest in ubuntu and the version I'm using is 3.2.2. USB is connecting fine in WindowsXP but I can't use internet in Ubuntu. Can you please tell me how to do it. Here is the configuration that could help you guys. Thanks in advance.   Hi, I have a table with 58 records in mysql database. I was able to connect to my database and retrive all records and made 5 pages with links to view each pages using php script. webpage will look like this: name number john 1232343456 tony 9878768544 jack 3454562345 joe 1232343456 jane 2343454567 andy 2344560987 marcy 9873459876 sean 8374623534 mark 9898787675 nancy 8374650493 1 2 3 4 5 that's the first page of 58 records and those 5 numbers at bottom are links to each page that will display next 10 records. I got all that. but what I want to do is display the links in this way: 1-10 11-20 21-30 31-40 41-50 51-58 note: since i have 58 records, last link will display upto 58, instead of 60. Since I used the loop to create this link, depending on how many records i have, the link will change according to the number of records in my table. How can i do this? Thanks.

  Hi, I am trying to create an array with different href's to then attach to 5 separate elements. This is my code: var link = new Array('link1', 'link2', 'link3', 'link4', 'link5'); $(document.createElement("li")) .attr('class',options.numericId + (i+1)) .html('<a rel='+ i +' href=\"page.php# + 'link'\">'+ '</a>') .appendTo($("."+ options.numericId)) As you can see I am trying to append these items from the array to the end of my page so each link will take the user to a different section of the page. But i have not been able to do this. Is there a way to to create elements with different links? I am new to javascript so I am sorry if this doesn't make a whole lot of sense. • Is it possible to force ignore the :hover pseudoclass for iPhone/iPad users?

  I have some css menus on my site that expand with :hover (without js) This works in a semi-broken way on iDevices, for example a tap will activate the :hover rule and expand the menu, but then tapping elsewhere doesn't remove the :hover. Also if there is a link inside the element that is :hover'ed, you have to tap twice to activate the link (first tap triggers :hover, second tap triggers link). I've been able to make things work nicely on iphone by binding the touchstart event. The problem is that sometimes mobile safari still chooses to trigger the :hover rule from the css instead of my touchstart events! I know this is the problem because when I disable all the :hover rules manually in the css, mobile safari works great (but regular browsers obviously don't anymore). Is there a way to dynamically "cancel" :hover rules for certain elements when the user is on mobile safari? I'm using jQuery.

• Mapping a 3D texture to a standard hollow-hull 3D model

  I have 3D models which are typical hollow hulls. If such a model also had a 3D volumetric/voxel texture map then given a point P inside such a model, I'd like to be able to find its uvw coordinates within the 3D texture. Is this possible by simply setting 3D texcoords on my existing mesh or does it have to be broken up into polyhedra? Is there a way to map a 3D texture onto a mesh without doing this?

• Can I use the CSS :visited pseudo class on 'wildcard' links?

  Let's say I have a site with multiple links as follows: www.example.com/product/1 www.example.com/product/2 www.example.com/product/3 I also append tracking info to links from time to time so that I can see how my site is being used, e.g, if somebody visits the products page from the product browser I would set a ref parameter: www.example.com/product/1&ref=pb www.example.com/product/2&ref=pb www.example.com/product/3&ref=pb The problem with this is that if the user visits a link of the first type and then views a link of the second type then the :visited pseudo class doesn't seem to apply because the browser only seems to match on exact URLs. Is there any way to have "wildcards" apply to links in this sense, so that when the user sees either the first type or the second type of link that it is highlighted? Note: I cannot change this "ref" architecture; it is inherited.

  Currently I have a webform that has a series of links. What I'd like to be able to do is add a webcontrol's content when one of the links is clicked. Is this kind of thing even possible? If not, what's the best strategy for loading a set of controls (one textbox and one dropdown with values from one link, two textboxes and a checkbox from another link, etc.). I'd need to be able get the values of each of these controls on postback. Ideally, I'd like to be able to add that new content to an acordian control, most likely the jQuery UI acordian. So each clickable link would add new content to an acordian control. What's everybody's thoughts on this?

  Okay I have two classes for two links and two divs with different information. What I am trying to do is have it so when you click on one link it adds a 2 to both of the classes and makes the second div visable. When you click on the other link it takes off a 2 and makes the first div visable. Here is what I currently got $("#posts").click(function () { $("#sideboxtopleft").toggleClass("2"); $("#arrow").toggleClass("2"); }); Pretty much posts is the link, when when you click on it. It would make sideboxtopleft and arrow, sideboxtopleft2 and arrow2 and when you clicked on comments it would take off the 2 of both of those. Then there are two divs, one is set to hidden and I want to make it visable and set the other to hidden. Pretty much creating a tab system with changing tab classes.

  Okay, So I am writing an OpenCart extension that must allow Arabic characters when posting data. Whenever I post ????? the print_r($_POST) returns with this: u0645u0631u062du0628u0627 I check the HTML header and it has this: <meta charset="UTF-8" /> I checked the PHP file that triggers all SQL queries and it has this code: mysql_query("SET NAMES 'utf8'", $this->link); mysql_query("SET CHARACTER SET utf8", $this->link); mysql_query("SET CHARACTER_SET_CONNECTION=utf8", $this->link); This is in my form tag: <form action="<?php echo $action; ?>" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" id="form" accept-charset="utf-8"> I can't think of what else I am doing wrong. The rest of the OpenCart framework supports UTF8 and arabic characters. It is just in this instance where I can't post anything arabic? Could someone please help me? Many Thanks Peter

  On my master page (for all pages in my site) I have a ToolkitScriptManager. On my content page, there are a series of hyperlinks and divs for collapsible functionality. However, if I don't include the jQuery file in the ToolkitScriptManager and instead include it in the content page, it works correctly. I'm a Javascript/jQuery newbie, and this makes no sense at all. What's going on here?

  I've been using Elementary Desktop for a while, but after the last update, Docky have broken. I've tried using the Docky stable ppa, but it is overridden by the Elementary ppa, as they provide a newer version of Docky. I would like to keep receiving updates to the Elementary theme, but I would also like to use the older version of Docky. Is there any way I can do this, or do I simply have to file a bug and wait?

  I think something is broken in my Ubuntu configuration because whenever I'm run a program or search a file on Dash, the last entry usually always added to left most item on Dash, but now it's not, I just realized this after couple of hour, my Dash look the same. How to set it back to default behavior? Because it's pretty annoying and time consuming if you have to type everything over and over when the default is just press Enter to open last item.   How I can setup my rails app to respond to such urls: http://mydomain.com/white-halogene-lamp http://mydomain.com/children-lamps http://mydomain.com/contact-form The first one should link to my products controller, and show my product with this name The second one should link to my categories controller, and show the category with this name The third one should link to my sites controller, and show the site with this title. All three models (product, category, site) have a method to_seo, giving the mentioned above urls (after the slash) I know it's not the restful way, but please don't disuss here, it is wrong approach or not, that's not the question. The question is how to accomplish this weird routing ? I know we have catch all routes, but how I can tell rails to use different controllers on different urls in the catch all route ? Or have You an better idea ? I would avoid redirects to other urls.
