In Outlook2003 or 2007, if you:
Open your Contacts folder
From the File menu, select Print
The Print dialog box will open
Beneath "Print style", select Phone Directory Style.
This will print all your contacts as a phone directory. Can the same be done from OWA?
I have nothing but bad experiences in using built in raid controller.
Is there a possibility to use the software raid features of windows 2003 in Windows XP?
Building on my previous question about RHEL, how do you add get the guest OS to recognize that you've added new drives to it without a reboot?
I have Windows 2003, XP, and 2008 guests running on ESX 4. I've added new virtual disks to the VM, but have not figured-out how to get the guest to recognize them without a reboot.
Is this possible? If so, how?
Is there a way to use the built-in windows file compression tool in command line? Instead of RightClick/Send To/Compress (Zipped) Folder.
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
Thanks!
How can I move the pointer (the diagonal line) in a callout in Powerpoint?
I want the pointer at the textbox to point to the middle, not the upper third.
I would post a pic, but I don't have enough reputation, look here instead.
edit: I'm using PP 2003.
I am a .net programmer trying to create this setup:
I want this server to be inaccessible through DMZ accept for IPSEC connections, and to also have a private network which will be accessible through another windows 2008 server which will host vpn.
That is how our windows 2003 infrastructure works and I am trying to do the same with 2008 servers, are there any guides or documentations that have this scenario?
We use a Windows 2003 server and XP stations.
The server's LDAP is working ok, as I am able to retrieve the addresses it contains with Thunderbird.
I'd like to be able to ADD an address to the server's book (the address of a new contact that freshly wrote me, for example) directly from Thunderbird, but that doesn't seem possible.
What can I do ?
OS: Windows server 2003
I got a huge list of rules that need to be add in IPsec. Is there any way I can do in bulk mode instead of added one by one? If no, it will be a nightmare... Thanks.
Hi all,
I am having fifty workstations which are connected to a windows server 2003 server and the internet is shared from the server .My question is , am i able to implement a tracking mechanism without using any proxy server and track all the web pages which ever visited by an individual workstation connected to a network? If possible how to achieve that kind of tracking mechanism? Some workstations do open their web pages in InPrivate browsing , can we access those browsing history?
An excel document with several pivot and lookup tables that previously worked under office xp and 2003 stopped working after an upgrade to office 2007 (linked stuff doesn't update).
I originally assumed there's something disabled in 2007 that I need to turn back on, but after having opened it in excel 2007 it no longer works in previous versions either.
Any idea what I'm missing/what excel 2007 did?
I'm setting up a log collection server for my Windows network (about 30 servers ranging from 2003 to 2008 R2, and about 300 vista/7 clients), and I was wondering which logs are good to collect and which ones are a waste of time. I'm going to collect the obvious ones (system, security, event, firewall, and role specific logs) but are there any others I should be worried about? I'm using Splunk if that helps answer the question.
I'm trying to determine what GPO's are being applied to my Windows 7 machine in a Windows 2003 AD network. However, whenever I bring up a command window and run the GPRESULT command, all I get are error messages. Does gpresult work at all in Windows 7?
I'm running WAMP server on Windows Server 2003, Apache 2.2, and I would like to completely disable writing into the access log.
It would be neat if I could do the following, but I'm on Windows:
CustomLog "|/dev/null" common
All I get in the error log is "piped log program '/dev/null' failed unexpectedly", although I kinda expected this...
Is there a Windows alternative to this or any other way to just disable writing the access log?
I am trying to get Jakarta Connector to work on my Windows 2003 Box, with IIS 6. I downloaded the latest version of the connector. Whenever I try to access the redirector I get a "You are not authorized to view this page - HTTP Error 401.3" in my isapi_redirect log the last line is always
[debug] HttpFilterProc::jk_isapi_plugin.c (2079): [/jakarta/isapi_redirect.dll] is not a servlet url
Anyone have any ideas on what is going on and why I cant get this to work.
Environment - MS Server 2003 AD Domain, XP computers at Branch office connected by VPN back to main office. T
IP Traffic to the internet and internally is relatively stable, but the in-house application has been buggy, and dropping connections. Users report "slowness"
DNS Name resolution might be the culprit or a symptom, I cannot ping workstations at the main office by name, but can ping their IP Address...
Any ideas?
We would like to prevent USB access to machines (primarily Windows XP, 2003 machines) so that it would not be possible for employees to copy anything from the disk to a pen drive.

We have to replace our server (2003-based), and we was thinking that it's time to switch to Windows 2008 r2.
Then i saw this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753473.aspx
We only need IIS, no ftp/email/AD required
It looks like IIS in Win7 and Win2008r2 it's almost the same.
How do you think about Windows 7 as a web server?
There are some "hidden" limitations? We could even save a lot of money.
I know how to view the VPN sessions currently logged in and how long that connection has been on but I want to be able to view a history of these activities over long periods of time. I don't think I need employee monitoring software...I just want to see who has VPNed overnight.
We are using Windows 2003. Any help is appreciated.
When I attempt to open Word 2003 I receive the following error "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
This has only just started occurring. The operating System is Windows XP Professional
In TFS 2008, I am trying to modify a build script (TFSBuild.proj). I get the following warning:
The element 'PropertyGroup' in namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003' has invalid child element 'TeamProject' in namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003'.
Which is correct, The element PropertyGroup does indeed have a child called TeamProject.
I’m making an assumption that this is caused because of the following line:
<Project DefaultTargets="DesktopBuild" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003" ToolsVersion="3.5">
The Xml Namespace doesn’t appear to exist as far as I can tell, although it looks like a standard one. Please can anyone tell me if this is a standard XML namespace, how or where I can view its contents and whether the warning that I am seeing may be caused by it?
