  • SQL Syntax for Complex Scenario (Deals)

    hello everyone i have a complex query to be written but cannot figure it out here are my tables Sales --one row for each sale made in the system SaleProducts --one row for each line in the invoice (similar to OrderDetails in NW) Deals --a list of possible deals/offers that a sale may be entitled to DealProducts --a list of quantities of products that must be purchased in order to get a deal now im trying to make a query which will tell me for each sale which deals he may get the relevant fields are: Sales: SaleID (PK) SaleProducts: SaleID (FK), ProductID (FK) Deals: DealID (PK) DealProducts: DealID(FK), ProductID(FK), Mandatories (int) for required qty i believe that i should be able to use some sort of cross join or outer join, but it aint working here is one sample (of about 30 things i tried) SELECT DealProducts.DealID, DealProducts.ProductID, DealProducts.Mandatories, viwSaleProductCount.SaleID, viwSaleProductCount.ProductCount FROM DealProducts LEFT OUTER JOIN viwSaleProductCount ON DealProducts.ProductID = viwSaleProductCount.ProductID GROUP BY DealProducts.DealID, DealProducts.ProductID, DealProducts.Mandatories, viwSaleProductCount.SaleID, viwSaleProductCount.ProductCount the problem is that it doesnt show any product deals that r not fullfiled (probably because of the productid join). i need that also sales that dont have the requiremnets show up, then i can filter out any saleid that exists in this query "where AmountBought thank you for your help

    I have a model structure: Category hasMany Product hasMany Stockitem belongsTo Warehouse, Manufacturer. I fetch data with this code, using containable to be able to filter deeper in the associated models: $this->Category->find('all', array( 'conditions' => array('Category.id' => $category_id), 'contain' => array( 'Product' => array( 'Stockitem' => array( 'conditions' => array('Stockitem.warehouse_id' => $warehouse_id), 'Warehouse', 'Manufacturer', ) ) ), ) ); Data structure is returned just fine, however, I get multiple repeating queries like, sometimes hundreds of such queries in a row, based on dataset. SELECT `Warehouse`.`id`, `Warehouse`.`title` FROM `beta_warehouses` AS `Warehouse` WHERE `Warehouse`.`id` = 2 Basically, when building data structure Cake is fetching data from mysql over and over again, for each row. We have datasets of several thousand rows, and I have a feeling that it's going to impact performance. Is it possible to make it cache results and not repeat same queries?

  • Sqlite + Java: table not updating

    I'm using a Java wrapper for SQLite called SQLiteJDBC - this may have some bearing on any answers... I have a table which I've displayed in a GUI, within that UI I have a button for the fields for an individual row of that table. When I save my changes I do this... Statement stmt = connection.createStatement(); stmt.execute("update 'tableName' set 'fieldName'=1 where userid=1"); int updateCount = stmt.getUpdateCount(); My connection is valid, I get no exceptions thrown and getUpdateCount() returns '1' indicating that one row has been updated. However my table is not updated. I've spent the last few hours trying to work out what's going on but I'm not having any luck. Help!!

    I'd like to swap out an sql:query for some Java code that builds a complex query with several parameters. The current sql is a simple select. <sql:query var="result" dataSource="${dSource}" sql="select * from TABLE " </sql:query How do I take my Java ResultSet (ie. rs = stmt.executeQuery(sql);) and make the results available in my JSP so I can do this textbook JSP?     Hello, I am trying to fix this pagination script. It seems when I click on the pagination links [1][2][3][4]or[5] , it doesn't work. It just shows the first page and when clicking on the next numbers nothing happens. I hoping someone can see something in the script that I can not see.     Above is how my report looks, the part in yellow in hidden, and is only shown when the user clicks the + icon on the [name]. the result is basically the percentage difference from the Past [X] - [TERM] i.e there is a dropdown with, [weeks, months, days, hours] and a textbox of qty. so choosing qty = 4 and term = weeks will delivery a result set spread over 4 weeks based on the parent result sets date range and name ID I wish to populate here the number of rows, dependant on the value set by the user and the data will be from a dataset. Is it possible to dynamically add more sub rows ( like on row data bound ) if my first row is ID 123 [name], is it possible to send this value [123] to a dataset in order that all subrows are only relevant to the name with ID of 123? this is my first bash at SSRS so please no half cut answers, that just lead to more questions about the answer given :-) if this makes sense.   • numberOfSectionsInTableView is requested in/after viewDidLoad ONLY if tableview is empty

    A simple tableviewController, empty. A modal that can be launched from a button. No data in the data source for the tableview, and no rows displayed. I open the modal, use it to add an item, and return to the tableview controller. The tableview updates itself automatically, and the new row is displayed. I add a second item. The table view does NOT update automatically. I can tell by logging inside numberOfSectionsInTableView that even if I go to add the first item and cancel, the tableview refreshes - it asks for the number of sections, rows, and the cell to display (if there is one). But not if there is one pre-existing row in the table. I've scoured my code but can't find anything that would cause the tableview to know when the first item is added, but none afterwards. Any ideas? EDIT - I have further narrowed my issue so will close this shortly and post a more specific question

  • SQL 2008 GUID column is all 0's

    I'm hoping this is a simple goof I did on my end ... I have a table in my database set up like so: column name: widget_guid data type: uniqueidentifier allow nulls: false default value: newid() identity: false row guid: true When records are created (via LINQ to SQL) that the values in this field are formatted as a GUID but contain all 0's My assumption was that when a new record was created, that a guid would be autogenerated for that column, much like an auto-incrementing row id. Is this not true? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello, I have a list that's going to be updated with relatively static data weekly, and I wanted to create a workflow to do this automatically. The only field I'm having trouble with is Start Date. I want the new Start Date to be exactly one week after the previous week's (row's) Start Date, but I can't figure out how to capture this. I can't seem to find an easy way to get the value of the previous row. Now, theoretically, I could just have the workflow run once a week on a given day and use [Today] as the value for the field; however, a requirement is that the list can be populated a few weeks in advance if needed.     hi there I have a big dataframe with columns such as: ID, time, OS, IP Each row of that dataframe corresponds to one entry. Within that dataframe for some IDs serveral entries (rows) exist. I would like to get rid of those multiple rows (obviously the other attributes will differ for the same ID). Or put different: I only want one single entry (row) for each ID. Could anyone be so kind and help me out on this one? When I use unique, on the ID column, I only recieve the levels (or each unique ID), but I want to keep the other attributes as well... I have tried to use apply(x,2,unique(data$ID)), but this does not work either... Any help is highly appreciated!

    I need to export some data to excel in my forms aplication, so i used microsoft.office.interop.excel and everything is ok except one thing. When exporting client's email I would like to make it an mailto: link. excellApp.Cells[row, 16] = "mailto:"+client.Email; doesn't work Whend I add hiperlink when exporting www field it looks like this: excelWorkSheet.Hyperlinks.Add(excellApp.Cells[row, 14], client.Www, Type.Missing, Type.Missing, Type.Missing); How can I export an email to have similar effect coz right now I have only simple fields withou any action...?

  • Dividing a 9x9 2d array into 9 sub-grids (like in sudoku)? (C++)

    I'm trying to code a sudoku solver, and the way I attempted to do so was to have a 9x9 grid of pointers that hold the address of "set" objects that posses either the solution or valid possible values. I was able to go through the array with 2 for loops, through each column first and then going to the next row and repeating. However, I'm having a hard time imagining how I would designate which sub-grid (or box, block etc) a specific cell belongs to. My initial impression was to have if statements in the for loops, such as if row < 2 (rows start at 0) & col < 2 then we're in the 1st block, but that seems to get messy. Would there be a better way of doing this?

  • Dynamically adding data to a UITableView

    Hey guys! I'm new to Objective C and I need a little help. I've created a UITableView in a UIViewController. I'd like to know how to populate my UITableView dynamically. The data is a bunch of labels that I've stored in a NSMutableArray. So each row displays the contents of the array. Once the array is reloaded with fresh data, the second row will then keep displaying the data as it is added to the array. Thanks in advance for any help!
