• Unable to locate using find element by link

  Newbie in testing. I generated a test case using Selenium, and then exported it as a Python script. Now, when I try to run that in terminal, I get following error: raise exception_class(message, screen, stacktrace) NoSuchElementException: Message: u'Unable to locate element: {"method":"link text","selector":"delete"}' I am using the command generated by Selenium i.e driver.find_element_by_link_text("delete").click() The reason for the error I believe is that the link "delete" in my web page is seen only when I click on a particular line to be deleted. So I guess it is being unable to locate the link. Please suggest what alternative measure could I use to locate and click on the "delete" link. Thanks in Advance:)

  I am trying to change the color of the text of tabbar item,programmatically. I am using [[UITabBar appearance] setTitleTextAttributes:[NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys: [UIFont fontWithName:@"AmericanTypewriter" size:20.0f], UITextAttributeFont, [UIColor blackColor], UITextAttributeTextColor, [UIColor grayColor], UITextAttributeTextShadowColor, [NSValue valueWithUIOffset:UIOffsetMake(0.0f, 1.0f)], UITextAttributeTextShadowOffset, nil]]; Which should works on iOS5 and above. But my apps gets crashed with error at console : *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[_UIAppearance setTitleTextAttributes:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x79f5790' *** First throw call stack: Not sure, why i am getting a crash. Also please suggest, if there is any other way to change the font color of the tabbar items. Thanks

  I am shifting to Python, and am still relatively new to the pythonic approach. I want to write a function that takes a string and a list and returns true if all the elements in the list occur in the string. This seemed fairly simple. However, I am facing some difficulties with it. The code goes something like this: def myfun(str,list): for a in list: if not a in str: return False return True Example : myfun('tomato',['t','o','m','a']) should return true myfun('potato',['t','o','m','a']) should return false myfun('tomato',['t','o','m']) should return true Also, I was hoping if someone could suggest a possible regex approach here. I am trying out my hands on them too.

  This question was close to mine, but not quite. I have a Windows desktop and a MacBook Pro. I'd like to be able to keep my Eclipse workspace in my Dropbox folder. The problem is that many project settings change between platforms: references to JREs, JDKs, and other libs. Every discussion I've seen of this problem seems to suggest taking advantage of the source control system's ignore functionality, so that such-and-such file remains local-only and thus able to remain platform-specific. But when you're working with a real single shared folder, that class of solution doesn't apply. Have you had luck working with a Java Eclipse project living in a single folder shared over the network, cross-platform?

• MySQL : Calculate business day difference between two dates column

  My sql query returns back two columns, first column is "date created" and second column is "date updated", first column has a prior timestamp with respect to second column. I need to add a third column which can display business day hrs (9:00am to 5:00pm) response i.e. if date created is 2012-01-01 09:00:20 and "dated updated" is 4:00pm same day then third column should display 7 hrs If date created is 2012-01-01 16:00:20 (4:00pm) and "date updated" is 10:00m on 2012:01:02 (2nd Jan) then third column should display 2 hrs. It should exclude Saturday and Sunday. Can you please suggest appropriate SQL query for this.

• iphone - Images (slide show) and audio snychronization

  I have 20 images and some audio. I would like to show a single image at a time and change the images at (unequal) intervals. For example, I want to show image 1 for 1.44 seconds and image 2 for 1.67 seconds and so on. Can someone suggest how to go about doing this please? What I have seen are examples that show how to setup an array of images with one field that denotes total time. This causes the images to show for an equal amount of time (each). ... and that not what I am looking for ...

  Hello, I'm using for now List< to iterate through some object collection and find matching element, The problem is that object has only 2 significant values Name and Link (strings) but has some other values wich I dont want to compare. I'm thinkig about using something like HashSet (wich is exactly what I'm searching for - fast) from .NET 3.5 but target framework has to be 2.0. There is something called Power Collections here: http://powercollections.codeplex.com/ But maybe there is other way? If not, can you suggest me a suitable custom collection?

  Where I am, I can't afford to get certification. I'm definitely not the best programmer, but I do know my junk. I've been writing software in C++ for over 8 years now and have a very good knowledge of the Win32 API. But when applying for jobs, I get rejected every time I send a resume. I've given my resume to recruitment firms and asked them what they think's wrong with it and they said the only thing they could think of is the fact that I don't have certifications to prove that I know my stuff. But in my resume, I explain my previous work and projects, and also note that upon request they can actually see what I've done. Is there anything that you would suggest that might help others to stop ignoring my resumes? Thank you

• Should I convert overly-long UTF-8 strings to their shortest normal form?

  I've just been reworking my Encoding::FixLatin Perl module to handle overly-long UTF-8 byte sequences and convert them to the shortest normal form. My question is quite simply "is this a bad idea"? A number of sources (including this RFC) suggest that any over-long UTF-8 should be treated as an error and rejected. They caution against "naive implementations" and leave me with the impression that these things are inherently unsafe. Since the whole purpose of my module is to clean up messy data files with mixed encodings and convert them to nice clean utf8, this seems like just one more thing I can clean up so the application layer doesn't have to deal with it. My code does not concern itself with any semantic meaning the resulting characters might have, it simply converts them into a normalised form. Am I missing something. Is there a hidden danger I haven't considered?

  Merry christmas everyone, I Know my way around SQL but I'm having a hard time figuring this one out. First here are my tables (examples) User id name friend from //userid to //userid If user 1 is friend with user 10 then you a row with 1,10. User 1 cannot be friend with user 10 if user 10 is not friend with user 1 so you have 1,10 10,1 It may look weird but I need those two rows per relations. Now I'm trying to make a query to select the users that have the most mutual friend with a given user. For example User 1 is friend with user 10,9 and 7 and user 8 is friend with 10,9 and 7 too ,I want to suggest user 1 to invite him (like facebook). I want to get like the 10 first people with the most mutual friend. The output would be like User,NumOfMutualFriends I dont know if that can be done in a single query ? • How to pass a file (read from Java) most effectively to a native method?

  Hi, I have approx. 30000 files (1MB each) which I want to put into a native method, which requires just an byte array and the size of it as arguments. I looked through some examples and benchmarks (like http://nadeausoftware.com/articles/2008/02/java_tip_how_read_files_quickly) but all of them do some other fancy things. Basically I don't care about the contents of the file, I don't want to access something in that file or the byte array or do anything else with it. I just want to put a file into a native method which accepts an byte array as fast as possible. At the moment I'm using RandomAccessFile, but that's horribly slow (10MB/s). Is there anything like byte[] readTheWholeFile(File file){ ... } which I could put into native void fancyCMethod(readTheWholeFile(myFile), myFile.length()) What would you suggest?

  Hi, I have to merge all objects from a sub branch to main branch recursively. I would like to merge manually by check in the code from sub branch to main branch instead of using merge command in clear case. So after the check in into the main branch I would like to draw arrow recursively to all my objects. ic from sub branch to main branch I have used this command cleartool mkhlink -unidir Merge <sub branch path>>@@/main/<<sub branch>> <<main brach path>>@@/main/LATEST But when I dit it, it is drawing the arrow for the directory only not for all contains of the directory. But what if I do not wish to/cannot put any thing in front of glassfish? • Don't know how to encrypt database using SQLCipher

  I have included SQLCipher into my project exactly like explained in this link: http://sqlcipher.net/ios-tutorial/ But I am not sure how to encrypt the database I have read description from above link but not getting. Actually what I am doing is if application is opening first time then it will copy the database(i.e. without encryption) to the document directory. One more thing my database is blank when copying from bundle to document directory. I have tried to use sqlite3_key function after opening the database but nothing is encrypted. But I didn't found something like how to encrypt database when copying from bundle to document directory. I am planning to use FMDB so it would be better to reply according to that. Please guide me how to do that or point to direction if is there any tutorial for it. Also suggest what should be the standard approach to do that.

  Hi, We are facing one problem in managing test data(xmls which is used to create mock objects). The data which we have currently has been evolved over a long period of time. Each time we add a new functionality or test case we add new data to test that functionality. Now, the problem is when the business requirement changes the format( like length or format of a variable) or any change which the test data doesn't support , we need to change the entire test data which is 100s of MBs in size. Could anyone suggest a better method or process to overcome this problem? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  I have mysql table called user(id, name, join_on) join on is a date field what I want is to show in each day how many uses has been created I can use group by but it will only give me the dates when users get added like if date 4/12/10 5 users added 4/13/10 2 users added 4/15/10 7 users added here date 4/14/10 is missing and I want listing of all dates in one month. I have one solution for it by creating another table only for adding date and that table will left join my users table on join_on and will give total result but I don't want to do that as for creating that I need to create and add entries in date table please suggest the different approach for doing so. I am not able to understand how to place this big where condition (which contains a sub-query as well) in place of the "String selection" i.e. 3rd parameter of the method. Shall i simple write the entire where part(including the sub-query) as a string in the 3rd parameter or else there is some other better way for doing the same?   I am trying to typeset a large document using ReportLab and Python 2.7. It has a number of sections (about 6 in a 1,000 page document) and I would like each to start on odd-numbered/right-hand page. I have no idea though whether the preceding page will be odd or even and so need the ability to optionally throw an additional blank page before a particular paragraph style (like you sometimes get in manuals where some pages are "intentionally left blank"). Can anyone suggest how this could be done, as the only conditional page break I can find works on the basis of the amount of text on the page not a page number. I also need to make sure that the blank page is included in the PDF so that double-sided printing works.

  We are having a massive system having around 15 servers hosting .Net WCF services, mvc application etc. When we do a deployment (out of office hours) we have to uninstall and install everything on the live servers. This takes lot of time and if something goes wrong we have to rollback everything. can you please suggest something different to this? like Deply into a other environment (whenever you like) and switch the URL to point to new servers [This comes with the overhead of cost of maintaining 2 copies of production (active and passive)] any other ideas please.
