I just want to hear some suggestions from the community about what types of applications I should start with to help learn more advanced interactions with the platform.   • java alternative for phpMyAdmin

    I find myself working in an environment where all I have access to is Tomcat + MySQL. No Apache, no PHP. I'm looking for a web interface to MySQL that will run under Tomcat (can't be a desktop interface, as the mysql port is not accessible). I'm tried jMyAdmin and javaMyAdmin. I can't get either to work, and both lack documentation and community support. Can anyone make a recommendation please?

  • mysql_connect randomly hangs up

    I install php 5 (more precisely 5.3.1) as apache module. After this one of my application becomes randomly hang up on mysql_connect - sometimes works, sometimes no, sometimes reload of page helps. How can this be fixed? I use Windows Vista, Apache/2.2.14 (Win32) PHP/5.3.1 with php module, MySql 5.0.67-community-nt.

However the hair pulling was so much that you'd never add it to your resume (even though it might sound impressive) for fear that a future employer might think your the ideal candidate to "migrate", "integrate" or otherwise work with "Application X". Feel free to elaborate on why... (e.g. their APIs change monthly, there is/was no API, etc.) (made into a community wiki)

    My instance of Drupal 7 is unable to install new modules via FTP link. The error message that comes up is as follows : Warning: fileowner() [function.fileowner]: stat failed for temporary://upd92FE.tmp in update_manager_local_transfers_allowed() (line 924 of C:\inetpub\wwwroot\drupal\modules\update\update.manager.inc). My setup is as follows : Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit IIS 7.5 + Zend Community Server
