Hudson Maven build fails using workspace POM, works when pointing to development copy

I'm developing a series of web applications using Eclipse IDE, Maven, SVN, and Hudson for CI. When I specify the "Root POM" option in my Hudson job to be the copy of pom.xml in its workspace directory, the build fails citing compilation failure due to missing classpath entries. [ERROR] BUILD FAILURE [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [INFO] Compilation failure C:\Users\djones\.hudson\jobs\Store\workspace\trunk\src\main\java\com\app\store\model\User.java:[24,42] package org.hibernate.validator.constraints does not exist C:\Users\djones\.hudson\jobs\Store\workspace\trunk\src\main\java\com\app\store\dao\UserGroupHibernateSupportDao.java:[8,20] package org.hibernate does not exist C:\Users\djones\.hudson\jobs\Store\workspace\trunk\src\main\java\com\app\store\dao\UserGroupHibernateSupportDao.java:[10,49] package org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.support does not exist When I specify the "Root POM" to be the copy of pom.xml in my Eclipse workspace, it builds just fine. It builds fine from Eclipse too. I want to move Hudson over to a separate machine so several developers can use it, so I can't very well point to my own development workspace to give it a POM. If I try putting an SVN URL in the "root pom.xml" option, it says file not found. What should I be entering here for a project worked on by several developers, and hosted in an SVN repository?

I want to implement a web-service that uses the same interface as the Lists web service in sharepoint. I do not want to run this through sharepoint. What is a good way to get started in this? I have tried to use the wsdl.exe tool to generate some wrapper classes but the generated wrappers seem to have punted on the structure parameters and just specified them as XML. For example below is the generated wrapper for GetList - it should return a structure which has the information in the list, but instead it is returning XML. How to merge objects in php ?

Hey everybody, I'm currently re-writing a class which handles xml files. Depending on the xml file and it's structure I sometimes need to merge objects. Lets say once I have this: <page name="a title"/> And another time I have this: <page name="a title"> <permission>administrator</permission> </page> Before, I needed only the attributes from the "page" element. That's why a lot of my code expects an object containing only the attributes ($loadedXml-attributes()). Now there are xml files in which the <permission> element is required. I did manage to merge the objects (though not as I wanted) but I can't get to access one of them (most probably it's something I'm missing). To merge my objects I used this code: (object) array_merge( (array) $loadedXml->attributes(), (array) $loadedXml->children() ); This is what I get from print_r(): stdClass Object ( [@attributes] => Array ( [name] => a title ) [permission] => Array ( [0] => administrator ) ) So now my question is how to access the @attributes method ? Hi: I am using myXmlDataDoc.DataSet.ReadXml(xml_file_name, XmlReadMode.InferSchema); to populate the tables within the dataset created by reading in a xml schema using: myStreamReader = new StreamReader(xsd_file_name); myXmlDataDoc.DataSet.ReadXmlSchema(myStreamReader); The problems I am facing is when it comes to read the xml tag: The readXml function puts the element in a different table and everything in the tables are 0s. Ruby and RSS2 Feed not displaying image

Trying to create a simple RSS2 Feed that I could later pass on to FeedBurner but can't get RSS feed to display images at all. Also, from what I have read having xml.instruct! on top might cause IE to complain it's not a valid feed. Is this true? How to change XmlSchemaElement.SchemaType (or: difference between SchemaType and ElementSchemaType)

Hey, I'm working on a XML Editor which gets all his information from the corresponding XSD file. To work with the XSD files I use the System.Xml.Schema Namespace (XmlSchema*). Because of an 'xsi:type' attribute in the XML I've to change the XmlSchemaType of an XmlSchemaElement. Until now I use in my code the 'ElementSchemaType' property of 'XmlSchemaElement'. The nice thing about it: it's read only. There is also in 'XmlSchemaElement' an 'SchemaType' property which is not read only, but always null (yes, XmlSchema and XmlSchemaSet are compiled). So how can I change the type of the 'XmlSchemaElement'? Or, also the same question: What is the diffrence between this two porperties? Some technical data: C#, .NET 3.5 The MSDN documentation is nearly the same for both: SchemaType Documentation: Gets or sets the type of the element. This can either be a complex type or a simple type. ElementSchemaType Documentation: Gets an XmlSchemaType object representing the type of the element based on the SchemaType or SchemaTypeName values of the element.

Why's a simple change to rt.jar causing the Java Runtime Environment to crash silently?

This is what I'm doing: extract contents of my JRE's rt.jar extract src.zip of my JDK (same version) Now, if I copy Runtime.java from the extracted src folder and compile it using javac.exe without any modifications and then put it in the extracted rt folder to finally put everything back in a jar file using jar.exe, everything works as expected. The JRE runs fine. However, if I make the slightest change to Runtime.java and compile it and put it in rt.jar, the JRE crashes whenever I attempt to start it. This is an example of a slight change that causes the silent crash: /** Don't let anyone else instantiate this class */ private Runtime() { System.out.println("This is a test."); } Instead of: /** Don't let anyone else instantiate this class */ private Runtime() {} Could anyone tell me why this is causing my JRE to crash? I need to post raw xml to a site and read the response. With the following code I keep getting an "Unknown File Format" error and I'm not sure why. The file.createNewFile(); creates the temp.htm file outside the .jar file So when editorPane.setPage(Program.class.getResource("temp.htm")); is called the file is not found as it searches for file inside the test package. How to setPage() the temp.htm file whiich is outside the .jar file but in the same folder as the .jar file? As the temp.htm is a localfile and I want a relative path instead of an absolute path. How do I find resources in a .jar on the classpath?

If I have a collection of resource files in a directory on my classpath, I can enumerate them using ClassLoader.getResources(location). For example if I have /mydir/myresource.properties on the classpath, I can call the classloader's getResources("mydir") and get an enumeration of URLs containing myresource.properties. When I pack up the exact same resources into a .jar, I don't get anything in the enumeration of URLs when I make the call. I've only replaced the folder structure with a jar containing those folders (it's a webapp, so the jar is going into /WEB-INF/lib). I've also got a number of other calls using getResourceAsStream(location) to get other resources individually by name and they're all working fine. What's different about enumerating resources when the resources are in a .jar?

(current result .. not the one I'm after) <ReviewListViewData> <reviews> <review>....</review> ... </reviews> </ReviewListViewData> I'm trying to get (notice how I've removed the bad root node?) ... <reviews> <review>....</review> ... </reviews> Class is defined as... public class ReviewListViewData { [XmlArray("reviews")] [XmlArrayItem("review")] public ReviewViewData[] Reviews { get; set; } } and here's a sample way it's called in an ASP.NET MVC ActionMethod :- var reviewListViewData = GetReviewListViewData(...); return XmlResult(reviewListViewData); // (XmlResult referenced from MVCContrib). anyone have any ideas, please?

Hi, I m facing a issue where test/resource is not picked,but instead jar's main/resource is picked Scenario is like : Myproject src/test/resources--- have config.xml w which should be needed by abc.jar which is a dependecy in Myproject. When running test case for Myproject its loading config.xml of abc.jar instead of Myproject test/resources. - I need to know order in which maven pick resources. - Or wat im trying is not possible. Magento - Add a button to system.xml with method attached to it

Hi, I have created a module that has an "export like" method running regularly as defined in my module's cron area of the config.xml file. But I'd like to give the user the ability to run this export method on demand by adding a "Run now" button in the system configuration, thus using the system.xml file. It seems that the "frontend type" button may be working as I've tried and it adds a tiny clickable button in the config section. But I am not able to attach a method nor a label on the button itself. I thought about adding a button in the "Grid.php" file of the module but this not what I'd like to do as it does fit with my acl. Below is my system.xml file with the "button" frontend type. What can I do to get such an empty XML? I tried adding the nillable=true annotation to the elements however, this returns me an XML with the xsi:nil="true" which then causes my unmarshaller to ignore this. How do I achieve this?

Flex Tree Properties, Null Reference?

I am pulling down a large XML file and I have no control over it's structure. I used a custom function to use the tag name to view the tree structure as a flex tree, but then it breaks. I am guessing it has something to do with my other function, one that calls attribute values from the selected node. Simple HTML interface to XSD?

I'm writing an app that, at its heart, uses a hierarchical tree of nodes in XML, it looks like this: <node> <name>Node1</name> <Attribute1>Something</Attribute1> <Attribute2>SomethingElse</Attribute2> <child>Node2</child> <child>Node4</child> <child>Node7</child> </node> And so on (all child elements must refer to an existing node, though the node inquestion doesnt have to precede the first reference to it) For a simple structure like this is there a simple tool to generate a html page that will allow a user to enter Nodes and dynamically update a server-side xml file? Im basically writing a tool that will use such a file, but the people who's job it is to create the file arent especially techno-literate, so creating the XML by hand is a no-no. I could hand-crank one fairly quickly, but if I can get a tool to do it, even better (especially as the format may change in future)....

XmlSerializer construction with same named extra types

Hey, I am hitting trouble constructing an XmlSerializer where the extra types contains types with the same Name (but unique Fullname). Below is an example that illustrated my scenario. Type definitions in external assembly I cannot manipulate: public static class Wheel { public enum Status { Stopped, Spinning } } public static class Engine { public enum Status { Idle, Full } } Class I have written and have control over: public class Car { public Wheel.Status WheelStatus; public Engine.Status EngineStatus; public static string Serialize(Car car) { var xs = new XmlSerializer(typeof(Car), new[] {typeof(Wheel.Status),typeof(Engine.Status)}); var output = new StringBuilder(); using (var sw = new StringWriter(output)) xs.Serialize(sw, car); return output.ToString(); } } The XmlSerializer constructor throws a System.InvalidOperationException with Message "There was an error reflecting type 'Engine.Status'" This exception has an InnerException of type System.InvalidOperationException and with Message "Types 'Wheel.Status' and 'Engine.Status' both use the XML type name, 'Status', from namespace ''. Use XML attributes to specify a unique XML name and/or namespace for the type." Given that I am unable to alter the enum types, how can I construct an XmlSerializer that will serialize Car successfully?

I have an xml file that I'm parsing with php's simplexml, but I'm having an issue with an iteration through nodes. the xml: <channel> <item> <title>Title1</title> <category>Cat1</category> </item> <item> <title>Title2</title> <category>Cat1</category> </item> <item> <title>Title3</title> <category>Cat2</category> </item> </channel> my counting function: public function cat_count($cat){ $count = 0; $items = $this->xml->channel->item; $size = count($size); for($i=0;$i<$size;$i++){ if($items[$i]->category == $cat){ $count++; } } return $count; } Am I overlooking an error in my code, or is there another preferred method for iterating through the nodes? I've also used a foreach and while statement with no luck, so I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?

im trying to get latitude and longtitude from google map by giving address. But its giving error.when i directly copy url to browser url bar.its giving correct result.If anybody know the answer .Plz reply. How to construct objects based on XML code?

I have XML files that are representation of a portion of HTML code. Those XML files also have widget declarations. Example XML file: <message id="msg"> <p> <Widget name="foo" type="SomeComplexWidget" attribute="value"> inner text here, sets another attribute or inserts another widget to the tree if needed... </Widget> </p> </message> I have a main Widget class that all of my widgets inherit from. The question is how would I create it? Here are my options: Create a compile time tool that will parse the XML file and create the necessary code to bind the widgets to the needed objects. Advantages: No extra run-time overhead induced to the system. It's easy to bind setters. Disadvantages: Adds another step to the build chain. Hard to maintain as every widget in the system should be added to the parser. Use of macros to bind the widgets. Complex code Find a method to register all widgets into a factory automatically. Advantages: All of the binding is done completely automatically. Easier to maintain then option 1 as every new widget will only need to call a WidgetFactory method that registers it. Disadvantages: No idea how to bind setters without introducing a maintainability nightmare. Adds memory and run-time overhead. Complex code What do you think is better? Can you guys suggest a better solution?
