Hi,
I am storing an array of bytes into SQL Server. I want to create and save an image from a byte[] but several attempts seem unreliable and result in intermittent exceptions.
What is the best way to go about this?
i need to save an image file to client side ,, with out prompting the save, open, cancel dialog , or any similar thing , after long searching i heard that will this will be done only by ActiveX.
please note that the website is on minimum security and its LocalSite and trusted site
I want images that gradually "gradient" to blend in with the background color (white/transparent) as it gets to the bottom. Is there a way I can apply a CSS3 gradient or some sort of gradual transparency using CSS3 to the bottom edges of the image so it looks like its fading into the background color? I know I can make images with some photoeditor to achieve that effect, but I am curious to know if CSS3 can accomplish it.
Want to add a nice multiple image upload feature to a site so I figured use one that most people already know. This is a .Net MVC App
Anyone know what Facebook uses?
If not, then does anyone know of one that is similar?
I have an application created with PhoneGap and Backbone. I upload a file as JSon and my server receive data like this :
data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQAAAQABAAD/...
I'm trying to write the file like this :
File.open("#{Rails.root}/public/images/#{self.id}.jpg", "w+") do |f|
f.write(data)
end
It's not working and I don't know what to do. When I'm trying to open the file I have this message "Not a JPEG file: starts with 0x64 0x61".
Do you have a solution?

Hello everyone,
I am using VSTS 2008 + C# + .Net 3.5 on Windows 7. I want to use Expression Encoder 3 to generate thumbnail image for video (wmv format) every 30 seconds -- e.g. for a 5 minutes video, there will be 10 thumbnails which reflects video at the time of 0 second, 30 second, 1 minute, 1 minute and 30 seconds, etc.
Any reference code?
thanks in advance,
George
I have noticed that the quality of the images produced by the JPEGEncoder does not match that of other encoders available (i.e. php's built in image compression functions from the gd library)
Any explanation ? or hints/workarounds for improving the quality of compressed images by JPEGEncoder ??
I have a page with several galleries including accordions and sliders. The problem is that the page takes forever to load. Is there a way of wrapping an image in a bit of code or applying a class to it to force it to load only after everything else is loaded?

=img "me.jpg"
Can anybody point me in the direction to where this might be online, or where I could learn how to write one, or provide an example of one they have already written

I have a graph with 1000+ nodes that is fairly sparse. I would like to create a visualization of this graph, and let users drag around it, the same way that users can drag the image of Google or Bing maps around.
Is there any service/toolkit/technology that exists to allow me to do this easily? Javascript? Silverlight? Flash/Flex?

I'm trying to log URLs that access broken images, using an HTTP module to catch those images when accessed.
How do you retrieve the URL where that image sits on? is there a way to do it the other way round too? That is, loop through images served in a URL and decide which ones are broken.
This is all in ASP.NET with C#.
