When I try to delete a User who has an address I have to use orphanremoval=true on the corresponding relation (see above) and the preRemove function where the address List is set to null. Otherwise (no orphanremoval and adress list not set to null) a foreign key contraint fails. When i try to delete a user who has an vehicle a concurrent Acces Exception is thrown when do not uncomment the "this.owner.removeVehicle(this);" in the preRemove Function of the vehicle. The thing i do not understand is that before i used this inheritance there was only a User class which had all relations: @Entity @Table(name = "Users") public class User implements Serializable { @Id protected String username; @OneToMany(mappedBy = "owner", cascade = {CascadeType.PERSIST, CascadeType.REMOVE}) private List<Vehicle> vehicles; @OneToMany(cascade = CascadeType.ALL) @JoinTable(name = "USER_ADDRESS", joinColumns = @JoinColumn(name = "USERNAME") inverseJoinColumns = @JoinColumn(name = "ADDRESS_ID")) ptivate List<Address> addresses; ... No orphanremoval, and the vehicle class has used the uncommented statement above in its preRemove function. And - I could delte a user who has an address and i could delte a user who has a vehicle. So why doesn't everything work without changes when i use inheritance? I use JPA 2.0, EclipseLink 2.0.2, MySQL 5.1.x and Netbeans 6.8

  • PHP Strange error "0:". Possible Object syntax problem?

    I'm trying to transfer a site from one hosting company to another. I was using 000webhost until the client had hosting and a domain. Now that the client has their domain and hosting, using FatCow.com, I can not for the life of me, debug my PHP code. I'm not getting any errors. I have a successful DB connection. If you procedurally display data, it works, but when I try to use my original objects, something is breaking and just returns "0:". I have all errors on. On old server where the site worked: PHP Version 5.2.11 MySQL Version: 5.0.81 On new server where I get the "0:": PHP Version 5.2.12 MySQL Version 5.0.32 I've setup a test page to test just the output of the variables with the DB connection.   • Tortoisesvn not showing up correct status after commit

    Hi, I was going to ask this in tigris.org, however they have maintenance in their forum. My environment: Windows 7 x64, Tortoisesvn latest x64, simple repo. What I'm doing: I am adding a new file to repo, then doing SVN Commit. This operation is successful and I can see it in repo from trac or directly. I expect: To see that file's icon as green checkmark. What I have: I see blue PLUS icon, like I haven't done commit. However, if I just create any new file in that folder(without any commit or update), the icon is immediately changing to checkmark. What a magic! I don't expect here anyone to have answer, this might be a bug, but who knows )) Cheers!

  • Are Dynamic Prepared Statements Bad? (with php + mysqli)

    I like the flexibility of Dynamic SQL and I like the security + improved performance of Prepared Statements. So what I really want is Dynamic Prepared Statements, which is troublesome to make because bind_param and bind_result accept "fixed" number of arguments. So I made use of an eval() statement to get around this problem. But I get the feeling this is a bad idea.     I commented on this answer some time ago regarding how visual studio comments out code with // or /* */. I was thinking to revise the answer (to include my findings) but I had to test it first, which kind of confused me. My finding is that depending on where your marker is when you press Ctrl - K, Ctrl - C you will get either // or /* */. So I tried it out on the following code: [1] [2]FD_ZERO(&mFSet); FD_SET(user->mSender, &mFSet); timeval zeroTime = { 0, 0 }; int sel = select(0, NULL, &mFSet, NULL, &zeroTime); [3] if (sel == SOCKET_ERROR){ [5]return false; [4] } if (sel == 0){ [6] return false; [7] } The [x] is markerpositions. All [1] positions give // for all marked lines. However Start position End Position: gives: [2] [3] : /* */ [2] [4] : // [2] [5] : /* */ [2] [more than 5] : // [5] [6] : /* */ [5] [7] : // I guess it has to do with forward indentation (not backwards), that whenever code is indented more than the starting line you get // except when you haven't selected any text on the indented line ([2] [5]). But why the distinction? Why not use /* */ for when you start at [2] and // when you start at [1]?

  • ASP.NET inline code in a server control

    Ok, we had a problem come up today at work. It is a strange one that I never would have even thought to try. <form id="form1" runat="server" method="post" action="Default.aspx?id=<%= ID %>" > Ok, it is very ugly and I wouldn't have ever tried it myself. It came up in some code that was written years ago but had been working up until this weekend after a bunch of updates were installed on a client's web server where the code is hosted. The actual result of this is the following html: <form name="form1" method="post" action="Default.aspx?id=&lt;%= ID %>" id="form1"> The url ends up like this: http://localhost:6735/Default.aspx?id=<%= ID %> Which as you can see, demonstrates that the "<" symbol is being encoded before ASP.NET actually processes the page. It seems strange to me as I thought that even though it is not pretty by any means, it should work. I'm confused. To make matters worse, the client insists that it is a bug in IE since it appears to work in Firefox. In fact, it is broken in Firefox as well, except for some reason Firefox treats it as a 0. Any ideas on why this happens and how to fix it easily? Everything I try to render within the server control ends up getting escaped. Edit Ok, I found a "fix" <form id="form1" runat="server" method="post" action='<%# String.Format("Default.aspx?id={0}", 5) %>' > But that requires me to call DataBind which is adding more of a hack to the original hack. Guess if nobody thinks of anything else I'll have to go with that.

Is it possible somehow?

  • Git Pull works; Git push fails

    I thought I set up my key pairs correctly -- I can do git pulls. I can do git commits. But when I do a git push, it counts objects, decompresses, then says: fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly. What's the issue here? I'm a super user, so it's not folder writable / readable access problems -- it must be the way I set up the encryption key pair... how do I debug this ... since git pull works?
