• AspectFit Not Working for Transformed UIImageView

  I have a UIImageView inside a subview and I'm trying to get an AspectFit content mode working how I want for a 90 degree transformation. Here is a demo app of what I mean https://github.com/rdetert/image-scale-test If you run the app and hold it in a landscape orientation (app runs in landscape) you'll see that the image does not stretch from left edge to right edge. What seems to be happening is that the AspectFit works correctly for the portrait/default orientation, but then the image simply gets rotated the image after the fact. How can I make it auto stretch? I think the fact that it is inside a subview may have something to do with it?

• Codeigniter .htaccess not working in subdirectory

  I have this codeingniter project structure webRoot | |/application | | | |/controllers | | | |/admin | |/public | | | |/admin | | | | | |/css | | |/img | |/css | |/img And this is my .htacess file, located in /public. I always get "no input file specified". So after searching the web and trying lots of combinations, the best I got is this .htaccess file: Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^ index.php [L] With this one, if I go to http://development.mydomain.com - I see the codeigniter welcome page But if I go to: http://development.mydomain.com/admin - I see the directory listing of /public/admin and doesn't execute the controller in /application/controllers/admin Again, if I go to: http://development.mydomain.com/admin/admin - I see the private area, it executes the controller and goes to the default controller defined in routes, "dashboard" This works fine too: http://development.mydomain.com/admin/dashboard I have set in my config file: $config['index_page'] = ''; $config['base_url'] = ''; $config['uri_protocol'] = 'AUTO'; I think that whatever is wrong in my .htaccess is causing other path issues I have with my project. Any help would be great. Thanks to all in advance EDIT: I removed this line: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d because admin directory exists, that's why I see the public directory listing. But now I see the codeigniter welcome page when I go to http://development.mydomain.com/admin So now my .htaccess file looks like: Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^ index.php [L] #RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L] I also tried with the commented RewriteRule but I get the same result.

• mobile device - different background - media query not working

  Live site. This is my first attempt at utilizing a different CSS for mobile devices vs. regular screens. To do this, I'm using- @media only screen and (min-device-width : 320px) and (max-device-width : 480px) { background: url('img/background.jpg') no-repeat center center fixed; background-size: cover; height: 100%; } However, it doesn't seem to be working (I can only test on iPhones). Any ideas as to why that may be? I've also tried @media all to no avail.

I am also using jquery but it is used for other effects. i added jquery no conflict to avoid the prototype & jquery conflicts. • Embedded Google Earth Plug-Ins no longer working

  I really hope someone can help me. I just noticed that none of my website's Google Earth embedded plug-in's work anymore (in Safari, Chrome or Firefox)  All you can see now is blank space and small text that says "Information is temporarily unavailable." I have no idea why they would no longer be working.  Nothing has changed whatsoever. • Python Tkinter after loop not working fast enough

  I am making a simple metronome where it plays a tick sound every few milliseconds depending on the bpm and plays the sound using the winsound module. I use tkinter because there will be a gui component later but for now the metronome code is working, it plays the sound at a constant rate, but even though I set the after loop to play the sound every few milliseconds, it waits longer and the beat is slower than it should be. Is it a problem with the code or a problem with the way I calculate the time? Thanks. • htaccess not working as it should

  well, ofcourse its not working, im still a n00b :) this is the code that i have : Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule (.*)\.css - [S=7] RewriteRule (.*)\.jpg - [S=6] RewriteRule ^gallery gallery.html [L] RewriteRule (.*)/(.*)/ index.html?page=$2 [L] RewriteRule (.*)/(.*) index.html?page=$2 [L] RewriteRule (.*)/ index.html?page=$1 [L] RewriteRule (.*) index.html?page=$1 [L,QSA] Now, this works fine, if i try localhost/abc but it wont work if i try localhost/abc/ also, when i try localhost/abc/def (or localhost/abc/def/ for that matter) the css file isnt being included properly. i get an error saying /abc/def/style.css does not exist. :( however, the code doesnt work if i remove the QSA flag from the last rule. this is the code that ive come up with after a lot of googling and reading SO. if anyone can help out i'll be extremely grateful. thanks!

• Google search is not working in web browser control

  Hello, I have developed a browser using the standard WebBrowser control in my application that is built against CF 3.5. Google search is not working in the browser. That is when i navigate to www.google.co.in and type a keyword and click on the serach button nothing is happening. Outside the application from the device if i try the same thing in IE am getting a security warning dialog box and if ok is clicked search results are shown. So in my case do i need to set property on the webbrowser control. Thanks in advance

• Jquery Ajax Request working on Ubuntu but not working on Debian?

  I have a strange bug. I develop my application under linux ubuntu. Then i export my project under linux debian for production. I use a classic $.ajax request which return to url ,a json file to parse its content. I created a javascript alert() on the sucess part to see what is returned. Under the developpement version under ubuntu, it's works and i get : [object Object],[object Object],[object Object] Under the production environnement under debian, it's not working and i get my jsonfile content : [ { "cell_line" : "", "id_user" : "2", "public" : "0", },{...},{..} ,etc...] What is going on here? I really don't understand? How the change of platform (ubuntu to debian) can do this??? There is something I am missing.. I'll really appreciate some help on that. Thanks!

• Why maven is not working in eclipse indigo?

  I'm trying to make a simple log in/ log out web application with maven and I'm creating the project with the command: " mvn archetype:generate " and choose 341 and it'll be created with the structure below: webapp -----src/main/java -----Referenced Libraries -----Maven Dependencies -----src -----target pom.xml But when I add some dependencies and update the project something weird happening with the structure of the project according to the picture below: webapp -----src/main/java -----Referenced Libraries -----JRE System Library -----src -----target pom.xml and it's not working any more. As you can see the the first one has a Maven dependencies Library but the second one has been changed to JRE System Library. I use mac os lion and eclipse indigo. Anyone how knows why is like that? • step attribute not working with HTML5 <input type="range"> on Safari

  Are there known issues with range inputs not working fully on Safari? I have the following input element: <input type=?"range" min=?"0" max=?"360" step=?"0.0001" value=?"0">? On Chrome, the input goes according to the step variable. On Safari, it only goes by integer values. Even setting the step to 10 still makes it go by increments of 1. I'm confused because I thought Chrome and Safari both used WebKit.

• valid xml element in java replaceAll doesnt seem working well

  Im trying to create a xml file from a POJO , in which i have a property that stores urls, I have been using the below method to replace all & in the url String to make the xml conform to standards and pass it as an html char entity but the string does not change. public static String forHrefAmpersand(String aURL){ return aURL.replaceAll("&", "&"); } the value might be www.abc.com/controller?a=1&next=showResults I have even tried changing the above method to use "/" as i read replaceAll uses regular expression but replaceAll is not working as exprected, Can anyone tell me what is the mistake im doing ? • Bash script not working on a new dedicated server

  Recently I have migrated to the new dedicated server which is running on the same operating system - FreeBSD 8.2. I got a root account access and all permissions have been set properly. • CodeIgniter | direct Echo during working script

  Is it possible to echo something while the script for example is still running in a loop? my problem: I ask the server with Ajax and then the server is fetching mails and store them in Database. This took around 15 sec. During that Time the Server should echo his progress so that the Javascript can update a loading bar. This is working with a php script without CodeIgniter well. Is there a way to skip the output class and all that stuff to get a direct echo? Thanks

  I'm currently working on a wordpress site. My task is just to add the conversion script in a thankyou page. I added the script here: http://www.livingedge.co.nz/thanks-for-getting-in-touch/ , unfortunately does not work. It says that a conversion.js was not found. See the attached screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/52ixQUzHKNxZ I added the conversion script on the footer put it in a conditional so that it will load only on the thakyoupage. I'm new to this and can't figure out what would be the possible cause of such problem. I tried adding the script in the header, on the page editor, on a form redirect. Q: What could be the possible cause of this issue?

• Keyup attribute 'name' change not working

  Hey guys, I've got what I imagine is a simple question, but for some reason, I can't get it working right. Expected Behavior: I type characters into a field, and, through a function, those characters are translated into the value of the name HTML attribute. Actual Behavior: Reflected in Firebug, the value doesn't change or update. The Code: $('input').live('keyup', function() { var name_value = $(this).val().toLowerCase(); $(this).attr('name', name_value); }); Just a side note: I'm using .live() because the element can be cloned, and those clones need to also be able to take on the properties of this .keyup event. Any ideas?
