    I have to setup a server which can allow http vcs management (such as git and svn). svn support works well, but I have some trouble with git.   • Nginx http_mp4_module seam installed but dont work

    I am running Macports apache2 on Mac OS X 10.5. Whenever I configure a virtual host in the default folder, it works, however when I configure the virtual host in my home directory I get a "403 Forbidden" error. How do I configure a vhost in my home directory? Here is the configuration that yields "403 Forbidden" when I access "devel.mysite.com": /opt/local/apache2/conf/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf: DocumentRoot "/opt/local/apache2/htdocs" ServerName * #CustomLog "" common <VirtualHost *:80> #DocumentRoot "/opt/local/apache2/htdocs/mysite" DocumentRoot "/Users/myuser/Sites/mysite" ServerName devel.mysite.com </VirtualHost> The error message in /opt/local/apache2/logs/devel.mysite.com-error_log: [Sat Apr 17 19:54:49 2010] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] client denied by server configuration: /Users/myuser/Sites/mysite/ When I uncomment the line to make DocumentRoot in /opt/local/apache2/htdocs/mysite, it works: DocumentRoot "/opt/local/apache2/htdocs" ServerName * #CustomLog "" common <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot "/opt/local/apache2/htdocs/mysite" #DocumentRoot "/Users/myuser/Sites" ServerName devel.mysite.com </VirtualHost> I get no errors or warnings when I start apache, and the only thing that is logged on startup is this (in /opt/local/apache/logs/error_log): [Sat Apr 17 19:56:29 2010] [notice] Digest: generating secret for digest authentication ...   • SSI includes not working on Debian with Apache

    I'm trying to get SSI to work on Debian running Apache, however the .shtml files are not being parsed. From a PHP file with phpinfo() I can see that the following show up in the loaded modules section: mod_mime_xattr mod_mime mod_mime_magic In /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/mime.conf I have (among other things): AddType text/html .shtml AddOutputFilter INCLUDES .shtml In /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/domain.com.conf (for the virtual host in question) I have: <Directory /home/username/public_html> Options +Includes allow from all AllowOverride All </Directory> and for good measure, I added the following as well: <Directory /> Options +Includes </directory> In the user's .htaccess file, I tried adding: Options +Includes AddType text/html shtml AddHandler server-parsed shtml Nothing seems to work. How can I even debug this?     I have a macbook pro i5. my understanding is that by default it should be able to serve php5. i have uncommented the relevant line in /etc/apache2/httpd.conf LoadModule php5_module libexec/apache2/libphp5.so I have restarted apache with sudo apachectl -k restart and when i try to access a file with a php extension, Apache prompts me to download the file. i.e. instead of processing the php and sending me html, it thinks i want to download the file.... when i look in apache error log i see this [Fri Nov 12 10:16:14 2010] [notice] Apache/2.2.14 (Unix) PHP/5.3.2 mod_ssl/2.2.14 OpenSSL/0.9.8l DAV/2 mod_wsgi/3.2 Python/2.6.1 configured -- resuming normal operations so it looks like php5 is loading properly. I just have a single folder /var/www/html/davtest owned by apache:apache and I want myUser to have readonly access and myAdmin to have read/write access.     Background: I use my Mac for web development, running copies of web sites locally. I recently installed the Snow Leopard update, which to all intents and purposes seems to have gone fine, except... What's not working? Web-sharing; more specifically I can't turn it on via preferences. The preference pane just hangs when I try to. So Apache doesn't start on reboot. I can start Apache by hand, but I don't know enough to either setup apache to start with the computer, or to properly fix web sharing. Further details My Apache error log shows nothing on when the system boots up (as I would expect). The following code is only broken in this way on Nginx, but runs perfectly on Apache.   • Strange Apache Webdav situation (OSX Will connect, Ubuntu will not)

    So basically my situation is that I have an Apache 2.2 webserver running on Linux on another box, and I have it configured to serve up webdav. Now here's the weird part, I can access the server just fine on my Mac using the "Connect to Server" dialog (even moved like 5GB of files over the connection). On my Ubuntu desktop cadaver will connect as well and allow me to browse. However when I try to use Xmarks (BYOS Edition) or the GNOME "Connect to Server" dialog, it gives me a 403 Forbidden error. My server does digest authentication if that makes any difference.   • Nginx fails upon proxying PUT requests

    Hi. I have an arbitrary web server that supports the full range of HTTP methods, including PUT for uploads. The server runs fine in all tests with different clients. I now wanted to set this server behind an nginx reverse proxy. However, each PUT request fails. The entity body is not forwarded to the backend web server. The header fields are sent, but not body. I searched the nginx proxy documentation and find several hints that PUT might not be supported. But I also found people running svn/ web dav stuff behind nginx, so it should work. Any ideas?     I'm trying to create a Cocoa framework by using a cross-project reference in Xcode. I have 2 projects: one for the framework; one for the application that will use the framework. This framework is not intended to be stored within the system; it is an embedded framework that lives within the application bundle. I have successfully made the cross-project reference, marked the framework as being a dependency of my target, added a Copy Files build phase that puts the framework in Contents/Frameworks/ and added the framework to the linker phase (I checked the little "Target" checkbox; I've also done it manually by dragging the framework into the linker phase). My framework's install directory is correctly set to @executable_path/../Frameworks. However, when I try to build my app it: a) Correctly builds the framework first b) Correctly copies the framework c) Errors because it cannot find the master header file in my framework I have verified that the header is there. I can see it in the app product that is partially built. ls build/Debug/CioccolataTest.webapp/Contents/Frameworks/Cioccolata.framework/Headers/Cioccolata.h build/Debug/CioccolataTest.webapp/Contents/Frameworks/Cioccolata.framework/Headers/Cioccolata.h I have been able to successfully build the app by copying my framework into /Library/Frameworks (I can then delete it again after the successful build), but this is a workaround, I'm looking to find it out why Xcode doesn't find the framework's master header file without it being copied to a system directory. Is copying it to the app bundle during the build not sufficient?     Hi guys, The FAQ, and hginit.com have been really useful for helping me make the transition from svn to hg. However, when it comes to using Hg's subrepository feature in the manner of subversion's externals, I've tried everythign and cannot replicate the nice behavior of svn externals. Here's the simplest example of what I want to do: Init "lib" repository This repository is never to be used as a standalone; it's always included by main repositories, as a sub-repository. Init one or more including repositories To keep the example simple, I'll "init" a repository called "main" Have "main" include "lib" as a subrepository Importantly -- AND HERE'S WHAT I CAN'T GET TO WORK: When I modify a file inside of "main/lib", and I push the modification, then that change gets pushed to the "lib" repository -- NOT to a copy inside of "main". Command lines speak louder than words. I've tried so many variations on this theme, but here's the gist. If someone can reply, in command lines, I'll be forever grateful! 1. Init "lib" repository $ cd /home/moi/hgrepos ## Where I'm storing my hg repositories, on my main server $ hg init lib $ echo "foo" lib/lib.txt $ hg add lib $ hg ci -A -m "Init lib" lib 2. It shows that I've made a modification to a COPY of a file in lib, NOT to a file in the lib repository. If this were working as I'd like it to work, the push would be to hgrepos/lib, NOT to hgrepos/main/lib.     I can not solve the problem with collecting CommitItem(changes that commit), or more accurately, I have no porblem with the changed and added files BUT files that I manually deleted from the file system is not seen in CommitItem list ... And those changes can not commit to the SVN server. If I delete a file using the API, then the problem does not exist... but manually deleting ... Has anyone had a similar problem?
