What's this whole thing called as far as RFCs go, and how does one mimic such resolutions, for testing purposes, e.g. with dig(1)? Else, what other tool is available to accomplish said task?

From the laptop I want to connect via wifi to the PC's wireless router and connect to the ftp server on the PC. is it possible? how do i connect the router to the PC nic and make it broadcast a subnet via wifi for my laptop to connect to? how do i configure an FTP server to operate only on this subnet?

• Heavy write to Galera cluster - table locked, cluster practically unusable

  I set up Galera Cluster on 3 nodes. It works perfectly for reading data. I have done simple application to make some test on the cluster. Unfortunately I have to say that the Cluster fails totally when I try to do some writing. Maybe it can be configured differently or I do sth wrong? Unfortunately - after about 10 seconds sth is going bad. On servers there is process 'query_end' that never ends. After that - you cannot make update on the test table, MySQL returns: ERROR 1205 (HY000): Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction . You cant even restart mysql. What you can do is to restart server, sometimes whole cluster. Is Galera Cluster so unreliable when you do massive concucurrent writing/updates? Hard to believe.

  I have some problems. Nginx doesn't work with SSI. Nginx listens 80 port (frontend), apache2 listens 81 port (backend). I understand that there is EBS to provide a persistent storage and that an image can be booted right from EBS. There are also existing images which are perfect starting points, with Linux installed, so I simply have to 'copy' somehow an existing image to EBS, and configure it there. I would like to make a duplicate of this machine with all setting the same, except the domain would be a slight variation of the current domain (think winnet to winnet2). Would it be easiest to try to clone the hard drive while the machine is running and change the domain on the clone in a different machine or export the data and import it on a different box?

  I need some help on the SimpleXML calls for a recursive function that lists the elements name and attributes. Making a XML config file system but each script will have it's own config file as well as a new naming convention. So what I need is an easy way to map out all the elements that have attributes, so like in example 1 I need a simple way to call all the processes but I don't know how to do this without hard coding the elements name is the function call. Is there a way to recursively call a function to match a child element name? I did see the xpath functionality but I don't see how to use this for attributes. Any ideas? Also does the XML in the examples look correct? can I structure my XML like this? This works, but when I examine the proxy logs the User-Agent string ("WinHTTP AutoProxy Sample/1.0") is not being sent as part of the CONNECT. It is however sent as part of the POST. Could someone please tell me how I can change this code to have the User-Agent header sent during both the CONNECT and POST? Edited to add: we are observing this problem only on Windows 7. If we run the same code on a Windows Vista box, we can see the User-Agent header being sent on CONNECT.

For test.9, I lose 957 milliseconds. What kind of accuracy can I expect? Are my results going to vary by operating system or file system? Suggested workarounds? NOTE: I'm currently running Linux with an XFS filesystem. I wrote a quick program in C and the stat system call shows st_mtime as truncate(xyz...000/1000).

  Hi, I'm developing an Eclipse SWT application using Eclipse. There are also some JUnit 4 tests, which test some DAO's. But when I try to run the tests via an ant build, all of the tests fail, because the test classes aren't found. Google brought up about a million of people who all have the same problem, but none of their solutions seem to work for me -.- . • With NHibernate, how can I create an INHibernateProxy?

  After lots of reading about serialization, I've decided to try to create DTOs. After more reading, I decided to use AutoMapper. What I would like to do is transform the parent (easy enough) and transform the entity properties if they've been initialized, which I've done with ValueResolvers like below (I may try to make it generic once I get it fully working). • Gotchas INSERTing into SQLite on Android?

  Hi friends, I'm trying to set up a simple SQLite database in Android, handling the schema via a subclass of SQLiteOpenHelper. However, when I query my tables, the columns I think I've inserted are never present. Namely, in SQLiteOpenHelper's onCreate(SQLiteDatabase db) method, I use db.execSQL() to run CREATE TABLE commands, then have tried both db.execSQL and db.insert() to run INSERT commands on the tables I've just created. This appears to run fine, but when I try to query them I always get 0 rows returned (for debugging, the queries I'm running are simple SELECT * FROM table and checking the Cursor's getCount()). Anybody run into anything like this before? These commands seem to run on command-line sqlite3. Are they're gotchas that I'm missing (e.g. INSERTS must/must not be semicolon terminated, or some issue involving multiple tables)? I've attached some of the code below. • MVC Entity Framework Model not returning correct data

  Hi, Run into a strange problem while writing an ASP.NET MVC site. I have a view in my SQL Server database that returns a few date ranges. The view works fine when running the query in SSMS. When the view data is returned by the Entity Framework Model, It returns the correct number of rows but some of the rows are duplicated.   After some digging here, I took the advice in this thread: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/371961/how-to-unit-test-c-web-service-with-visual-studio-2008 I've created a separate class and my web service class is just a wrapper for that one. The problem is that when I try to create a unit test project in VS2008, it insists on creating a unit test that acts like I'm testing the web service calls instead of the class I specified. I can't get to the class I'm trying to test. I have a web service "subscription_api.asmx". The code behind is "subscription_api.cs" which contains the web method wrapper calls to the real code at "subscription.cs".
