  • Unattended Install of Zend Server license

    I have a Zend Server 5.6 development license and I wanted to know if there is a way to apply the license during install, rather than via the web interface after it has installed. I ask because I administer our server environment via Rightscale and have automated the creation of the server, however it still requires manual input for the license details. We regularly fire up a staging server to do final tests before pushing to production and it would be great if it were completely hands off.

  • Changing default install path in Windows 7

    I'm trying to change the default install path in Windows 7 Pro x64. I'm in the Registry Editor and in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion key. I know I need to change ProgramFilesDir and ProgramFilesDir (x86). What I'm not sure about is the CommonFilesDir, CommonFilesDir (x86) and the ProgramW6432Dir. Do I need to or should I change these values to reflect the new program files directory I'm using? I tried Googling ProgramW6432Dir and didn't get much help.

  • Copy an existing OS X install from another drive

    I just bought a new solid state drive, and I'd like to copy all of the files and setup from my current Mac OS X hard drive onto it. What is the best way to do this? I have a 1TB external hard drive, my drive backed up on Time Machine, and Snow Leopard on a DMG, but no external mount for the SSD, and no install DVD (it's at my parents house, promise). I'm familiar with the command line and booting up Mac OS X from a hard drive.

    We have a SQL server machine - It’s a VMWare image (running on ESXi hardware etc..) It has windows 2008 x64 standard The SQL install is SQL 2008 standard The virtual machine has 12gb of RAM, and 4 virtual CPU The box is suffering from near 100% CPU a lot of the time I enabled the AWE- but SQL server only seems to use 3-4gb of RAM Is there a way of making it use more available ram more effectively? cache results for example..?

    Hi, I'm currently trying to download a full magneto install from a ftp server. The connection keeps failing, it seems as if there are too many files and folders to scan through? Can anyone shed any light on how to resolve this? The shared platform seems to b e a standard platform based on Plesk 8.6. As this is a shared server, there is no option for me to really do anything, apart from contact the hosting company (who have offered to zip up all the files for me, but this is not ideal)

    I installed MinGW by using mingw-get-inst-20111118.exe and it works but it is very slow! i don't want to install it online, i remember that i have previously installed MinGW and msys by using two files mingw.exe and msys.exe without using the internet and it was great, but now i cant repeat what i have done and i cant find a link to mingw.exe! please i want a simple steps for offline better installation? thanks

Mozilla says the following: Firefox will not run at all without the following libraries or packages: * GTK+ 2.10 or higher * GLib 2.12 or higher * Pango 1.14 or higher * X.Org 1.0 or higher Of course i need to install all these dependencies without root privileges as well, but the thing is i don't know exactly how to do this.     Goal: Install firefox and chrome with a default set of bookmarks on Windows 7 x86. The immediate need is for freshly imaged machines to have bookmarks. So I'm looking for an msi /flag or something to either import bookmarks for a file or import settings from IE. Another possibility it seems is push installers/import actions from GPO on the domain. Seems like this might be best since if stuff changes in the future I can update as needed. I'm open to other options as well.
