  • Understanding the Customer Form in Release 12 from an AR Perspective!!

    - by user793553
    Confused by the Customer Form in Release 12??  Read on, to get some insight into the evolution of this screen, and how it links in with Trading Community Architecture. Historically, the customer data model was owned by Oracle Receivables (AR).  However, as the data model changed and more complex relationships and attributes had to be tracked and monitored, the Trading Community Architecture (TCA) product was created.  All applications within the E-Business suite that require interaction with a customer integrate with TCA. Customer information is no longer stored in the individual applications but rather in a central repository/registry maintained within TCA.  It is important to understand the following entities/concepts stored in TCA: Party: A party is an entity with whom you can have a potential business relationship.  A party can be either a Person or an Organization.  The Party entity is completely independent of any business relationship; this means that a Party can exist even if you have no transactions with it.   The Party is the "umbrella" entity under which you capture all other attributes listed below. Customer: A customer is a party with whom you have an existing business relationship.  From an AR perspective, you can simplify the concepts by thinking of a Customer as a Party. This definition however does not apply to all other applications. In the Oracle Receivables Customer form, the information displayed at the Customer level is from TCA's Party information record. Customer Account (also called Account): An account contains information about how you transact business with a particular customer.  You can create multiple accounts for a customer.  When you create invoices and receipts you associate it to a particular Account of a Customer. Location: A Location is an address.  It is a point in space, typically identified by a street number, a street name, a city, a state or province, a country.  A location is independent of what it is used for - you do not associate a purpose to a location. Party Site: A Party Site is associated to a Party.  It is the location where a party is physically located.  When defining sites for a Party, only one can be an identifying address.  However, you can define other party sites associated to a party. You can define purposes/usage for Party Sites. Account Site: An Account Site is associated to a Customer Account. It is the location associated to the account you are transacting business with. You can define business purposes (also called site uses) for an Account site. • How to upload a file from iPhone SDK to an ASP.NET vb.net web form using ASIFormDataRequest

    - by user289348
    Download http://allseeing-i.com/ASIHTTPRequest/. This works like a charm and is a good wrapper and handles things nicely. The make the request this way to the asp.net code listed below. Create a asp.net webpage that has a file control. IPHONE CODE: NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:@"http://YourWebSite/Upload.aspx"]; ASIFormDataRequest *request = [ASIFormDataRequest requestWithURL:url]; //These two must be added. ASP.NET Looks for them, if //they are not there in the request, the file will not upload [request setPostValue:@"" forKey:@"__VIEWSTATE"]; [request setPostValue:@"" forKey:@"__EVENTVALIDATION"]; [request setFile:@"PATH_TO_Local_File_on_Iphone/file/jpg" forKey:@"fu"]; [request startSynchronous]; This is the website code <%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="Upload.aspx.vb" Inherits="Upload" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <title>Untitled Page</title> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div> <asp:FileUpload ID="fu" runat="server" EnableViewState="False" /> </div> <asp:Button ID="Submit" runat="server" Text="Submit" /> </form> </body> </html> //Code behind page Partial Class Upload Inherits System.Web.UI.Page Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Dim tMarker As New EventMarkers If fu.HasFile = True Then 'fu.PostedFile fu.SaveAs("E:\InetPub\UploadedImage\" & fu.FileName) End If End Sub End Class

  • Customizing Django form widgets? - Django

    - by RadiantHex
    Hi folks, I'm having a little problem here! I have discovered the following as being the globally accepted method for customizing Django admin field. from django import forms from django.utils.safestring import mark_safe class AdminImageWidget(forms.FileInput): """ A ImageField Widget for admin that shows a thumbnail. """ def __init__(self, attrs={}): super(AdminImageWidget, self).__init__(attrs) def render(self, name, value, attrs=None): output = [] if value and hasattr(value, "url"): output.append(('<a target="_blank" href="%s">' '<img src="%s" style="height: 28px;" /></a> ' % (value.url, value.url))) output.append(super(AdminImageWidget, self).render(name, value, attrs)) return mark_safe(u''.join(output)) I need to have access to other field of the model in order to decide how to display the field! For example: If I am keeping track of a value, let us call it "sales". If I wish to customize how sales is displayed depending on another field, let us call it "conversion rate". I have no obvious way of accessing the conversion rate field when overriding the sales widget! Any ideas to work around this would be highly appreciated! Thanks :)

  • Why do I get a connection error / timeout when using python suds to connect to Microsoft CRM?

    - by Chris R
    When I try to connect to an MS CRM web service using suds/python-ntlm, I am getting a timeout on requests. However, the code that I'm trying to replace -- which calls out to the cURL command line app to do the same call -- succeeds. Clearly something is different in the way that cURL is sending the command data, but I'll be damned if I know what the difference is. Below are the full details of the various calls. Anyone got any tips? Here's the code that is making the request, followed by the output. The cURL command code is below that, and its response follows. Hosts, users, and passwords have been changed to protect the innocent, of course. wsdl_url = 'https://client.service.host/MSCrmServices/2007/MetadataService.asmx?WSDL' username = r'domain\user.name' • php, curl , php curl , multipart/form-data , upload picture redirect

    - by Michael
    I'm trying to upload some pictures using php cURL on a classified ad website .I think that I set all the parameters properly but I see that there is a kind of redirect after I post the picture . The issue is that the url where I'm getting redirected gives 404 error instead to return the html that it does when I make the post with a normal browser . here is the php code that I have so far " $URL = "http://api.classistatic.com/api/image/upload"; $s = "PAD001"; $v = "2"; $n = "k"; $a = "1:a126581b8150ddc1337cabce28f2feb53849fd143bd6e42649f90175c0e023e3"; $u = "@/var/www/html/artwork/tmp/!BszBLV!EGk~$(KGrHqEOKicEvMi8HVg(BL5ZbWvs0g~~_1.JPG"; $htmlContent = $baseClass-processPicturerequest($URL, $s, $v, $b, $n, $a, $u); The log from server is as following : http://pastebin.com/gZqPgsFX

  • Unable to retrieve information form HP-UX pst_status object

    - by bogertron
    I am attempting to get process information by using the HP-UX C/C++ library. After scouring the internet, I have discovered that HP-UX has the pstat.h header file which allows programmers to retrieve the process information. After attempting to understand code from the internet hp website, I attempted to create a little test sample to comprehend what the code does. I attempted to use example 3, however, I ran into several issues. The first issue came when I attempted to execute the following line of code: (void)printf("pid is %d, command is %s\n", pst[i].pst_pid, pst[i].pst_ucomm); When I attempted to print the string, I hit a memory fault. So I decided to attempt to see what the string is and came up with the following: #include <sys/param.h> #include <sys/pstat.h> #include <sys/unistd.h> #include <string.h> int main(int argc, char** argv) { #define BURST ((size_t)10) struct pst_status pst[BURST]; int i, count; int idx = 0; /* index within the context */ int index = 0; /* loop until count == 0, will occur all have been returned */ while ((count=pstat_getproc(pst, sizeof(pst[0]),BURST,idx))>0) { index = 0; printf("index: %d", index); /* got count (max of BURST) this time. process them */ while (pst[i].pst_ucomm[index] != '\0') { printf("%c", pst[i].pst_ucomm[index]); index++; } printf("\n"); for (i = 0; i < count; i++) { printf("pid is %d, command is \n", pst[i].pst_pid); } /* * now go back and do it again, using the next index after * the current 'burst' */ idx = pst[count-1].pst_idx + 1; } if (count == -1) perror("pstat_getproc()"); #undef BURST } Unfortunately, what happens is that I get the first process printed, then pid is 2, command is pid is 2, command is pid is 2, command is... I know that I must be doing something foolish since my C/C++ skills are not that great, but I cannot figure out what the issue is since the code is largely copied from the hp website. So here's the question(s) for clarity: 1. Why can't printf("%s", pst[i].pst_ucomm); handle strings? 2. Why can't I iterate over the processes in the system? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Dealing with "Coder's Block" (or blank form syndrome)

    - by robsoft
    I know this is the sort of somewhat open-ended question that we're discouraged from asking, but there are lots of open-ended questions around already, and this is something quite relevant to me right now. Do you ever get those times when you're about to start work on a new function/feature of an established system, and you get "coder's block"?. It's like a mental freeze at the sight of a large, completely unpopulated dialog, or an empty code file with just the stub reference headers etc. Do you ever have that 'ulp' moment that seems to sap all your momentum and leave you wide open to distractions (surfing the web for inspiration, checking out 'crackoverflow' etc)? Not that I'd wish it on anyone, but hopefully some of you do, and hopefully some of you can suggest tips or strategies for overcoming the situation, regaining your momentum and becoming productive again. I usually try to reduce what I'm about to do down to absurdly small steps, in the hope that as the job becomes just a series of 'doh' tasks, I'll kickstart myself into working through them. However sometimes, particularly when a deadline is looming, I'll get overwhelmed by this approach as I realise I probably don't have enough time to do all of those tiny steps properly. Those are the darkest moments, (often literally) just before dawn! This situation can be particularly crippling if you mostly work alone, too. Any thoughts or suggestions? Any methods that you found helpful yourself?

  • How can I create a HTTP POST request with Qt 4.6.1?

    - by Tobias Langner
    How can I create a HTTP POST request with some URL encoded parameters using Qt 4.6.1? I figured out that I can create a QNetworkRequest, set all the parameters there and send it via QNetworkAccessManagers post method. But how can I add some URL-encoded parameters to the request? In the end I want to access the Eve API using Qt/C++. A Python example can be found here: http://www.eveonline.com/api/doc/example-python.asp I managed it using something like (still to be refactored and formed into something useful): QNetworkReply *requestApi(QNetworkAccessManager &nwam) { QNetworkRequest request(QUrl("http://api.eve-online.com/account/Characters.xml.aspx")); request.setHeader(QNetworkRequest::ContentTypeHeader,"application/x-www-form-urlencoded"); QByteArray data; QUrl params; params.addQueryItem("userid","user"); params.addQueryItem("apiKey","key"); data.append(params.toString()); data.remove(0,1); QNetworkReply *reply = nwam.post(request,data); return reply; }

  • Why does this call to jQuery's $.ajax() fire an empty request in Chrome and Firefox?

    - by Martin Wiboe
    Hello, I am trying to call a WCF RESTful service from jQuery. I am using JSON to encode both request and response. The following code functions correctly in IE8: url = 'http://ipv4.fiddler:5683/WeatherWCF/NewBinding/MyService/GetValueFloat'; $.ajax({ url: url, data: '{"alias": "Udetemperatur"}', type: "POST", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "text", // not "json" we'll parse success: function(res) { alert('Received response: ' + res); } }); However, in both Firefox and Chrome, res contains an empty string. After using Fiddler to monitor the request, it appears that jQuery sends an empty request to the server as shown in this screen dump: http://imgur.com/EJgwS.png This is the successful request: http://imgur.com/S77BA.png What am I doing wrong? Kind regards, Martin

    I am currently working on a page that has a date picker for one of the field. One of the requirements by my client is to prevent the user from editing the field manually. Only the date picker would be possible to be used. (jQuery DatePicker) I had in mind to disable the field and use an hidden field to store the data (disabled from object ton send data on post). This sounds a bit wacky for something that could be done by javascript I'm pretty sure. So the big question, in javascript is it possible to prevent manual edition of a field without stopping datepicker plugin?

  • jQuery Validation, multiple form ids for same function

    - by George
    Hi have two forms with the exact same validation rules, but different ids that I'd like to combine into just one function. How can I do that? var validator = $("#ValidateForm1").validate({ errorPlacement: function(error, element) { if ( element.is(":radio") ) error.appendTo( element.parent().next().next() ); else if ( element.is(":checkbox") ) error.appendTo ( element.next() ); else error.appendTo( element.parent().next() ); } }); var validator = $("#validateForm2").validate({ errorPlacement: function(error, element) { if ( element.is(":radio") ) error.appendTo( element.parent().next().next() ); else if ( element.is(":checkbox") ) error.appendTo ( element.next() ); else error.appendTo( element.parent().next() ); } });

  • Uploadify - Passing Information Back to The Original Form

    - by CccTrash
    I have an Send.aspx page that has an uploadify control on it. Upload.ashx handles the file upload. I am adding a file record to a sql database in the Upload.ashx file and I need to get the ID of that record back from Upload.aspx when it is done. Can't get it working with Sessions. =( Something to do with an Adobe bug? What would the best way to handle this be? Here is the uploadify control: <script type="text/javascript"> // <![CDATA[ var contestID = $('[id$=HiddenFieldContestID]').val(); var maxEntries = $('[id$=HiddenFieldMaxEntries]').val(); var userID = $('[id$=HiddenFieldUserID]').val(); $(document).ready(function() { $('#fileInput').uploadify({ 'uploader': '../uploadify/uploadify.swf', 'script': '../uploadify/Upload.ashx', 'scriptData': { 'contestID': contestID, 'maxEntries': maxEntries, 'userID': userID }, 'cancelImg': '../uploadify/cancel.png', 'auto': true, 'multi': false, 'fileDesc': 'Image Files', 'fileExt': '*.jpg;*.png;*.jpeg', 'queueSizeLimit': 1, 'sizeLimit': 4000000, 'buttonText': 'Choose Image', 'folder': '/uploads', 'onAllComplete': function(event, queueID, fileObj, response, data) { document.getElementById('<%= ButtonCleanup.ClientID %>').click(); } }); }); // ]]></script> Edit: See Answer below... • Access <body> tag properties from form found in mediaboxAdvanced lightbox.

    - by Christopher Richa
    I am building my portfolio website simply using HTML, Flash, and the Mootools Javascript framework. I have decided to implement a theme changing feature using Javascript and cookies. When the user clicks on the "Change Theme" link, a mediaboxAdvanced lightbox appears, containing a real-time form which allows you to change the theme on the portfolio. Here's the code for the form: <div id="mb_inline" style="display: none; margin:15px;"> <h3>Change Your Theme</h3> <form> <fieldset> <select id="background_color" name="background_color"> <option value="#dcf589">Original</option> <option value="#000FFF">Blue</option> <option value="#00FF00">Green</option> </select> </fieldset> </form> </div> I know, there is no submit button, but as soon as something is changed in that form, the following Mootools code happens: var themeChanger = new Class( { pageBody : null, themeOptions : null, initialize: function() { this.pageBody = $(document.body); this.themeOptions = $('background_color'); this.themeOptions.addEvent('change', this.change_theme.bindWithEvent(this)); }, change_theme: function(event) { alert("Hello"); } }); window.addEvent('domready', function() { var themeChanger_class = new themeChanger(); }); Now this is only a test function, which should be triggered when the dropdown menu changes. However, it seems that none of it works when the form is in the lightbox! Now if I decide to run the form outside of the lightbox, then it works great! Am I missing something? If you need more examples, I will fill in on demand. Thank you all in advance. -Christopher

  • WebBrowser control not submitting form, IE 7 works

    - by Joel Cunningham
    We are using a WebBrowser control in our win forms application which is running in terminal services. IE 7 is the browser that is installed for the session. We are using WebForms to generate the web pages. If we try and submit a web page in the WebBrowser control it does not work. The submit button does not push down. If we try and submit a web page in IE 7 that is installed on the same machine it works as expected. This is only an issue for one person. The WebBrowser control is working for other users. Any thoughts on how I can debug why the submit button is not submitting for the WebBrowser control? Thanks in advance.

  • Why does ICEfaces send dispose-window request on page unload when using view-scoped bean?

    - by woflrevo
    in our application ICEfaces always sends a dispose-window request just before navigating to another JSF Page. as much as i understand this should not happen when having org.icefaces.lazyWindowScope set to true and there is no window-scoped bean involved in current request. but it happens on each link and makes our UI less responsive. but we don't have any window-scoped bean in our application. is that a bug in icefaces that the dispose request is sent when using view-scoped beans? Is it possible to disable? ViewScope is defined in JSF not in ICEfaces, it should work without this dispose request i guess... @ManagedBean(name="viewScopeBean") @ViewScoped public class ViewScopeBean { public void doSomething(){ // } } And here the example jsf: <ice:form> <ice:commandButton value="doSomething" action="#{viewScopeBean.doSomething}"/> <h:link outcome="index" value="Link to same page"/> </ice:form> To reproduce do the following using the code above: open firebug's net tab and activate persist option click doSomething-Button click "link to same page" = dispose-window will be send before navigation Dispose Request Parameters: ice.submit.type=ice.dispose.window ice.window=4guthcbue javax.faces.ViewState=-8138151632882151449%3A-6709064564386098402 Environment: ICEfaces-EE 2.0.0.GA ICEpush-EE 2.0.0.GA Mojarra 2.1.1 JRockit 1.6.0_22 WebLogic Server 10.3.4.0 ICEfaces Configuration: org.icefaces.render.auto: true [default] org.icefaces.autoid: true [default] org.icefaces.aria.enabled: true [default] org.icefaces.blockUIOnSubmit: false [default] org.icefaces.compressDOM: false [default] org.icefaces.compressResources: true [default] org.icefaces.connectionLostRedirectURI: /pages/main.jsf org.icefaces.deltaSubmit: false [default] org.icefaces.lazyPush: true [default] org.icefaces.sessionExpiredRedirectURI: /pages/main.jsf org.icefaces.standardFormSerialization: false [default] org.icefaces.strictSessionTimeout: false [default] org.icefaces.windowScopeExpiration = 1000 [default] org.icefaces.mandatoryResourceConfiguration: null [default] org.icefaces.uniqueResourceURLs: true [default] org.icefaces.lazyWindowScope: true [default] org.icefaces.disableDefaultErrorPopups: false [default]
