• PDFView printWithInfo:autoRotate: fails

  I'm trying to print a PDFDocument that I am constructing from a series of images. In case it matters, I'm doing all of this from within a Mozilla plugin. I create the PDFDocument, and put it into a PDFView, then I call [printView printWithInfo: [NSPrintInfo sharedPrintInfo] autoRotate: YES]; The print dialog comes up (as a separate window, instead of panel. I assume that that comes from being inside a mozilla window, so I wasn't too worried about it. The dialog shows my document, and I can page through it correctly, and everything looks good. However, when I hit "Print" the dropdown with "Layout" etc becomes empty, and the view under that becomes empty. The window doesn't disappear, and the document doesn't print. Hitting Cancel does exactly the same thing. The only thing I can do then is force-quit Mozillla. I based the program off of PDFKitLinker2 from the apple dev site, and that program works. But I can't see any significant differences between it and my version. Any suggestions on where to look? thanks. EDIT: Yes, I know that this is pretty much an exact duplicate of http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2058501/printing-off-screen-pdfviews but that never got a sufficient answer... (And I didn't notice it until just now...)

• Django: Complex filter parameters or...?

  This question is connected to my other question but I changed the logic a bit. I have models like this: from django.contrib.auth.models import Group class Category(models.Model): (...) editors = ForeignKey(Group) class Entry(models.Model): (...) category = ForeignKey(Category) Now let's say User logs into admin panel and wants to change an Entry. How do I limit the list of Entries only to those, he has the right to edit? I mean: How can I list only those Entries which are assigned to a Category that in its "editors" field has one of the groups the User belongs to? What if User belongs to several groups? I still need to show all relevant Entries. I tried experimenting with changelist_view() and queryset() methods but this problem is a bit too complex for me. I'm also wondering if granular-permissions could help me with the task, but for now I have no clue. I came up only with this: First I get the list of all Groups the User belongs to. Then for each Group I get all connected Categories and then for each Category I get all Entries that belong to these Categories. Unfortunately I have no idea how to stitch everything together as filter() parameters to produce a nice single QuerySet.

  hi, I have a page and on that page i have a button and a user control. I want to refresh the user control without refreshing the page. I know i cannot do it otherwise so i did is... • Datetime Format Setting In SSRS

  We have a requirement where date time values would be passed to the report parameter which is of "String" date type (and not "DateTime"). The report parameter would be a queried one i.e. it would have a list of values in which the passed value should fall in. The strange part is that if the date time value passed to this parameter is passed in this format mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss AM/PM then only it succeeds otherwise a error is displayed (If month/date/hour/minute/second is having a single digit value then we need to pass single digit value to parameter as well). Assuming that the report server picks this format from the "regional settings" in control panel, we tried modifying the date & time formats as yyyy-mm-dd & HH:mm:ss but the outcome was the same. On researching more I found some suggestions specifying to change the language property in the rdl (I was not able to figure out how) but this would not be the solution I am looking for. I also found another topic here but it didn't provide the solution but it didn't provide the solution we are looking for. I need to understand on if this format is controlled by the report server & is it configurable. It would be great if someone can provide some guidance. Thanks.

  Hi , It's 3 days I'm trying to install SqlServer 2005 under Windows 7 64 bit on my machine . First let me tell you what I've done and what I've got till now . 1-I Installed Windows 7 64 Bit on my computer 2-I tried to install SQl Server 2005 "Developer Edition" 2.1 But in "System Configuration Check" Page i recieved 2 warning , One for "IIS Feature Requirement" and another for "ASP.NET Version Registration Rquired" . 2.1.1 . I installed "Internet Information Services" from "Turn Windows features on or off" section in control panel 2.1.2 I Enabled reporting service 32 bit from "Inetpub= AdminScripts = adsutil.vbs 2.2 At this stage There was no waring in System Configuration Check 3- So I installed SQl Server 2005 Developer Edition By all default settings 4- I installed Sql Server 2005 Service Pack 3 64 bit Now when when i run "Management Studio" There is no name in "Server name" section . I typed my Computer name Or "." and i got this Error : A network -related instance-specific error occurred while establishinga connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (Provider: Named Pipes Provider , error :40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server ) ( Microsoft SQL Server , Error :2) . I googled some for this Error and some people said follow this instruction: Startsql server 2005Configuration toolsSql Server Surface Configuration AreaSurface Area Configuration for services and Connections But i got this Error : No SQl SErver 2005 Components were found on the specified computer . Either no components are installed , or you are not a administrator on this computer (SQLSAC) I'm really tired because of that , and i don't know what's wrong with this . Some more information : I have no additonal software on my computer , like Antivirus or Proxy I tried all step with "Standard Edition" either , but no difference My user is Administrator I tried more than 5 times all those steps including re-installing Windows 7 . Please help me , I'm losing all my hair

  I am creating a form designer. It will generate PHP code which will produce an HTML form. Users will fill in fields and the PHP will store user input in a MySql database (and, of course, they can use the designer to generate forms which query the database). I am using Borland C++ Builder (very similar to Delphi & and you can get the same idea from VB, MSVC, Qt ... any IDE with a RAD GUI designer). Looking at the W3C page http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_forms.asp it seems that the components I can use for my form and retrieve data from are - edit box / TEdit / <input type="text" - memo / TMemo / <input type="textarea" - check box / TCheckBox / <input type="CheckBox" - Combo box / TComboBox / <select ... <option... - Radio group / TRadioGroup / <input type="radio" - Group box / TGroupBox / <fieldset ... <legend ... - Panel / TPanel / <fieldset ... I am unsure whether to allow button / TButton/ input type="button" - other than a single submit button which my form designer program automatically adds to the end of the generated form. But my real question is - did I miss any? It might be nice to have masked edit which only accepts numbers, or maybe some form of "spin control" (TUpDown, or slider + linked read only TEdit), so that the user can click & hold to increment/decrement an integer value. And a calendar component would be nice. Very important: I want to implement it all server-side in PHP, so no client-side JS or Ajax or the likes. If there anything else that I can add to make my generated forms look more impressive in the browser?

• C# Wholesale Order form - textboxes in Gridviews in Repeater

  I'm building a wholesale order form on a website. The current plan is to... -get an ArrayList of DepartmentUnits -a DepartmentUnit has various attributes like "deptId", "description" and its own ArrayList of StoreItems -The StoreItems have attached ArrayList of various SizeOptions -The SizeOptions have an inventory count integer along with their description -Planning on putting an asp:Repeater on the page that has an asp:GridView in it -Each DepartmentUnit will have its own GridView -EachStore item will have a row in the GridView -Each SizeOption will have a TextBox in the row (approximately 10 options) -Each inventory count will be watermarked over the size option textbox The question becomes how will I then collect all this information correctly once the form has been filled out? I don't like the idea of putting all this information in an update panel and then posting back each time a GridView row or worse one of the row's textboxes changes. Any advice on putting a single save button on the page and looping through each Repeater item - and each GridViewRow - and each textbox - to get all the values entered? Better to try collecting all the items added in a single table at the bottom of the page and updating the string with jquery each time a text box is modified? Then just looping through the new table when saved? Not sure I know how to loop through that table though - updating if quantity is changed might be a bear too. If it considerably simplifies the process I could just remove the Repeater aspect and put separate GridViews on separate pages. Thanks!

GoDaddy allows you to setup a 404 in their control panel, but I can't override this, or setup any additional error redirects, specifically a 500-server error.   I'm getting the following error when trying to connect to a remote mysql server. Request for the permission of type 'System.Data.Odbc.OdbcPermission, System.Data, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. I've installed the odbc 5.1 driver, and can connect to the database using the Data Sources (ODBC) tool in Control Panel. However when I try and run my C# scrip to connect, I get the above error. I've read its something to do with trust levels or something? I don't quite understand what people were talking about though. I went to C:... Framework/v2.0.50727/CONFIG and added to the medium and high trust.config files, but that didn't help.. Can someone help me out here please? • How to set "Run this program as an administrator" programatically.

  I'm having a problem with good ol' bdeadmin.exe in Vista. First, let's get the predictable responses out of the way: "You should not require your application to be elevated." This one does. C'est la vie. "You need to embed a manifest file." It is already compiled, it is many years old, the company that created it has no intention of doing it again, and it is installed from a Merge Module (MSM file). "BDE is obsolete, you should be using dbExpress" One and a half million lines of code. 'Nuff said. "Drop a manifest file next to the EXE." Tried that, did nothing. As a test, that same manifest file was able to make several other EXE files require elevation, just not the one I wanted. Something in there is preventing the external manifest from being read. "Create a shortcut and set SLDF_RUNAS_USER." Can't do that, it's a Control Panel applet. The only thing that worked was setting "Run this program as an administrator" under the Compatibility tab of its Properties window. I shouldn't have to tell users to do this. Bad for business. I need to have the installer do this. The MSM file uses a static path. Any ideas?

• C# winforms: graphics.DrawImage problem

  Hi, I have a really strange problem with Graphics.DrawImage method. I have the PictureBox control in the Panel control with AllowScroll property = true. The program cuts the image on small parts basing on the area selected by the user. I load the image 300x547 and select the area (the red rectangle): program properly cuts the image: then, I load another image 427x640: and then, as the result I see that the image is not cut properly. Each img.jpg file has properly width & height but the drawn image is too small: here's the code snippet - it saves the bitmap area selected by the user: Bitmap bmp = new Bitmap(selectedAreaRECT.Width, selectedAreaRECT.Height); Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage(bmp); g.DrawImage(OriginalIMG, 0,0, selectedAreaRECT, GraphicsUnit.Pixel); g.Save(); g.Dispose(); bmp.Save(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory + @"\Temp\" + "img1.jpg", System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Jpeg); As You see, the code is the same for the img1.jpg from image A and from Image B. • DateChooser is behaving strangly

  Hi, I'm writing a Flex application and I came accross what I think is a weird problem. I want to create a text box and a DateChooser as the datefield didn't do what I wanted and it's Halo so I can't skin it easily. I want the DateChooser to show when I click on the text input. Here is except from my code: <s:TextInput id="wholeDate" width="100" mouseOver="stopChangeToNormal();" paddingRight="10" click="date1.visible = true" focusOut="date1.visible = false"/> <s:Button label="Go" width="70" /> </s:Panel> <mx:DateChooser id="date1" visible = "false" change="useDate(event);" mouseOver="changeToNormalState = false;" y="{wholeDate.y + buttonsGroup.y + 20}" x="{wholeDate.x + buttonsGroup.x - 175 }" /> The weird thing is that it work as I wanted if I make it visible = "true" to start but if I have it visible="false" it doesn't work! it shows by the date I select doesn't show in the box as it does if I have it as visible="true" but I don't want it to be visible initially.   What do I have to do to get the inner TextBlock below to wrap its text without defining an absolute width? I've tried Width=Auto, Stretch, TextWrapping, putting it in a StackPanel, nothing seems to work. Both RACountryPanels and RAFieldVO are second level cached. If I check the 2nd level cache content I can see that it cointains the RAFields and the RACountryPanels as well and I can see the select .. from CTRY where ctry_cd_id=... in query cache region as well. When I call the servlet it seems that it is using the cache, but second time not. If I check the content of the cache using JMX, everything seems to be ok, but when I measure the object access time, it seems that it does not always use the cache. Cheers Zoltan
