  • JBossMQ - Clustered Queues/NameNotFoundException: QueueConnectionFactory error

    - by mfarver
I am trying to get an application working on a JBoss Cluster. It uses Queues internally, and the developer claims that it should work correctly in a clustered environment. I have jbossmq setup as a ha-singleton on the cluster. The application works correctly on whichever node currently is running the queue, but fails on the other nodes with a: "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: QueueConnectionFactory not bound" error. I can look at JNDIview from the jmx-console and see that indeed the QueueConnectionFactory class only appears on the primary node in the Global context. Is there a way to see the Cluster's JNDI listing instead of each server? The steps I took from a default Jboss 4.2.3.GA installation were to use the "all" configuration. Then removed /server/all/deploy/hsqldb-ds.xml and /deploy-hasingleton/jms/hsqldb-jdbc2-service.xml, copying the example/jms/mysq-jdbc2-service.xml file into its place (editing that file to use DefaultDS instead of MySqlDS). Finally I created a mysql-ds.xml file in the deploy directory pointing "DefaultDS" at an empty database. I created a -services.xml file in the deploy directory with the queue definition. like the one below: <server> <mbean code="org.jboss.mq.server.jmx.Queue" name="jboss.mq.destination:service=Queue,name=myfirstqueue"> <depends optional-attribute-name="DestinationManager"> jboss.mq:service=DestinationManager </depends> </mbean> </server> All of the other cluster features of working, the servers list each other in the view, and sessions are replicating back and forth. The JBoss documentation is somewhat light in this area, is there another setting I might have missed? Or is this likely to be a code issue (is there different code to do a JNDI lookup in a clusted environment?) Thanks

  • Configuring OpenLDAP as a Active Directory Proxy

    - by vadensumbra
We try to set up an Active Directory server for company-wide authentication. Some of the servers that should authenticate against the AD are placed in a DMZ, so we thought of using a LDAP-server as a proxy, so that only 1 server in the DMZ has to connect to the LAN where the AD-server is placed). With some googling it was no problem to configure the slapd (see slapd.conf below) and it seemed to work when using the ldapsearch tool, so we tried to use it in apache2 htaccess to authenticate the user over the LDAP-proxy. And here comes the problem: We found out the username in the AD is stored in the attribute 'sAMAccountName' so we configured it in .htaccess (see below) but the login didn't work. In the syslog we found out that the filter for the ldapsearch was not (like it should be) '(&(objectClass=*)(sAMAccountName=authtest01))' but '(&(objectClass=*)(?=undefined))' which we found out is slapd's way to show that the attribute do not exists or the value is syntactically wrong for this attribute. We thought of a missing schema and found the microsoft.schema (and the .std / .ext ones of it) and tried to include them in the slapd.conf. Which does not work. We found no working schemata so we just picked out the part about the sAMAccountName and build a microsoft.minimal.schema (see below) that we included. Now we get the more precise log in the syslog: Jun 16 13:32:04 breauthsrv01 slapd[21229]: get_ava: illegal value for attributeType sAMAccountName Jun 16 13:32:04 breauthsrv01 slapd[21229]: conn=0 op=1 SRCH base="ou=oraise,dc=int,dc=oraise,dc=de" scope=2 deref=3 filter="(&(objectClass=\*)(?sAMAccountName=authtest01))" Jun 16 13:32:04 breauthsrv01 slapd[21229]: conn=0 op=1 SRCH attr=sAMAccountName Jun 16 13:32:04 breauthsrv01 slapd[21229]: conn=0 op=1 SEARCH RESULT tag=101 err=0 nentries=0 text= Using our Apache htaccess directly with the AD via LDAP works though. • ISAPI filter with LDAP over SSL only works as administrator

    - by Zac
I have created an ISAPI filter for IIS 6.0 that tries to authenticate against Active directory using LDAP. The filter works fine when authenticating regularly over port 389, but when I try to use SSL, I always get the 0x51 Server Down error at the ldap_connect() call. Even skipping the connect call and using ldap_simple_bind_s() results in the same error. The weird thing is that if I change the app pool identity to the local admin account, then the filter works fine and LDAP over SSL is successful. I created an exe with the same code below and ran it on the server as admin and it works. Using the default NETWORK SERVICE identity for the site's app pool is what seems to be the problem. Any thoughts as to what is happening? I want to use the default identity since I don't want the website to have elevated admin privileges. The server is in a DMZ outside the network and domain where our DCs are that run AD. We have a valid certificate on our DCs for AD as well. Code: // Initialize LDAP connection LDAP * ldap = ldap_sslinit(servers, LDAP_SSL_PORT, 1); ULONG version = LDAP_VERSION3; if (ldap == NULL) { strcpy(error_msg, ldap_err2string(LdapGetLastError())); valid_user = false; } else { // Set LDAP options ldap_set_option(ldap, LDAP_OPT_PROTOCOL_VERSION, (void *) &version); ldap_set_option(ldap, LDAP_OPT_SSL, LDAP_OPT_ON); // Make the connection ldap_response = ldap_connect(ldap, NULL); // <-- Error occurs here! // Bind and continue... } UPDATE: I created a new user without admin privileges and ran the test exe as the new user and I got the same Server Down error. I added the user to the Administrators group and got the same error as well. The only user that seems to work with LDAP over SSL authentication on this particular server is administrator. The web server with the ISAPI filter (and where I've been running the test exe) is running Windows Server 2003. The DCs with AD on them are running 2008 R2. Also worth mentioning, we have a WordPress site on the same server that authenticates against LDAP over SSL using PHP (OpenLDAP) and there's no problem there. I have an ldap.conf file that specifies TLS_REQCERT never and the user running the PHP code is IUSR.

  • jboss 5.1 mysql connection pooling

    - by boyd4715
I am using JBOSS 5.1.0.GA, MySQL 5.5 and Hibernate 3.3.1 GA (included with JBOSS) + Spring. My question is do I need to add c3p0 as a data source in my spring/hibernate configuration for connection pooling or are the setting in the JBOSS mysql-ds.xml setting enough. My mysql-ds.xml is the following: <datasources> <local-tx-datasource> <jndi-name>MySqlDS</jndi-name> <connection-url>jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/ecotrak</connection-url> <driver-class>com.mysql.jdbc.Driver</driver-class> <user-name>ecotrak</user-name> <password>ecotrak</password> <min-pool-size>5</min-pool-size> <max-pool-size>20</max-pool-size> <idle-timeout-minutes>5</idle-timeout-minutes> <exception-sorter-class-name>org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.vendor.MySQLExceptionSorter</exception-sorter-class-name> <!-- should only be used on drivers after 3.22.1 with "ping" support --> <valid-connection-checker-class-name>org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.vendor.MySQLValidConnectionChecker</valid-connection-checker-class-name> <!-- sql to call when connection is created <new-connection-sql>some arbitrary sql</new-connection-sql> --> <!-- sql to call on an existing pooled connection when it is obtained from pool - MySQLValidConnectionChecker is preferred for newer drivers <check-valid-connection-sql>some arbitrary sql</check-valid-connection-sql> --> <!-- corresponding type-mapping in the standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml (optional) --> <metadata> <type-mapping>mySQL</type-mapping> </metadata> </local-tx-datasource> </datasources>

  • NFSv4 "Too many levels of symbolic links" error

    - by user1434058
Both machines are running Ubuntu 12.04 Remote NFSv4 Client $ ls /mnt/storage/aaaaaaa_aaa/bbbb/cccc_ccccc gives this error: ls: reading directory .: Too many levels of symbolic links How can I fix this? • Can't find windows 2000 domain after PDC Change

    - by Mark A Kruger
This is a windows 2000 domain issue. I had an old win2000 PDC that was beginning to fail. So, trying to be pre-emptive, I installed a new BDC, then "demoted" the old PDC and took it off the network. Now it appears that no member server can "find" the domain anymore. No logins work (for services or a RDP or anything). What I've tried (based on googling): Verified sysvol is shared on all servers. Used nslookup to verify that DC's are being found. netdiag /fix meta data cleanup routines. verified no firewall issues (port 389 etc) seizing all roles to new PDC (I did that as part of the original promotion). LMHOST file and Netbios settings. At the moment it seems like I can get the DC's returned but cannot contact them. I'm at a loss. My latest attempt was to remove a member server from the domain and try to "re-add" it. When I do that I get this message: The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.cfwebtools.com The following domain controllers were identified by the query: db-dev1.cfwebtools.com file-prod1.cfwebtools.com cfwt-pdc2.cfwebtools.com However no domain controllers could be contacted. It then goes on to ask if I've checked my A record and made sure they are running. Is there a way to force this domain to be seen? I also shared sysvol (or double checked it) and restarted the dfsr service. More information. I got looking at sysvol and found it was not shared on 2 of these servers. Only one of them (db-dev1) has a "good" or at least "populated" sys vol store. So I tried doing a "d2" recovery of my PDC against that good sysvol. But it never synchs - or at least it does not seem to synch. I'm guessing if I could get sysvol and netlogin to kick in and replicate that would fix my issue. I think these DC's aren't responding because they are waiting for replication which is broken somehow. Would taking down all the DC's except for db-dev1 fix the issue - at least temporarily? I know I can't just copy the sysvol stuff over to the other 2 can I?

  • Datastage 8.7 installs fine on Window7 without any errors but it can not launch localhost:9080 web console

    - by user265273
When I launch the web console, I get page can not be displayed error. What I have tried so far: I have re-installed DS about 7 times, and each time, I get same errors. I added entries in etc/hosts file for local host and my host name. I have turned off firewall. My hardware/software setup. My host system is window8.1. My vmware workstation is 7. The guest os is windows 7 enterprise x64. I have installed 10g, and given dba role to public. I have installed VS 5, and ms visual c++ 2010 express. I have installed msxml. IE version is 10. Firewall is off. My internet works fine It passed all the DS requirement tests and install completed successfully. When I launch my vmware guest instance, I do get SQL5000c error upon boot which I have tried to ignore in some installs and in some, I used db2systray -clean command to get rid of it. But that has not helped solve the webconsole connect failure to my host. I have spent over 2 weeks exclusively on this issue and badly need some help.

  • Hot to fix nautilus desktop on linux mint

    - by user59530
so I'm using Linux Mint 13 with Cinnamon and suddenly there are no icons on the desktop and the right click doesn't work, it's like the desktop doesn't start up at all, but the Cinnamon interface and everything else are working just fine. This happens only when I open the session with Cinnamon, if I start the session on the classic Gnome or MATE the desktop works. I tried to re-install Cinnamon but nothing changed. Then, I noticed that there are some little problems in Nautilus (sometimes menus aren't the color they're supposed to be), so I'm convinced that Nautilus might be the problem, but I don't know how to fix this, I've tried a few thing but I'm starting to fear that I'm only making it worse. Also, when I open the terminal and type in nautilus here's what's shows up, any help? (nautilus:2906): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme parsing error: gtk-widgets.css:85:17: Not using units is deprecated. • getting Error while set up the connection pool in jboss

    - by Yashwant Chavan
Hi as per following Connection pool configuration facing some issue. Place a copy of mysql-connector-java-[version]-bin.jar in $JBOSS_HOME/server/all/lib. Then, follow the example configuration file named mysql-ds.xml in the $JBOSS_HOME/docs/examples/jca directory that comes with a JBoss binary installation. To activate your DataSource, place an xml file that follows the format of mysql-ds.xml in the deploy subdirectory in either $JBOSS_HOME/server/all, $JBOSS_HOME/server/default, or $JBOSS_HOME/server/[yourconfig] as appropriate. I am getting following error resource-ref: jdbc/buinessCaliberDb has no valid JNDI binding. Check the jboss-web/resource-ref. This is my mysql-ds.xml <datasources> <local-tx-datasource> <jndi-name>jdbc/buinessCaliberDb</jndi-name> <connection-url>jdbc:mysql:///BUSINESS</connection-url> <driver-class>com.mysql.jdbc.Driver</driver-class> <user-name>root</user-name> <password>password</password> <exception-sorter-class-name>org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.vendor.MySQLExceptionSorter</exception-sorter-class-name> <!-- should only be used on drivers after 3.22.1 with "ping" support <valid-connection-checker-class-name>org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.vendor.MySQLValidConnectionChecker</valid-connection-checker-class-name> --> <!-- sql to call when connection is created <new-connection-sql>some arbitrary sql</new-connection-sql> --> <!-- sql to call on an existing pooled connection when it is obtained from pool - MySQLValidConnectionChecker is preferred for newer drivers <check-valid-connection-sql>some arbitrary sql</check-valid-connection-sql> --> <!-- corresponding type-mapping in the standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml (optional) --> <metadata> <type-mapping>mySQL</type-mapping> </metadata> </local-tx-datasource> </datasources> and this my web.xml entry <resource-ref> <description>DB Connection</description> <res-ref-name>jdbc/buinessCaliberDb</res-ref-name> <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type> <res-auth>Container</res-auth> </resource-ref> and this jboss-web.xml entry <jboss-web> <resource-ref> <description>DB Connection</description> <res-ref-name>jdbc/buinessCaliberDb</res-ref-name> <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type> <res-auth>Container</res-auth> </resource-ref> </jboss-web> Please help

  • Ado.net Fill method not throwing error on running a Stored Procedure that does not exist.

    - by Mike
I am using a combination of the Enterprise library and the original Fill method of ADO. This is because I need to open and close the command connection myself as I am capture the event Info Message Here is my code so far // Set Up Command SqlDatabase db = new SqlDatabase(ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings[ConnectionName].ConnectionString); SqlCommand command = db.GetStoredProcCommand(StoredProcName) as SqlCommand; command.Connection = db.CreateConnection() as SqlConnection; // Set Up Events for Logging command.StatementCompleted += new StatementCompletedEventHandler(command_StatementCompleted); command.Connection.FireInfoMessageEventOnUserErrors = true; command.Connection.InfoMessage += new SqlInfoMessageEventHandler(Connection_InfoMessage); // Add Parameters foreach (Parameter parameter in Parameters) { db.AddInParameter(command, parameter.Name, (System.Data.DbType)Enum.Parse(typeof(System.Data.DbType), parameter.Type), parameter.Value); } // Use the Old Style fill to keep the connection Open througout the population // and manage the Statement Complete and InfoMessage events SqlDataAdapter da = new SqlDataAdapter(command); DataSet ds = new DataSet(); // Open Connection command.Connection.Open(); // Populate da.Fill(ds); // Dispose of the adapter if (da != null) { da.Dispose(); } // If you do not explicitly close the connection here, it will leak! if (command.Connection.State == ConnectionState.Open) { command.Connection.Close(); } ... Now if I pass into the variable StoredProcName = "ThisProcDoesNotExists" And run this peice of code. The CreateCommand nor da.Fill through an error message. Why is this. The only way I can tell it did not run was that it returns a dataset with 0 tables in it. But when investigating the error it is not appearant that the procedure does not exist. EDIT Upon further investigation command.Connection.FireInfoMessageEventOnUserErrors = true; is causeing the error to be surpressed into the InfoMessage Event From BOL When you set FireInfoMessageEventOnUserErrors to true, errors that were previously treated as exceptions are now handled as InfoMessage events. All events fire immediately and are handled by the event handler. If is FireInfoMessageEventOnUserErrors is set to false, then InfoMessage events are handled at the end of the procedure. What I want is each print statement from Sql to create a new log record. Setting this property to false combines it as one big string. So if I leave the property set to true, now the question is can I discern a print message from an Error ANOTHER EDIT So now I have the code so that the flag is set to true and checking the error number in the method void Connection_InfoMessage(object sender, SqlInfoMessageEventArgs e) { // These are not really errors unless the Number >0 // if Number = 0 that is a print message foreach (SqlError sql in e.Errors) { if (sql.Number == 0) { Logger.WriteInfo("Sql Message",sql.Message); } else { // Whatever this was it was an error throw new DataException(String.Format("Message={0},Line={1},Number={2},State{3}", sql.Message, sql.LineNumber, sql.Number, sql.State)); } } } The issue now that when I throw the error it does not bubble up to the statement that made the call or even the error handler that is above that. It just bombs out on that line The populate looks like // Populate try { da.Fill(ds); } catch (Exception e) { throw new Exception(e.Message, e); } Now even though I see the calling codes and methods still in the Call Stack, this exception does not seem to bubble up?

  • Ctrl F5 exception and ignored on F5

    - by user575219
I am getting this unhandled exception error shown: See screen shot. I am getting this error only when I run with Ctrl+ F5 and not in F5(debug mode). Not sure if this is helpful,my computer is a windows 7- 64bit and running a 32 bit build According to this discussion: How can I get WinForms to stop silently ignoring unhandled exceptions?, Adding Application.SetUnhandledExceptionMode(UnhandledExceptionMode.ThrowException) iwll cause Windows to ignore the error. EDIT: frmPlant_Load Event public partial class frmPlant : Form { DatabaseConnection _DbConnection = new DatabaseConnection(); string conString = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["RVESTConnString"].ConnectionString; SQLQueries _SQlQueries = new SQLQueries(); DataSet ds; SQLiteDataAdapter da; static DataTable gdt; int gSelectedPlant; string gSelectedPlantName = ""; bool ignoreSelChg = false; bool DataDirty = false; public frmPlant() { InitializeComponent(); } public frmPlant(int sSelectedPlant) { InitializeComponent(); } private void frmPlant_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { ds = FillData(); gdt = ds.Tables[0]; bindingSource1.DataSource = gdt; dataGridView1.DataSource = bindingSource1; gSelectedPlant = StaticClass.GlobalValue; dataGridView1.AutoGenerateColumns = true; dataGridView1.Columns["PlantId"].Visible = false; dataGridView1.Columns["NSSS_Design"].Width = 70; } private DataSet FillData() { ignoreSelChg = true; SQLiteConnection con = new SQLiteConnection(conString); DataSet dPlant; try { con.Open(); SQLiteCommand cmd = new SQLiteCommand("select * from Plant", con); da = new SQLiteDataAdapter("select * from Plant", con); dPlant = new DataSet(); da.Fill(dPlant, "plant"); } catch (Exception ex) { throw ex; } finally { con.Close(); } return dPlant; } I should also add another concern: When I say continue here in the dialog, it works fine but leaves a background process running. I have to manually go and kill it in the task manager Question: Suppose I add this line in the Program.cs, will it ignore ANY- even genuine errors which need to be fixed? More Code: This dialog pops up on button click on the second screen- Initial Setup screen . The first being a splash screen. Initial setup takes me to the Plant form Here's the code for the initial setup screen public partial class frmInitialSetUp : Form { public frmInitialSetUp() { InitializeComponent(); } private void btnOK_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { Program.fPlant = new frmPlant(); Program.fPlant.Show(); this.Hide(); } private void frmInitialSetUp_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { Program.LoadAllForms(); } } } Program.cs static public void LoadAllForms() { try { Program.fInitialSetUp = new frmInitialSetUp(); Program.fPlant = new frmPlant(); Program.frm*** = new frm***(); Program.frm*** = new frm***(); Program.frm*** = new frm***(); } catch (Exception ex) { throw ex; } } On button click on the

  • Entity Framework SaveChanges error details

    - by Marek Karbarz
When saving changes with SaveChanges on a data context is there a way to determine which Entity causes an error? For example, sometimes I'll forget to assign a date to a non-nullable date field and get "Invalid Date Range" error, but I get no information about which entity or which field it's caused by (I can usually track it down by painstakingly going through all my objects, but it's very time consuming). Stack trace is pretty useless as it only shows me an error at the SaveChanges call without any additional information as to where exactly it happened. Note that I'm not looking to solve any particular problem I have now, I would just like to know in general if there's a way to tell which entity/field is causing a problem. Quick sample of a stack trace as an example - in this case an error happened because CreatedOn date was not set on IAComment entity, however it's impossible to tell from this error/stack trace [SqlTypeException: SqlDateTime overflow. • How to bulk insert a CSV file into SQLite C#

    - by Lirik
I have seen similar questions (1, 2), but none of them discuss how to insert CSV files into SQLite. About the only thing I could think of doing is to use a CSVDataAdapter and fill the SQLiteDataSet, then use the SQLiteDataSet to update the tables in the database: The only DataAdapter for CSV files I found is not actually available: CSVDataAdapter CSVda = new CSVDataAdapter(@"c:\MyFile.csv"); CSVda.HasHeaderRow = true; DataSet ds = new DataSet(); // <-- Use an SQLiteDataSet instead CSVda.Fill(ds); To write to a CSV file: CSVDataAdapter CSVda = new CSVDataAdapter(@"c:\MyFile.csv"); bool InclHeader = true; CSVda.Update(MyDataSet,"MyTable",InclHeader); I found the above code @ http://devintelligence.com/2005/02/dataadapter-for-csv-files/ The CSVDataAdapter was supposed to come with OpenNetCF's SDF, but it doesn't seem to be available anymore. Does anybody know where I can get a CSVDataAdapter? Perhaps somebody knows the much simpler thing: how to do bulk inserts of CSV files into SQLite... your help would be greatly appreciated!

  • <rich:datatable> and <rich:datascroller> problem

    - by Bariscan
Hi all, I am developing a Seam-Jsfv1.2-EJB3 web app. I have a datatable and checkboxes in each row. Moreover, I have a datascroller at the bottom of my table as well. My problem is when I click the next page number from the scroller, the selected checkboxes at the first page of the datatable is gone. I mean, even if they were selected, clicking the next page make them deselected. I see it by going back to the first page again by clicking the scroller. Do you have any idea about that problem? In order to clearify my case, I attached my code below: <rich:dataTable id="apiV2ProductList" rows="10" var="_apiV2Product" value="#{apiV2ProductList.resultList}" rendered="#{not empty apiV2ProductList.resultList}" reRender="ds"> <rich:column> <f:facet name="header"> <h:selectBooleanCheckbox id="selectionCheckAll" onclick="selectAll()" /> </f:facet> <h:selectBooleanCheckbox id="selectionCheck" onclick="increase(this)" value="#{_apiV2Product.selectValue}" > </h:selectBooleanCheckbox> </rich:column> ... <f:facet name="footer"> <rich:datascroller id="ds" renderIfSinglePage="false"> </rich:datascroller> </f:facet> Many thanks in advance. Baris
