• Creating content input form with custom theme (Drupal)

  I'm creating a site which I want to place content input form in custom themed template. I opted to do this because I wanted the whole site to be looked uniform. That said, I'm not sure as to what is the best approach to do this. Is it proper to invoke hook_insert/delete/update and hook_perm/hook_access by myself or is there anyway I can still use my custom theme and write a code in a way that drupal would take care of invoking appropriate hooks accordingly? • Events on controls in web server control

  Hi All, I'm creating a web server control that has an image button on it. The html for the control is done in the RenderControls of the code, the control devrives from WebControl, IScriptControl, INamingContainer. The button is coded as follow in the RenderControls: System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageButton img = new System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageButton(); img.ImageUrl = "Url of the image"; img.Click += new ImageClickEventHandler(img_Click); img.ID = this.ClientID + "_img"; img.CausesValidation = false; imgLock.RenderControl(output); The button apreas in the browser but when i click on it, the page postsback but the event handler for the button doesn't get fired, from what i can figure out, since the control goes throught RenderControls eachtime the page is posted back, the button gets redrawn and the event handling disapears. This server control is in a master page. Anyone can help me on this? Thanks

I even tried doing: myElement.onclick = SomeFunction; // but this won't allow arguments I know I can create a string and use eval() and that does work, but I don't like eval(). Any ideas??? btw: This is a simple example to replicate the problem, and not actual code.

• IIS 404 custom error

  I've deployed an ASP.NET 3.5 app to a 64bit Windows 2003 R2 server. In the web.config I have the following <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="/404/"> <error statusCode="404" redirect="/404/"/> <error statusCode="500" redirect="/500/"/> </customErrors> In the website properties in IIS Manager I have set the 404 and 500 errors to Type = "URL" and the same URLs as in the web.config. I have a wildcard application map to the .NET 2.0 aspnet_isapi.dll with "Verify file exists" turned off. If I try to hit a fake .aspx file I successfully get sent to the 404 page. I belive this is because there is an explicit mapping for .aspx to the .NET DLL. If I try to access a fake directory I simply recieve a plain text response saying: The system cannot find the file specified. It would appear that these requests for directories are not being routed through the .NET pipeline, which is what I would expect (and need) to happen becuase of the wildcard application mapping. Any ideas?

  We’ve set up tracking through custom variables in Google Analytics to measure which offices are getting the most traffic. The custom var consists out of the key (=office) and value = (office name). In our Custom Var tab in audience we get no data (actually we got 1 hit, but we think the data is way off). When we setup advanced segments with the filters on key and value we get the correct data. Now we are wondering why we aren’t getting that data in the custom var tab.

• jQuery trigger custom event synchronously?

  I am using the jQuery trigger method to call an event... but it behaves inconsistently. Sometimes it call the event, sometimes it does not. <a href="#" onclick=" $(this).trigger('custom-event'); window.location.href = 'url'; return false; ">text</a> The custom-event has lots of listeners added to it. It is as if the trigger method is not synchronous, allowing the window.location.href be changed before executing the events. And when window.location.href is changed a navigation occurs, interrupting everything. How can I trigger events synchronously? Using jQuery 1.8.1. Thanks!   I would like to know if there is a Facebook API call to retrieve the events (eids) for all the events a user has created using my facebook connect application. The events are created using the following REST api call: https://api.facebook.com/method/events.create?event_info=' . $e_i . '&access_token=' . $cookie['access_token'] $e_i is the event info array where the 'host' value is set to 'Me' as follows $event_info['host'] = 'Me'; On Facebook events under the "Created by:" section it lists "My user name,Application Name", I presume this is because I am the creator and the application is the admin as stated in the REST api documentation http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/rest/events.create/ Unfortunately I cannot seem to find out how (neither REST nor GPRAPH API) to return a list of events where I am the creator and the application is the admin as in the above scenario. If this is possible I would really appreciate some assistance with how it is done. So far I have tried: REST API events.get using uid=application_id. This only returns events created by the application not those including the user who created them GRAPH API https://graph.facebook.com/me/events?fields=owner&access_token=... this returns all the events for 'me' but not where the application is also the admin. It seems strange that there's no reference to the linkage between the event creator and the event admin through the API but in Facebook it is able to pull both and display them on the event details.

• stopping backspace on multiple browsers using jQuery

  I am attempting to stop a backspace keydown event from being handled by browsers, I'm using the jquery library, so I need to get the original event, but on some browsers (firefox at least) I get an error when trying to set the original events keyCode = 0, it gives and error saying that only a getter exists for that property. function blockBackspace(event) { var altKey = event.originalEvent.altKey; var srcElementType = event.originalEvent.srcElement; if( (altKey) || ((event.keyCode == 8) && (srcElementType != "text" && srcElementType != "textarea" && srcElementType != "password")) || ((event.ctrlKey) && ((event.keyCode == 78) || (event.keyCode == 82)) ) || (event.keyCode == 116) ) { event.keyCode = 0; event.returnValue = false; event.originalEvent.keyCode = 0; event.originalEvent.returnValue = false; //sets process backspaceFlag to keep multiple handlers from removing text processBackspace = true; } } so I'm not exactly sure what to do next, every solution I find yields more problems. There must be ways around this problem or else other text areas (that's kind of what I'm building) would not work

This doesn't happen. Here is the custom validate method jQuery.validator.addMethod("isEmpty", function(value, element) { return (value == ''); }, "Must select a date with the button besides control"); jQuery("#ct_2_fechauso").rules("add", { required: "#campotilde_psico:checked", isEmpty: true }); The problem is that even if I select a date, it always ask me to select a date again. datePicker fields should be readonly
