• Helping install mrcwa and solve problems with f2py in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

  I am sorry if this is the wrong section but I am starting to get desperate, please someone help me... I need to install the program mrcwa-20080820 (sourceforge.net/projects/mrcwa/) because a summer project that I am involved. I need to use it together with anaconda (store.continuum.io/cshop/anaconda/), I already installed Anaconda and apparently it is working. When I type: conda --version I got the expected answer. conda 3.5.2 If I tried to import numpy or scipy with python or simple type f2py there are no errors. So far so good.   We use CKEditor and CKFinder for Coldfusion in many of our CMS applications. These apps point to different sites on our server, so we want CKFinder setup to upload files to directories specific to each app. But we one want one shared location for the CKEditor and CKFinder files on the server. In the config.cfm file, we have setup the default baseURL and baseDir like this: config.baseUrl = "http://www.oursite.com/_files/site1/ckfinder_uploads/"; config.baseDir = '\\ourserver01\_files\site1\ckfinder_uploads\'; In the header file for each app, we include the following to instantiate CKEditor and CKFinder (including the jQuery adapter): <script type="text/javascript" src="/shared/ckeditor/ckeditor.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/shared/ckeditor/adapters/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/shared/ckfinder/ckfinder.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ CKFinder.setupCKEditor( null, '/shared/ckfinder/' ); }); </script> When I open a CKFinder window in one of the apps, it correctly opens to the default baseURL/baseDir.   We need to insert a web beacon (i know taboo) in to adobe PDFs to know when they are opened, as one of our clients is moving to a model of "giving" their documents away and following up repeat viewers for subscriptions. Its not enough to be able to provide a download, they want to attach the PDF to an email and "blast" to directed recipients (double-opt-in etc). Adding the javascript to the pdf is easy enough: (iText) and the "openAction" event. However the security box pops up and displays: "Security Warning" "Document is trying to connect to 'xxxx.yyy.com' if you trusty the site choose Allow. If do not trust the site choose Block" [help] [allow] [block] I don't think we need to completley overhaul the dialogue box, I just think we need to change the middle text to be more descriptive of why we are doing it.   I'm using the admin interface to view invoices and products. To make things easy, I've set the products as inline to invoices, so I will see the related products in the invoice's form. As you can see I'm using a many-to-many relationship. In models.py: class Product(models.Model): name = models.TextField() price = models.DecimalField(max_digits=10,decimal_places=2) class Invoice(models.Model): company = models.ForeignKey(Company) customer = models.ForeignKey(Customer) products = models.ManyToManyField(Product) In admin.py: class ProductInline(admin.StackedInline): model = Invoice.products.through class InvoiceAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): inlines = [FilteredApartmentInline,] admin.site.register(Product, ProductAdmin) The problem is that django presents the products as a table of drop down menus (one per associated product). Each drop down contains all the products listed. So if I have 5000 products and 300 are associated with a certain invoice, django actually loads 300x5000 product names. Also the table is not aesthetic. How can I change it so that it'll just display the product's name in the inline table? Which form should I override, and how?

  Hi everybody, I am wondering if it is possible to set VisualStudio IDE so it highlights private/protected/public variables of the class differently as well as change formatting on locals (i.e. variables that are either passed in or declared inside a function, like this). I did not find any such options in the normal Fonts and Colors menu of VS. Also a search on SO reveals that (at least as of 2 years ago) only add-ons provide such features. But is there a way to manually edit some file? Just because we don't get a nice UI to edit, doesn't mean underlying framework automatically doesn't support it. I mean add-ons have to plug into something to do their magic in the editor. Any insights into this issue? Thanks!

I'm creating my website with drupal and I have found a module called Webform I like it, it's pretty easy to create forms with different types of fields and file uploading. The one thing that i can't figure out is how to add Rich Text before all fields. Something like introduction to the form. This module has "Description" field that will show text as a plain text but it doesn't have rich text in it. What can I use to make that happen.   In our case we want to igonore changes in code comment headers for generated code. In Visual Studio, we can change the merge tool (GUI that pops up) and use a 3rd party tool that is able to be customized to ignore changes (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms181446.aspx). Great, so a file comparison no longer highlights code comments as differences. However when it comes time to checkin, the TFS merge algorith is still prompting us to resolve conflicts. Is there any way to better inform the merge conflict resolution algorithm about which changes are actually important to us? Or can we replace the algorithm or otherwise have it subcontract its work to a 3rd party?

  I need to pickle a complex object that refers to django model objects. The standard pickling process stores a denormalized object in the pickle. So if the object changes on the database between pickling and unpickling, the model is now out of date. (I know this is true with in-memory objects too, but the pickling is a convenient time to address it.) So what I'd like is a way to not pickle the full django model object. Instead just store its class and id, and re-fetch the contents from the database on load. Can I specify a custom pickle method for this class? I'm happy to write a wrapper class around the django model to handle the lazy fetching from db, if there's a way to do the pickling.

  Hi, i have a question regarding some complex data-binding. I want to be able to update a grid (which has the property "IsItemsHost" set to true) dynamically whenever a data-binding occurs. To be more specific, i bind the grid to some items and i want to change the number of grid rows depending on these items, add something like a header (one row containing some text), and set the items' Grid.Row and Grid.Column using some custom logic. What is the easiest way to apply such behaviour whenever the bound data is updated? Do i have to use a viewmodel that also contains the header data? Thanks in advance.
