• Android XML file doesn't save

  I'm writing a game with LibGDX, and I'm trying to save an XML file, but there's always an exception (java.io.FileNotFoundException: /data/Slugfest/teams/Team1.xml: open failed: ENOENT (No such file or directory)) when saving the file. • How can I get the fully qualified name of an assembly from it's basic name?

  I'm currently writing a custom forms application that allows a user to design a data capture form. I store the field's ControlType and ControlAssembly in the database and then create them on the forms at runtime. For example: ControlType = `System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox`. ControlAssembly= `System.Web`. So I can therefor create a fully qualified name and create the control doing the following: string target = Assembly.CreateQualifiedName("System.Web", field.ControlType); Type type = Type.GetType(target); Control control = Activator.CreateInstance(type) as Control; But, this will cause an error as "System.Web" is not a valid assembly name. The assembly name itself has to be fully qualified, i.e. System.Web.Extensions would be: "System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" Is there any way I can get the fully qualified name of the assembly System.Web without having to store the entirity of the version, culture and PKT?

• Finding the attributes on the properties of an instance of a class

  Given an instance of a class I want to set properties on attributes at runtime. So I tried this, but as far as I can tell this finds the attributes on the class not the instance, so any changes I make to the attribute properties have no effect. var properties = myObject.GetType().GetProperties(); foreach (object prop in properties) { var attribute =prop.GetCustomAttributes(typeof(MyAttribute), true)[0]; //attribute.MyProp do some stuff } If I try using type descriptor like below, there is no way of getting to the attributes on the properties. var myObject= (MyClass) object; PropertyDescriptorCollection props = TypeDescriptor.GetProperties(myObject); //There is no props[0].GetCustomAttributes(

  Apparently neither instanceof nor typeof deliver in terms of correctly identifying the type of every javascript object. • AutoMapper determine what to map based on generic type

  Hi, Is there a way to provide AutoMapper with just a source and based on the specified mapping for the type of that source automatically determine what to map to? • Check if a class is subclass of another class in Java

  Hi! I'm playing around with Java's reflection API and trying to handle some fields. Now I'm stuck with identifying the type of my fields. Strings are easy, just do myField.getType().equals(String.class). The same applies for other non-derived classes. But how do I check derived classes? E.g. LinkedList as subclass of List. I can't find any isSubclassOf(...) or extends(...) method. Do I need to walk through all getSuperClass() and find my supeclass by my own? Thanks! craesh

Now I need it to give the xml back to me as a string (rather than save it to a file). I am looking into it, but I have not figured it out yet. I thought this might be really easy for someone familiar with these objects. If not I will figure it out eventually.

• Active Index is not being persisted in jQuery accordion change event

  I have an asp.net aspx page and on that page I have a hidden input field with and id of paneIndex. However, when I load the page, the alert shows index 1 which is correct on the first load, but if I open up pane 3 for example, the alert shows 1 still. Am I doing something wrong? • Generically creating objects in C#

  What I am trying to do is load in objects from an XML save file. The problem is those objects are configurable by the user at runtime, meaning i had to use reflection to get the names and attributes of those objects stored in an XML file. I am in the middle of a recursive loop through the XML and up to the part where I need to create an object then thought ..... ah - no idea how to do that :( I have an array stuffed with empty objects (m_MenuDataTypes), one of each possible type. My recursive loading function looks like this private void LoadMenuData(XmlNode menuDataNode) { foreach (object menuDataObject in m_MenuDataTypes) { Type menuDataObjectType = menuDataObject.GetType(); if (menuDataObjectType.Name == menuDataNode.Name) { //create object } } } I need to put some code where my comment is but I can't have a big switch statement or anything. The objects in my array can change depending on how the user has configured the app.

Something like this has to exist. I'm not really opposed to coding it myself, I just don't want to go through the hassle if its already been done.

• Access the camera of a Smartphone using libGDX

  I searched the web, browsed through the libGDX wiki, but without success. My Question: Is there a way, to access the camera of smartphones, let the user take a photo, and then store the image in a Texture-instance? • How do I tell if the ObjectDataSource OnSelected event was called for the selectmethod or selectcou

  I have an object datasource that looks like this: <asp:ObjectDataSource ID="obdsList" runat="server" EnablePaging="True" SelectCountMethod="GetCountByID" SortParameterName="sortExpression" OldValuesParameterFormatString="original_{0}" SelectMethod="GetByID" TypeName="Services.Users" onselected="obdsList_Selected"> <SelectParameters> <asp:QueryStringParameter Name="ID" QueryStringField="ID" Type="Int32" /> </SelectParameters> </asp:ObjectDataSource> And a onselected event like this: protected void obdsList_Selected(object sender, ObjectDataSourceStatusEventArgs e) { } However, the event method is being called twice.. once with my returned list, and once with the returned Int32 count. If I want to cast e.ReturnValue to the return List how do I differentiate between the count and select methods? I can do a e.ReturnValue.GetType().ToString() but that seems like a hack.

• Accessing controls created dynamically (c#)

  In my code behind (c#) I dynamically created some RadioButtonLists with more RadioButtons in each of them. I put all controls to a specific Panel. What I need to know is how to access those controls later as they are not created in .aspx file (with drag and drop from toolbox)? I tried this: foreach (Control child in panel.Controls) { Response.Write("test1"); if (child.GetType().ToString().Equals("System.Web.UI.WebControls.RadioButtonList")) { RadioButtonList r = (RadioButtonList)child; Response.Write("test2"); } } "test1" and "test2" dont show up in my page. That means something is wrong with this logic. Any suggestions what could I do?
