  • D-Day Calendar has wrong dates when importing from google calendar?

    Hi I am using D-Day calendar and I am not sure but I got a weird problem. I basically have this for my code iCalendar iCal = iCalendar.LoadFromStream(file.InputStream); foreach (Event evt in iCal.Events) { DateTime start = evt.DTStart.Date; DateTime end = evt.DTEnd.Date; // loop through it and get values. } Yet when I import a calendar from google calendar the end date is messed up on some of the stuff I am importing. Like for instance I have this Title: should not show When: Sun, March 21(all day). Yet when I import it in. I says the start date is the 21st yet the end date is the 22nd when it should be the 21st. Not sure what is going on. I am not really sure what other info I can give you guys.

    I am working on a simple java code to extract all calendar entries for a given date. I know it possible using Domingo but I would like to use only Notes.jar for this purpose. It is possible for me to create a session based on a given credentials and get the calendar object. I am looking to extract the current running notes session and use that session object to open the calendar view in the mail file and start playing with it. But I am not able to get it working. Anybody have any idea or links on this ?

    Hi, (On behalf of a collegue) In one of our functionality we have some date fields for inline edit where we have enabled manual input. If in rich:calendar component, we manually enter improper date or junk data it will not even call the action method. As per our requirement we need to display an error message for date validation for these kind of fields. Is there any way to track that the date entered in the calendar field is improper with this component.     Hello, I am using a ASP Calendar control to insert a datetime value into a field to be part of an insert to a SQL Server 2005 db table. I get the following error when i submit the form to server and try to insert into table: [ArgumentException: The version of SQL Server in use does not support datatype 'date'.] Seems like Calendar control returns a Date type value. How could i make the Calendar control return a Datetime value instead? I know now that SQL Server 2005 does not support Date type fields.

  • how to detect an IMAPMessage is not an email but a Task or Calendar item

    I am accessing Lotus and Groupwise using javamail via IMAP, recursively accessing all folders and processing email I find. But in folders like Tasklist and Calendar (those are from Groupwise but I think I remember Lotus had similar things), I get the items in there as instances of IMAPMessage, and so they are processed as if they were mail. I understand those items get exposed as mail through the IMAP protocol (either by design or by mistake), but I only want to process proper mail. Is there a way to do this? I have dismissed following approaches so far: Make sure the message has a message-id, at least in Groupwise Calendar items have it. Ignore folders by name (such as Calendar and Tasklist): is not totally correct as a user can move mail inside those folders. What I am looking is some IMAP api call I have missed so far or something in those lines...

    I seem to have a hard time getting my head around this. What's the difference between calendar.timegm() and time.mktime()? Say I have a datetime.datetime with no tzinfo attached, shouldn't the two give the same output? Don't they both give the number of seconds between epoch and the date passed as a parameter?     When exporting an outlook 2003 Calendar to CVS, excel, or access recurring appointments that I have changed the start time on are not included in the exported appointments. Example I have an appointment every other Friday from 8 - 12 that I set up as a recurrence. I then changed the start time on several occurrences. None of the appointments with the changed time are exported. How do I export ALL the appointments?

    I want to upload my ICS file to my server, well this is the easy part. What I really want is to be able to share this *.ics file with 2-3 people so they can edit. I have currently uploaded the file on the www/ (root) mydomain.com.au/myfile.ics of my server and added it to my Email/Cal client. Was all looking ok until I tried to save changes. Can someone please direct me to some documentation on how I do this properly. The easy solution would be to upload to google, but I would rather learn how to manage the file myself. Thank you

My question is: which is the best way to manage these events in my classes? I think to add a eventList property in CalendarCell and populate it with an array of CalendarEvent objects fetched by the database. This kind of solution doesn't allow other coders to reuse the classes without db (because I should inject at least a repository services also) just to create and visualize a calendar... so maybe it could be better to extend CalendarCell (for instance in CalendarCellEvent) and add the database features? I feel like I'm missing some crucial design pattern! Any suggestion will be very appreciated!
