  • How to change Excel Pivot table "Report Filter"s values cell formatting

    My Excel is in Finnish, but don't let that bother you... First Report Filter "Kupi" has only number values in my source table, for example 643203, 3533, 253244, etc. How ever in Pivot's "Report Filter" all those values are converted to date values MONTH yyyy. How do I reformat the filter values to respect the original cell formatting?! The same problem is with actual date values in my source table when using "Report Filter" in Pivot table. In my source data my dates are in format: dd.mm.yyyy and for some reason in Pivot's "Report Filter" all dates are shown in MONTH yyyy-format?! Why is that and what do I need to do to fix this?

    In ASP.NET you can tackle the internationalization requirement by taking advantage of native support to local and global resources used with the ResourceExpressionBuilder. But with this approach you cannot access public resources defined in external assemblies referenced by your Web application. However, since you can extend the .NET resource provider mechanism and create new expression builders you can workaround this limitation and use external resources in your ASPX pages much like you use local or global resources.   • Platform Builder: Disable the USB Driver Dialog

    For a long time, Windows CE developers and users have wanted to disable the USB Driver Dialog that is displayed when an unknown USB device is plugged into the host controller.   Of course the question is always why would you want to do such a thing? The simple answer is that there are USB devices that are needed, like printers, which expose multiple functions to the bus, like scanners and faxes, which no Windows CE driver exists to support.   So the printer quietly loads a driver, but then the other functions cause a dialog to be shown. One solution is to create a USB Class driver that loads by default if no other driver has been loaded. This driver just accepts anything that it sees and then does nothing with it. Starting with the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 March QFE/update, the USB 2.0 driver has a registry value to disable the dialog: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\USB\LoadClients]       "DoNotPromptUser"=dword:0   Setting the DoNotPromptUser value to 1 disables the dialog. The default value is zero, so the driver continues to behave in the same way it always did unless you change this registry value.     Copyright © 2010 – Bruce Eitman All Rights Reserved

    I think this is the right stack for this. I have a helper class which builds CAML queries (SharePoint XML for getting list items from SQL) There is one method that is flexibly used to build the queries that get all related votes and comments for a social item. I don't want to call it BuildVoteorCommentXML or something long winded like that. Is there a good naming convention for getting all Join/Foreign Key objects from a core object?

Such as LinkedIn, ceevee.com, github resume generator, etc. I use some of the things I've mentioned but I don't really like the out-dated style of resume created by ceevee.com, but I'm also not much of a designer.   • Creating a very detailed report using Excel and/or Access

    I have a database/spreadsheet of information that I need to make a very detailed report from. My knowledge on Access is quite limited so I started doing a mock up of the Report layout in Excel and made this: So from there, I need the information from the data base to be placed in the properly labeled cells. There are over 2500+ entries in the spreadsheet/database, so if creating a report that looks pretty spot on to the one above in access is doable, that might be an easier route.

    I came across a really neat modular theme for WordPress a while ago, but I can't remember the name so I'm wondering if somebody can help out. It was a paid theme with a dedicated company behind it if I'm not mistaken. The theme allowed you to change the colors of all the content areas, define widgets, and resize content areas. I'm really interested in being able to resize columns and such at the touch of a button, getting too old for the usual CSS micromanagement that goes on with brittle themes.

(2015 or something like that.)
