  I am working on python and biopython right now. I have a file upload form and whatever file is uploaded suppose(abc.fasta) then i want to pass same name in execute (abc.fasta) function parameter and display function parameter (abc.aln). Right now i am changing file name manually, but i want to have it automatically. Workflow goes like this. ----If submit is not true then display only header and form part --- if submit is true then call execute() and get file name from form input --- Then display the save file result in the same page.   Does htaccess works with swf file that accepts variables? I have this swf url... http://subdom.domain.tld/subfolder/live.swf?stream=rtmp://stream.domain.com/application&provider=rtmp&file=streamname&autostart=true I want it to be rewrite as http://subdom.domain.tld/subfolder/assignedname/ So far this is what I written on .htaccess file RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^kwt/?$ live.swf?stream=rtmp://stream.domain.com/application&provider=rtmp&file=streamname&autostart=true [NC,L] It does seem to rewrite to the swf file because the swf is showing but for some reason the variable is not recognized. It does not auto play even the auto play variable is set to true in the RewriteRule. Is there something wrong with my code or it can't be done in swf file?

  I'm refactoring a bit in my Emacs set up and have come to the conclusion that I want to use a different init file than the default one. So basically, in my ~/.emacs file, I have this: (load "/some/directory/init.el") Up until now, that's been working just fine. However, now I want to redefine an old command that I've used for ages, which opens my init file: (defun conf () "Open a buffer with the user init file." (interactive) (find-file user-init-file)) As you can see, this will open ~/.emacs no matter what I do. I want it to open /some/directory/init.el, or wherever the conf command itself is defined. How would I do that?

• getResourceAsStream returns HttpInputStream not of the entire file

  Hi, I am having a web application with an applet which will copy a file packed witht the applet to the client machine. When I deploy it to webserver and use: InputStream in = getClass().getResourceAsStream("filename") ; The in.available() always return a size of 8192 bytes for every file I tried, which means the file is corrupted when it is copied to the client computer. The InputStream is of type HttpInputStream (sun.net.protocol.http.HttpUrlConnection$httpInputStream). But while I test applet in applet viewer, the files are copied fine, with the InputStream returned is of type BufferedInputStream, which has the file's byte sizes. I guess that when getResourceStream in file system the BufferedInputStream will be used and when at http protocol, HttpInputStream will be used. How will I copy the file completely, is there a size limited for HttpInputStream? Thanks a lot.

• How to stream a WAV file?

  I'm writing an app where I record audio and upload the audio file over the web. In order to speed up the upload I want to start uploading before I've finished recording. The file I'm creating is a WAV file. My plan was to use multiple data chunks. So instead of the normal encoding (RIFF, fmt , data) I’m using (RIFF, fmt , data, data, ..., data). The first issue is that the RIFF header wants the total length of the whole file, but that is of course not known when streaming the audio (I’m now using an arbitrary number). The other problem is that I'm not sure if it's valid since Audacity doesn't recognise the file, and Windows Media Player opens the file but plays only a very small part. I've been reading WAV specs but haven’t found an answer. Any suggestions?

I now that fwrite use blocks for write but i dont know how do it. Help plz!

  I have a csv file with a number of columns. I am trying to replace the second column with the second to last column from the same file. For example, if I have a file, sample.csv 1,2,3,4,5,6 a,b,c,d,e,f g,h,i,j,k,l I want to output: 1,5,3,4,5,6 a,e,c,d,e,f g,k,i,j,k,l Can anyone help me with this task? Also note that I will be discarding the last two columns afterwards with the cut function so I am open to separating the csv file to begin with so that I can replace the column in one csv file with another column from another csv file. Whichever is easier to implement. Thanks in advance for any help.

• Imagecache, Views, file renaming, and output directories

  I have been trying to figure this one out for awhile and just seem to be getting myself deeper into a rabbit hole.. I think it would be best if I would just explain what I am trying to accomplish and go from there.. Essentially what I would like to happen is a user would upload a photograph from the filefield sources on a content type, and then using views, it would output that different image through different imagecache actions.. The problem seems to be that the actual directories it is making is really cluttered and I would like it to be a little bit more organized due to some file renaming. Here is how I would like the process to happen: Upload image.jpg Imagecache resize 100x100 square and save file to same directory and name the file image-100.jpg Imagecache desaturate 100x100 square and save file to same directory and name the file image-d-100.jpg Currently it seems that every imagecache action will save that file in its own directory.. Pastebin API uses paste_code as its main data input, but it can use optional things like paste_name that sets the name of the upload or paste_private that sets it private.

For testing purposes I am trying to read a file using the filestream object and recreate it at a different location. But the recreated file is created blank. the recreated file has the same number of pages though...   I implemented one service and it has several configuration item, such as data type, next node, blablabla. What I want to do is to deploy the service and configuration file into tomcat within one .aar. However, if I jar the service and configuration file into the aar. The service can't read the file though the file is there in the same directory. Even I put the file into tomcat_home\bin, the service fails to read the file. I know it should work. Can anybody give me a hint? Thanks.

I want to pass this file path in File() constructor for one class in ejb module. How do i do it? If i pass any of the below it doesn't work :- new File("abc.xml"); //this take file from glassfish/domains/domain1 :( new File("./abc.xml"); I don't want to pass hardcode path like /home/administrator/appname/module/etc.. I want the path relative from my ejb module. Please help me. I've tried all things. Actually when i created a class in same folder and then try classname.getResource("abc.xml").getPath() it works fine. But what if i don't have any class in that folder. Waiting for your replies

  I was doing a checkout of a file in ClearCase, and I was unable to checkout this file from the frozen view because of this file which was a bleed-thru file. I thawed the view, and then I was able to check out the file, so I really do not have a problem at this time. I do have a question, though. What is a bleed-thru file in ClearCase? Any ideas? I have not heard this term before, and was interested, partly because it just sounds so cool!

However, I can't seem to find any documentation on how to programatically write to a proc file. Ideally, I would like to add a timestamp with other user details every time the proc file is opened for read or for write. Again, I've found where I can add the read and write functions that are triggered when the proc file is opened, but I can't find documentation on how to actually write to a proc file programatically. This would be different from a regular IO read/write, correct?

• Monitoring file upload progress in Actionscript 3

  I'm trying to track the progress of a file upload in AS3, and I'm getting strange behavior. When I select a file and upload it, the progress is instantaneously 100% even if the file is 10 or more megabytes, but it's not finished. The onComplete event is fired about 30 second to a few minutes later (depending on file size) when the file has really finished uploading. I've tested this locally and on the server, the behaviour is the same. Has anyone else experienced this? Very frustrating ... Otherwise, the file is uploading fine. • ClickOnce File will not associate on open from web browser download

  I have a ClickOnce program that associates with a given extension and that works fine if the file is located on the file system. My problem comes in when this file is downloaded from a website. I have a web handler that prompts the user to Click to download the file. Upon clicking the link the user is presenter with an Open or Save Dialog. If the user chooses Open the program will not launch. If the user saves the file to their hard drive and then clicks the file the association will work. Any advice on getting the association to work on the prompt when the user clicks Open or is a Save required? -Edit : Tested this on both IE8 and Chrome with same result.

Next time the batch file is run, it should read the current count number from the txt file and add 1 to count and save this new value in the txt file. (nothing else is in the txt file) When count is 5 it should start from 1 again Example: Count.bat runs 1 time: count.txt has no count so Count.bat saves the value 1 in count.txt Count.bat is run 2 time: Count.bat reads 1 from count.txt and saves the new value 2 to count.txt When count.bat is run for the 6 time it should start over by saving the value 1 in count.txt I think this just be easy to do, but I'am not use to batch commands So hopefully someone here could help me.

The program executes without any error, but the image file(".bmp") is not properly copied. I have observed that the size of the copied file is less and only 20% of the image is visible, all else is black. When I tried with simple text files, the copy was complete.   I need some help with priviligies in centos I have a file in home/admin/public_html/generate.php that I want to do some file copy with using php copy function When I set the file to chown admin:admin generate.php I can access the file but I cannot execute the php copy command because I don't have the proper rights. When I set the file to root:root generate.php I cant access the file beacuse its under admin user folder home/admin/public_html/generate.php how do I solve please, thankful for any help. Bottom line is that I want my generate.php which is owned by admin:admin to be able to copy files from sources outside its home dir and to other home dirs I am using CENTOS

  Hi , I am working on extracting Parts Of speech (POS) using xml documents and I have a englishPCFG.ser.gz file which is used in extracting POS on xml files. I cannot send this .gz file as input in HDFS directory, but my program uses it for parsing xml files. The file is in my local directory. I am getting "File Not Found" error when I run my mapreduce program. How can i make it available to mapper? I tried placing the file in HDFS where my xml files are present. I also tried adding it in .jar along with class files but not luck. I tried to change the hdfs-default.xml with entry to local directory, still doesnt work. Please let me know how to make mapper read this file? Thank you,
