    Many companies offer unlimited online backup space for a fixed price (mozy.com, twitter.com/allmydata, onlinestoragesolution.com, etc), but they either use proprietary non-Linux-friendly software and/or have gone out of business and/or don't actually work. Who offers reliable unlimited online backup space for a fixed price that's compatible with rsync, FTP, or other generic/open source file transfer protocols? Or, has anyone written software that lets me treat Mozy's/etc space as though it were regular file space (eg, "mozyfs"?)

  • framebuffer not available. How to install the device /dev/fb/0 on Ubuntu?

    I am trying to run an application that uses framebuffer on 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu. All need to do is to install a framebuffer device to get rid of the following error. /dev/fb/0: No such file or directory framebuffer not available. FATAL: no framebuffer available I googled through and found some resources indicating to do that on Grub2 I got nothing though I followed them seamlessly. Any ideas? Thanks

  • usb_modeswitch not switching

    After I upgraded from kernel 2.6.18 to 3.5.3 modeswitch started not to work for me. Although lsusb shows my usb modem, usb_modeswitch does not switch it. My system information is like below.     I have the following directory structure for my websites: /var/www/sitename/subdomain/(public|log) e.g /var/www/stackoverflow.com/careers/public/index.html Can I make a single generic nginx configuration to do this? So that every domain is mapped to the right directory? I would not like to edit my nginx configuration for every website I add. The root domain can always be mapped to the www subdomain.

  • finding audio driver

    I have a soundcard in my new PC at work that does not have the right driver installed, and I'm not sure what the manufacturer is. (it's a generic PC running Windows XP) Is there a way to figure out what device it is w/o having to open the thing up or pester my IT department?     Whenever I log into my Windows 7 desktop from my Windows 7 laptop using RDC, the Num Lock is enabled on the host computer and it is not disabled after disconnecting. What can I do to stop the Num Lock from being enabled or automatically disable it at the end of the session?   • rundll32 gets stuck when running games on windows 7 [closed]

    When I run a game on my windows 7 laptop, Rundll32 completely uses up one of my cores and the game wont start. By searching the web I have been able to fix it by 1 - Disabling game info collection/updation from the games explorer. It solved the problem for some games but not all 2 - Killing the game exe once rundll32 gets stuck and restarting the game This has solved the problem for now, but is there a proper and permanent solution to this?

But my problem is after I updated my music collection and started to play it (it is all loaded into my playlist), amarok doesn't start next song after the current song is finished.
