    Can someone tell me how to install this? I go here: http://api.jquery.com/browser/ and click the INSTALL NOW button. After that it says "Download and open the AIR file to begin the Installation". I have AIR installed but can't figure out where the file is for the API Browser. I'm definitely missing something obvious...

  • jQuery color change or CSS?

    - by Josh
    I've tried achieving a hover/selected color change for a particular field, but I'm thinking jQuery is the answer. I've looked into some button click tutorials, but maybe I'm not just seeing it or doing it correctly. The idea here is that when a user hovers over a Headline, the background color changes, when they click the headline to expand it, the background color remains constant (selected), however as it stands right now the background color of the expanded fields do not change. Here is the demo: http://www.notedls.com/demo

  • Having trouble using jQuery to set meta tag values

    - by Zhami
    I'm trying to set meta tags using jQuery (please don't reply that this doesn't make sense since search engines blah-blah-blah... I am loading invoking 3rd party Javascript functions that examine these vales, such as Tweetmeme and Facebook). If I use: $('meta[name=some-name]').attr('content', 'some value'); it does work to set the value of an existing meta tag, but does not create a meta tag if such a named one does not exist. If you have insight or experience with this, please reply...

  • Jquery DataTables server parameters

    - by Faton
    In jquery DataTables it is possible to add server parameters through the method fnServerData or fnServerParams : $("#myTable").dataTable({ "bServerSide": true, "sAjaxSource": contextApp, "fnServerParams" : function(aoData){ aoData.push("name":"paramName", "value":"paramValue"); } ) Is it possible to do the same thing through fnSettings method? For example : var myTable = $("#myTable").dataTable(); var oSettings = myTable.fnSettings(); //add server paramters to oSettings

  • jquery performing calculation on dynamically generated elements

    - by user306472
    I have a table made up of a row of 3 input elements: Price, Quanity, and Total. Under that, I have two links I can click to dynamically generate another row in the table. All that is working well, but actually calculating a value for the total element is giving me trouble. I know how to calculate the value of the first total element but I'm having trouble extending this functionality when I add a new row to the table. Here's the html: <table id="table" border="0"> <thead> <th>Price</th><th>Quantity</th><th>Total</th> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <td><input id ="price" type = "text"></input></td> <td><input id ="quantity" type = "text"></input></td> <td><input id ="total" type = "text"></input></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <a href="#" id="add">Add New</a> <a href="#" id="remove">Remove</a> Here's the jquery I'm using: $(function(){ $('a#add').click(function(){ $('#table > tbody').append('<tr><td><input id ="price" type = "text"></input></td><td><input id ="quantity" type = "text"></input></td><td><input id ="total" type = "text"></input></td></tr>'); }); $('a#remove').click(function(){ $('#table > tbody > tr:last').remove(); }); }); $(function(){ $('a#calc').click(function(){ var q = $('input#quantity').val(); var p = $('input#price').val(); var tot = (q*p); $('input#total').val(tot); }); }); I'm new to jquery so there's probably a simple method I don't know about that selects the relevant fields I want to calculate. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  • jQuery flicker using .load

    - by Dave Macaulay
    Hey guys, I'm using jQuery to dynamically load php pages into my page using the .load() function, so far this has been successful but if you click on various links to update the div with the .load() it starts to flicker between the new clicked page and the old one, this is pretty annoying and has anyone got a fix? Current code: $(document).ready(function(){ $('a').click(function() { $('#content').load($(this).attr("href")); return false; }); });

There are uls in each li, and each ul has the class sublist, which in the CSS has a display value of none, but with the jQuery below even though I hover over it, the ul won't show. • jQuery cannot retrieve data from localhost

    - by fatnic
    I have a very simple bit of jQuery to retrieve my latest Tweet $.getJSON("http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/username.json?count=1", function(data) { $("#tweet_text").html(data[0].text); }); This works fine on a simple HTML file on my desktop. However, once the file is accessed from my localhost (apache) no data is being returned. I was wondering if any part of Apache was blocking the request somehow? Or any other ideas?

  • is there a place to find other jquery ui themes

    - by oo
    for some reason i don't like any of the themes that are on the jquery ui themeroller page (i am looking for something on a business website and these all look either bleak or too corny). I wanted to see if there were other sites where people have uploaded or voted on other themes to view and download. I know i can tweak my own but first wanted to see if anyone has done this already with a better artistic eye.

  • Validate numeric text field in jquery

    - by mcxiand
    I have this code in jquery to prevent non-numeric characters being inputted to the text field $("#NumericField").numeric(); Now, on the text field i cant input non-numeric characters. That is OK. The problem here is if the user will paste on the text field with non numeric characters. Is there a way/method to disable pasting if the value is non-numeric? Or is there any other approach to handle this situation that you can share?
