• How can I connect JConsole to WebLogic using the WL SSL Listen Port

  I would like to be able to use JConsole on remote WebLogic servers via the multiplexer port on SSL. Is it possible this without doing any configuration changes WebLogic? Only by adding some jars (e.g. wljmxclient.jar) or parameters to JConsole. I've tried with variations of the following command without success: $JAVA_HOME/bin/jconsole -J-Djava.class.path=$JAVA_HOME/lib/jconsole.jar:\ $JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar:$WL_HOME/server/lib/wljmxclient.jar \ -J-Djmx.remote.protocol.provider.pkgs=weblogic.management.remote -debug \ service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/iiop://server_name:7441/jmxrmi I think that one of the problem is that the SSL is not enabled in JConsole.

• Creating an OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 OpenDIrectory database with a specific domain in mind

  Mountain Lion Server has been one of the most infuriating things ever recently. Above and beyond tons of crashing I've been completely unable to do the following in a way that makes sense to both me and Apple. Name your server srv01.myoffice.domain.com Create an OpenDirectory database as a Master from scratch as dc=domain,dc=com I can rename my server temporarily (taking down vital services in the process due to the automagicliciousness) and create a new profile, however when I switch back to the original domain name the default search base for server related authentication magic is now dc=srv01,dc=myoffice,dc=domain,dc=com. I've tried everything I can think of including using slapconfig backupdb/restoredb and slaving the server off of another then promoting it. This seems rather silly and Apple shows no response to many requests to resolve this. Does anybody out there have the magic to have OpenDirectory work as it should.. being able to give it any domain you want and then having all vital services operate correctly.

• RDP from domain workstation to non-domain workstation via VPN

  I am trying to RDP from a domain computer to a non-domain computer over a VPN. I created a rdp profile for a specified user (for example user name: USERX) with the option to save the password. I am able to establish the connection the first time by entering in the password. However, from that point on, whenever the RDP link is reestablished, it would state that my login details were incorrect and ask me re-type the password for COMP\USERX. Problem is, I don't have a domain called COMP and the password would fail even if reentered. The only way I can reestablish the connection is by choosing the option to login as another user.

• Amazon ec2 - WildCard Sub-Domain

  I'm running an ec2 instance on ubuntu running lamp stack. I configured my httpd.conf file to support wildcard sub-domain but it didn't work. My httpd.conf file NameVirtualHost * <VirtualHost *> DocumentRoot /www/example ServerName example.com ServerAlias *.example.com </VirtualHost> I tried all possible solutions but they didn't work. Finally I used amazon Route-53 to setup a wildcard DNS to redirect all *.example.com to example.com. My question is, Is it okay if I use Route-53 instead of httpd.conf file for wildcard Sub-Domain ? Is there an error in my httpd.conf file ? (Note: I used the same httpd.conf settings with another hosting provider and it worked perfectly there.)   I have a VPS and a domain name registered with the provider. When I enter www.example.com my site is displayed correctly, but entering example.com does not work. I am able to ping www.example.com. I added the following line to my apache2 default vhosts file: ServerName example.com ServerAlias www.example.com But this did not work. The VPS is a Debian5 OS. Any ideas? Note: There is no option via a provided control panel to add this, it's a basic package I purchased I know this post answers it but there are no extra comments and I'd like to know if it's the best way: way to redirect page to www using virtual host configuration in sites-available for apache2? • Sharepoint Document Library not receiving emails

  I have created a sharepoint document library which is email enabled. However when i send email to the designated email address from anywhere, i dont receive the email & attachment in the list. I have done some R&D and i hv found that in order to receive email from anywhere i have to expose my DNS of the sharepoint site to the outside world. Now i dont know whether it applies to the email address designated to me in the Active directory profile as well (my company domain email address). How to test that this email reception is working in the document library? I have tried sending an email from the sharepoint site and it works fine so the SMTP settings are correctly done.

  When I open Reporting Services Configuration Manager on my server, an error message appears that says: Reporting Services Configuration Manager An unknown error has occurred in the WMI Provider. Error Code 800706B3 This error appears before I can even attempt to connect to an SSRS instance. In addition to this problem, I'm not able to connect to my SSRS instance via SSMS on my desktop. When I attempt to connect, I get the following error message: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. (mscorlib) Additional information: The operation could not be completed. (WinMgmt) Information about my environment: Server: Win Server 2K3 x64, SQL 2005 x64 SP3 Build 9.0.4053 Desktop: Windows 7 Enterprise x64 Steps I have already taken: I have installed the latest service pack on my server and workstation. • Windows 8.1 killed notebook's wifi

  Was running Windows 8 on a Lenovo G780 and updated to windows 8.1 Wifi does not work anymore, i always receive a dns server not responding error. I have tried using public dns servers from Google but with still no results. I've restarted my router with no results. All other devices on my network are having no trouble at all. I've tried updating the wireless driver but the manufacturers website claims that the Win8.1 driver should be updated with the update from windows. So i cant find a wireless driver... Anyone else having this error and does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?? • sSMTP Unable to send message using external mail server SMTP

  I'm trying to finish up my Nagios install by having it email me. It was emailing me using /bin/mail so it always got sent to my spam folders. I installed sSMTP to try to send a request to my work's email server to be able to send out a message from an authenticated user. Here is my /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf file: mailhub=10.200.120.148:25 UseTLS=NO AuthUser= [email protected] AuthPass=PASSWORD So far I've been using the following command, and it will still arrive to my email inbox as root@localhost which causes it to go to my spam folder (with the exception of one email provider I have). cat message |ssmtp [email protected] I've looked at a few examples online, and they all seem to have pretty much the same as me. Does anybody see the any mistakes that I'm making? Just to clarify, [email protected] is a user on the mail server that my work uses.

• People Picker can't find Forms Authentication Users in WSS 3.0

  I used a lot of tutorials to turn my windows authenticated default wss web app to use Forms Authentication. What I've done since; 1. created a web app. and a site in wss 3.0. Made its anonymous access enabled for all site content. This wss app is in the "wss3" server. 2. created a membership db with regsql.exe in .net framework folder.Created it with its default settings, like aspnetdb named database.This db is in the "sqlserver" server. 3. gave db.owner permission to the web app. admin of wss to the aspnetdb database. Successfully logged in. With no privilages ofcourse. 9. Tried to give permission via Web Application Policy to that user which logged in. 10. People Picker couldn't find it at all. Any of the forms users couldn't be found. But it clearly tells that AD connection is also changed that none of the AD users couldn't be found either. • How to set the default file permissions on ALL newly created files in linux

  My question is similar to this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/228534/linux-default-file-permission but there is no scp/ftp client involved and that question looks abandoned. Simply put: I want to be able to, at some global level decree that all newly created files will never have world writable permissions (0775). I tried putting a umask 02 in /etc/profile then in my bash_profile but it only works for scripts or new files that I create in a shell. It doesn't work for files that another binary creates. Is there anyway to have all new files that are created?

• Picasa “sync to web” folders do not stay in sync

  I have multiple folders from the Picasa software that were moved to my Google+ profile using the "sync to web" feature. At some point I noticed that some of these folders were on Google+ and had the green upload arrow in Picasa, however the "sync to web" option was disabled. I tried to re-enable the "sync to web" option and it starts loading but after a few seconds the "sync to web" option is back to disabled. I get no error message, it just switches back to disable. Is there any way I could leave the option enabled? Out of around 80 something albums synced to Google+ only 3-4 are not able to have the "sync to web" option enabled. Thanks.

• Prebuilt ActiveMQ Server Based off ZeroMQ

  Are there any distributions of fully built Message Brokers that are initially based off of ZeroMQ? I had thought that downloading/installing ZeroMQ would give me such, not just a handful of procedures for rolling me own. Currently we use ActiveMQ, but it is a miserable pain to configure, so I'd rather slim down the profile, unfortunately I learned that ZeroMQ was not a one step solution to achieving that goal. Alternatives are ok, but I'd prefer something less overly verbose in configuration than ActiveMQ's ludicrous amounts of Java configuration. Broker config + Java Logger Config + many other intricacies that I don't wish to deal with. (Read: Preferably not Java based in the first place.) I'm looking for reliable, basic functionality described by JMS brokers. Topics, Queues, Message Persistence, etc.

• Xenserver boot error

  I'm trying to get Xenserver 5.5 running on a spare computer here, hardware specs: Intel Q6600, 4GB Ram, and Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R motherboard Xenserver itself installs fine onto a 150GB sata hdd, however it fails to boot whatsoever, giving this garbled mess: http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/9918/biosi.jpg it's not frozen because if I press enter it just prints a different garble and it also says "could not find kernel image". The strangest thing is if I put that hdd in my desktop and assign it to a VMWare desktop vm (under the ESX profile no less) it boots perfectly... leading me to believe there are no problems with the install or the hdd itself. From what I can tell the error seems to be occuring completely seperately to Xenserver, in the bootloader extlinux?. If there was a motherboard compatibility issue I would think it would also have manifested during installation, and the fact the problem seems to be with the booting into Xen makes me doubt this. Any ideas guys? (I'm using Xen because it can do PCI passthrough without VT-d.)

• Email attachments sent to a group don't show up for some

  My boss sent out an email from my Exchange 2010 org and attached a PDF and a Word doc to it. He came back the next day and told me that some of the 8 or 10 people that received this email could open up the attachments no problem. The other 2 or 3 people, could not. One of these people who could not open the attachment, went so far as to call Comcast (his email service provider) and ask them where his attachments went. Comcast told this person that when they received the email, the attachment was 0 bytes in size. This may sound like more of a rant than a question but I'm genuinely concerned. Is there any possible way that something could have gone wrong on my end that sent out the email to some with the attachment and to some without?

• Running a small IPTV station

  I'm looking to run an iptv station for my dorm. I know I can serve multicast so that's not a problem. The station will serve out podcasts and other cc licensed content. The target endpoint is xbmc- a media center. So far I know that I need to serve an rtp stream over udp that's streaming an mpeg-4 avc main or high profile with aac ( or ac3 ?) audio. I've had some luck using vlc with vlm to stream but it seems limited. What are my other options?  Everything has to run on Linux- hopefully open source. How can I use playlists and not live streams? What are my software options?

• Communicator Messages not being saved to Outlook due to Outlook Integration error

  For the most part my Office Communicator appears to be configured correctly. I can login to my work account and see the work contact list. Outlook is working perfectly had a weird profile problem initially but that was fixed. Unfortunately, even though I have set the setting that says: Save my instant message conversations in the Outlook Conversation History folder. My conversations have stopped saving to the Outlook Conversation History folder. Also I have a yellow warning message on top of the server icon next to the status field. When I hover or click on the message, it says there is an Outlook Integration Error. The administrator is having trouble figuring out what is causing it. What can cause Outlook Integration Errors in Communicator and how do I go about trouble shooting them?

We currently have one static IP address which is accessible from anywhere outside of our network and points at a simple web server on port 80. We have just been given 5 more static IP addresses which I would like to point at five servers that have static IP's. As an example: Current static IP - 80.123.123.123 New Static IP's - 100.100.100.100-105 Server IP's - 192.168.1.129-133 I have confused myself completely between NAT addresses, static routes and WAN IP aliases. If anyone can give me a clear idea of what I need to do it would be greatly appreciated.

• Two questions about restoring Thunderbird from a backup

  Setting up a new Windows 7 PC, I'm puzzled by two things in Thunderbird 3.1.9: I restored a profile from a three-month old backup, no problem. I then copied more recent files into the Mail/ directory, but TBird still shows the old messages. The last message in Inbox is dated 3/16/2011 -- how do I get TBird to display all the messages in the Local Folders/Inbox view? A large number of the existing messages are now displayed in separate tabs -- I can't tell you how many, but there could be over 1000. Which file governs this? Or can I hire someone from Mechanical Turk to come over and manually close each tab?

Here's what's inside of our httpd.conf: <Location /original> SetHandler weblogic-handler WebLogicHost 10.11.1.1 WebLogicPort 8700 PathTrim /original PathPrepend /destination ConnectTimeoutSecs 60 </Location> <Location /destination> SetHandler weblogic-handler WebLogicHost 10.11.1.1 WebLogicPort 8700 ConnectTimeoutSecs 60 </Location> This setup works mostly, but in the ssl_error_log file there're these entries: [Wed Aug 11 14:59:00 2010] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] ap_proxy: trying GET /original at backend host '10.11.1.1/8700; got exception 'CONNECTION_REFUSED [os error=0, line 1739 of ../nsapi/URL.cpp]: Error connecting to host 10.11.1.1:8700' The weird thing is, the redirection still works, but these annoying entries still shows up. Anyone can point out where did we go wrong? Thanks.

  Hey Guys, I know there has already been a question that has been posted here about migrating shared hosting accounts, but wanted to get a second opinion on my plan to move hosting providers. My business is moving our shared hosting account (hosting and email) to a new provider, and would like to have minimal downtime. Here is our current plan: Create a backup of our old site Upload our site to the new host Set up duplicate email accounts with our new host Change the name server records on our domain to point to our new host Leave our old site up long enough for DNS records to propagate completely. I'm hoping this should result in little downtime for both website and email. Because of the volume of high-importance emails our company receives on a daily basis downtime is very expensive and not tolerated. Thanks, Chris

When I try to perform the installation say that cannot find the JDK; since the JDK is already installed by default in mac, the problem is export the java home. I´ve try a lot and I cant do it! I know that I have to add a line in a .bashrc file (or .profile, or .bash_profile) I´ve created all those files, at different times but nothing... I´m a new mac user, but I use Linux too and I dont know what happened, I just need to export java home to perform my work... and is really necessary for me to add environment variables too. • Components needed for VPN

  Hi there We eventually got our Mac Mini Server. We now want to set up a small Remote Access VPN using this Mac Mini Server. Firstly we are not sure of the components needed additionally to the server to setup this VPN. We currently have the following: 1 Mac Mini Server 1 Firewall Router (Billion 802.11g ADSL2+ router with VPN capabilities [it says so on the box]) 4Mbps ADSL connection (which should have VPN capability enabled by the service provider, or so we heard) We are not sure what else needs to be included to enable our small VPN. Any advice would be really helpful.
