  • I'm trying to use a PHP code for panel visibility in a Panels3 based on Friendlist

    I'm trying to gain a truth value to gain panel visibility. I have a view in place in a panel to display a listing of heartbeat messages that belong to a user. The display works but I cannot figure out how to restrict access to the panel based on the user who is viewing the panel. Goal is I want the panel to only be visible to friends and some people with certain roles. The roles I can handle but I don't know enough about PHP to get it working based on friendship status. I vaguely guess it would be something like: logged user is twoway with user being viewed based on current uid argument. I know my example is nothing like the actual code but as I said I don't have much to go on here.

  • Changing CCK content-types details results in numerous DB calls for the menu system

    Every time I make a change in the details of a content-type it takes too long. I though it had to do with the fact that I had too many content-types and fields (~500), but when I load the devel module to see the queries that take that long I see: Executed 32212 queries in 12267.57 milliseconds. Queries taking longer than 5 ms and queries executed more than once, are highlighted. Page execution time was 55763.32 ms When I see the details I notice that the vast majority of db calls come from the menu system, e.g.: _menu_route menu_local_tasks admin_menu_link_save Why is that? Can I avoid some of these? It doesn't seem logical!

This works great, however I would like to have only 1 ordered list instead of 2, so that my customer can arrange video and images in the same list and ordered them i.e. video1 image1 video2 video3 image2 ... etc thanks

    Using the autocomplete field for a cck nodereference always displays the node id as a cryptic bracketed extension: Page Title [nid:23] I understand that this ensures that selections are unique in case nodes have the same title, but obviously this is a nasty thing to expose to the user. Has anyone had any success in removing these brackets, or adding a different unique identifier?

In this function, i need the username entered by the user. I think i cannot use the login op of hook_user because its called only when the user has successfully logged in.     Client is requesting a single track to be heard across the website. Generally I advise against it, but they insist. So, what is the most straightforward way of having a flash player embedded in a site, and when a user goes to another page there isn't a gap/interruption? I am thinking an iframe is required.. I am using a flash player that has autoresume, but that only solves picking up where you last left off on the song before going to another page. I tried searching SO for an answer..

    I have searched left and right. And i am trying to find a script or a method on how I can store links in database and use them for redirection. This is an E-commerce project and I am looking for something to manage Product and system URL from database. Something Similar like magneto dose. Basically anything after the domain say like domain.com/demo/12/my_iphone so now demo/12/my_iphone will be sent to database for querry and in databases there will be a destination URL which could be productlisting.php?searchstring=iphones so the user will see link domain.com/demo/12/my_iphone but actualy he will be seeing productlisting.php?searchstring=iphones basically demo/12/my_iphone = productlisting.php?searchstring=iphones and tomorrow if the user want to edit demo/12/my_iphone to demo/12/myiphone he can just do so using simple form which will update in the database.
