  • Appending javascript code piece to the end of the body tag

    I am looking for a way to insert javascript code block to end of ASP.NET page. Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock(typeof(Page), "showVideo", sScript, true); is appending to body but js codes are always requesting some js files didn't load or some functions are below of the script. How can i append scripts that i generated dynamically to the bottom of body? Thanks for your help.

  • Help needed in Javascript + Image + HREF

    Hi, <a href="#"><img src="http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif" onClick="alert('hi')"/></a> In the above code, i am appending a javascript onclick method to the image tag. When I click the image once and I press back, it should go back to the page it came from. Instead its staying on the same page. Is there any way I can avoid that? (probably set something else instead of href="#"). The reason I set href="#" is to make my cursor turn into hand, other than that it has no use. This is occuring in FIREFOX, IE it works fine Please help. Thanks.

View.py includes: def pics(request): p = Photo.objects.all() return render_to_response('Shots.html', {'p': p}) The following simple code in the template will generate associated images: {% for p in p %} <img src = "{{ p.display.url }}"> <img src = "{{ p.thumbnail_image.url }}"> {% endfor %} I'm attempting to generate a series of thumbnails {{ p.thumbnail_image.url }} which, when mouseover'd, will generate the slightly larger version of the image, {{ p.display.url }} via Javascript.     I need to use Hidden variables in my JSP for session tracking. this is the code: <input type="hidden" name="REQ_TOKEN" value="<%=session.getAttribute("SESN_TOKEN").toString()%>" /> i am using this to compare the request token with session token, so only when both are equal i will evaluate that request otherwise i will throw an error. Now the problem is, when i place this code inside <form></form> tags, it is working fine. Unfortunately there are some JSPs in my application where we dont have tag(I know that sounds weird!). where can i place my code so that it will work? Cant i use Hidden variables without FORM tag???

    I am trying to create a JQuery Autocomplete box where the words being suggested for autcomplete are links (similar to what happens on Facebook or Quora). Basically, I want the autocomplete results to drop down and I want people to be able to click on them and be navigated to a different page.   • Why do Firefox and Opera ignore max-width inside of display: table-cell?

    The following code displays correctly in Chrome or IE (the image is 200px wide). In Firefox and Opera the max-width style is ignored completely. Why does this happen and is there a good work around? Also, which way is most standards compliant? Note One possible work around for this particular situation is to set max-width to 200px. However, this is a rather contrived example. However, whenever I put anything between that text it gets converted into a tag: &lt;xxx&gt; converts to <xxx></xxx> How do I stop that?I am trying to enter sample HTML into TinyMCE so I can document some XML. There must be a standard way of doing this I imagine.

If I type here things go wrong... </div> </body> </html> My goal is to do a kind of syntax highlighting on edit, to highlight variable names that begin with an @ symbol. However, when I edit the document's body, the function runs but the cursor is automatically shifted to the beginning of the body before the keystroke is performed. My hypothesis is that the keypress event is trying to insert the new character at a specified index, but when I run the replace function the indices get messed up so it defaults the character insertion point to the beginning. I'm using Firefox to test by the way. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, B.J.

    Edit: To be clear, please understand that I am not using Regex to parse the html, that's crazy talk! I'm simply wanting to clean up a messy string of html so it will parse Edit #2: I should also point out that the control character I'm using is a special unicode character - it's not something that would ever be used in a proper tag under any normal circumstances Suppose I have a string of html that contains a bunch of control characters and I want to remove the control characters from inside tags only, leaving the characters outside the tags alone. For example Here the control character is the numeral "1". Input The quick 1<strong>orange</strong> lemming <sp11a1n 1class1='jumpe111r'11>jumps over</span> 1the idle 1frog Desired Output The quick 1<strong>orange</strong> lemming <span class='jumper'>jumps over</span> 1the idle 1frog So far I can match tags which contain the control character but I can't remove them in one regex. I guess I could perform another regex on my matches, but I'd really like to know if there's a better way. I'm getting a scroll bar due to the element on the right, but not the element on the left (IE6/7/8, Chrome, Firefox).     Hi all! I am having difficulty figuring out how to implement grep into my CGI script. Basically I will receive a value of eg. 1500 from a HTML page. The CGI script then runs and compares 1500 to a text file. When it finds 1500 it prints the entire line and displays it on the webpage. I would like some tips and pointers on how to do this please.   • curl: downloading from dynamic url

    I'm trying to download an html file with curl in bash. Like this site: http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule/detselect.aspx?termsel=10S&subareasel=PHYSICS&idxcrs=0001B+++ When I download it manually, it works fine. However, when i try and run my script through crontab, the output html file is very small and just says "Object moved to here." with a broken link. Does this have something to do with the sparse environment the crontab commands run it? I found this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1279340/php-ssl-curl-object-moved-error but i'm using bash, not php. What are the equivalent command line options or variables to set to fix this problem in bash? (I want to do this with curl, not wget) Edit: well, sometimes downloading the file manually (via interactive shell) works, but sometimes it doesn't (I still get the "Object moved here" message).   • Remove "Flash" between pages while using Internet Explorer modal boxes

    I have an internal web application, that is IE specific, and uses a lot of IE specific modal boxes: (window.showModalDialog). I recently received a request to remove the "flash" when navigating between pages of the site. To accomplish this, I just added a meta transition tag to my master page: <meta http-equiv="Page-Enter" content="blendTrans(duration=0.0)" /> This works perfectly except for the modal boxes. When you launch a modal box, and then move it around, the web page behind it keeps a trail of the modal box instead of re-drawing the web page content. This prevents the user from moving the modal box to read anything that was behind it. Is there a way to prevent the "flash" between pages in an IE specific site and have the site still work with modal boxes? Please note, this is a large and complex site, so re-architecting it to not use modal boxes isn't an option.   • scrolling and css align with "right: 0px"

    Hello, In an HTML page, if I align some <div>s with "right: 0px", they all look very nice, as I expect. However, if I make the browser window smaller and the horizontal scroll bar appears, when I scroll the page to the right, I see an unexpected white space (instead of the background colors of my <div>s). It seems that my <div>s are aligned relative to the visible area of the page.
