• Wanted a tool for decompiling obfuscated .NET code

  Hello. I need a tool to decompile obfuscated .NET code. Yes, I know about Reflector and its plugins (FileDisassemble, FileGenerator). But they create VS project which won't compile. For an example the decompiled code contains: private sealed class d__0 : IEnumerator, IEnumerator, IDisposable { private int <1__state; private int <2__current; I need a tool which could rename automatically such name into readable (read "compilable") form.   Is there a way getting all countries, states,cities zipcodes/ in one single database. I have been looking all over. I discovered geonames.org, which has I guess all of the content. But there is no way to fetch that data directly. I am using rails. If there any helpers or Plugins, it'd be great. It would be awesome if there is a complete resource in any parsable format which I can use to get this database in place. Please recommend if you any thanks I do have the iso country code list but no States for some countries. Thanks in advance

• Maven jaxb2:xjc/jaxws:wsimport to be added in eclipse?

  I have a library I am creating based on some WSDL/XSD definitions. I am having a problem having the compiled classes added in the eclipse project. I can see that with a 'mvn compile' that the .class files are generated, as well as the .java files. The problem is that even though the .class files are generated, eclipse is still showing an error on the import statement "import com.whatever.SomeService_Service" that was generated by one of the plugins. I tried forcing the source to go into the project/src/main/java directory, but when the project is cleaned, it deletes files that I have created. Has anyone run into this before/found a way to get it to recognize that the class files are there? Thanks.

I've got an array of the Users I want to plot: @users = User.all( :conditions = {:created_at = 7.days.ago..Time.zone.now}) Can't see the right way to implement the :data_method to roll them up by created_at date. Anyone done this or similar with Seer? Anyone smarter than me able to explain this after looking at the Seer sample page (linked above)?

  I have an application that my customers can write plugins (that have WPF UIs) for. Now I would like to expose a set of styles as a library that they can use and that will help them with the development of the UIs sO they don't have to reivent the weel. How would I idealy expose those styles without actually having to deploy a lot of xaml files? How is something like this usually done in WPF so it does not break tooling support (blend, vs). How do I expose it and how does the cusomer reference those styles?

  Hi, I am writing my first wxWidgets application which aims to be cross-platform. The program uses dll file for plugins and in Windows, reads dll resource part for information regarding plugin name, author name etc. I have never used Unix or MacOS (little Linux though) and am wondering whether compiling binary for these other OSes will require changes to the code written for Windows. For instance, is there a DLL equivalent in Unix and MacOS? Are there any provisions of compiling resource strings and files into a such files? Thanks, Sanjeev

• Remote C++ Development using SSH only inside Eclipse Environment

  How do you integrate Remote Systems Explorer and CDT plugin inside eclipse ? What I mean is that you can use Remote Systems Explorer (RSE) plugin to work on C++ code on a remote linux box inside Eclipse but when you try to compile, you basically run a shell command through SSH. The CDT plugin is unable to locate the remote system and off course the remote compiler. Is there a way to integrate both the plugins so that we can use the parsing / suggestion features of CDT for the remote system as well; and also features like remote compilation, remote debugging using SSH only. If this is not possible, then what is the closest open source alternative to the above problem.

• Multiple file types in vim

  When I am working on a PHP file for example the default filetype is php. This makes sense, however when that PHP file has HTML as well the filetype is still only php. For some plugins that means that I get the PHP functionality for that plugin, but miss out on the HTML functionality. A more specific situation where this happens is with my snippet plugin. I get php snippets and not html snippets when I am editing a php file. Possible solutions to this (which I obviously don't like, hence my posting this question) are: add a map to toggle between different filetypes when I am editing different sections of the file. update my php snippets file to include the html snippets as well (while this would work for the example above, it doesn't solve the fundamental problem). So, Is there a way to edit a file using multiple filetypes at the same time in vim?

The $.Widget.prototype.destroy.apply(this, arguments); is at the end of the function. The way the current widgets are written, or by the explanation in the code comment in the Developer_Guide?

• Hadoop or Hadoop Streaming for MapReduce on AWS

  I'm about to start a mapreduce project which will run on AWS and I am presented with a choice, to either use Java or C++. I understand that writing the project in Java would make more functionality available to me, however C++ could pull it off too, through Hadoop Streaming. Mind you, I have little background in either language. A similar project has been done in C++ and the code is available to me. So my question: is this extra functionality available through AWS or is it only relevant if you have more control over the cloud? Is there anything else I should bear in mind in order to make a decision, like availability of plugins for hadoop that work better with one language or the other? Thanks in advance

• Can I use XText for a DSL involving an XML file type?

  I have defined a small DSL that is mostly written in the form of different types of XML files in conjuction with some property files. This works very well but I wish to create an Eclipse Editor to make editing these files easier for beginners (I already have a working parser). The main XML file can reference some items from the .properties files and vice-versa. THe main xml file can also reference other XML files. Certain options should only be available in the main xml file based on the contents of the .properties files and based on some osgi plugins that can be added to the DSL project (the syntax is dynamic depending on context). The structure of the language is fixed but the options available in each attribute or the choice of attributes themselves changes depending on metadata contained in plugin .jar files. Questions: Does XText support dynamic syntax (validation changes depending on external factors)? Does XText support XML files / .properties files? Thank you very much for your help in advance.

  Basically a client has asked for his WordPress website to be turned into a mobile website as well. I have never attempted this and know nothing about SEO. However the issue has arisen that this may cause duplicate content issues with Google, and therefore both sites may be dropped in the rankings. I was looking at turning the website into a mobile site via one of the available WordPress mobile website plugins. My question is if duplicate content will be an issue? Has anyone ever tried this? After doing some reading I kind of think it may be possible to tell Google not to index the mobile website, although as I understand it It would be the same set of files. So I am unsure that if I tell it not to index one of them, that it will drop the other one as well. Can anyone with WordPress and SEO knowledge clear this up for me?

• how to link with static mySQL C library with Visual Studio 2008?

  Hi, My project is running fine, but its requirement for some DLLs means it cannot be simply dragged and dropped by the end user. The DLLs are not loaded when put side by side with my executable, because my executable is not an application, and its location is not in the few locations where Windows looks for DLL. I already asked a question about how to make their loading happen. None of the suggestions worked (see the question at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2637499/how-can-a-win32-app-plugin-load-its-dll-in-its-own-directory) So I am now exploring another way: get rid of the DLLs altogether, and link with static versions of them. This is failing for the last of those DLLs. So I am at this point where all but one of the libraries are statically linked, and everything is fine. The last library is the standard C library for mySQL, aka Connector/C. The problem I have may or may not be related with that origin. Whenever I switched to the static library in the linker additional dependency, I get the following errors (log at the end): 1- about 40 duplicate symbols (e.g. _toupper) mutually between LIBCMT.lib and MSVCRT.lib. Interestingly, I can't control the inclusion of these two libraries: they are from Visual Studio and automatically included. So why are these symbol duplicate when I include mySQL's static lib, but not its DLL? • WebKit and npapi and mingw-w64

  Hi, The problem is the following: On Windows x64, pointers are 64-bit, but type long is 32-bit. MSVC doesn't seem to care, and even omits warnings about pointer truncation on the default warning level. Since recently, there is a GCC that target x86_64-w64-mingw32, or better Windows x64 native. GCC produces errors when pointers are truncated (which is the logical thing to do...), and this is causing trouble in WebKit and more specifically, the Netscape Plugin API: First, there's the files (I can only post one hyperlink...): http://trac.webkit.org/browser/trunk/WebCore/ bridge/npapi.h -- defines uint32 as 32-bit int type (~line 145) plugins/win/PluginViewWin.cpp -- casts Windows window handles to 32-bit int, truncating them (~line 450) My proposed fix was to change the uint32 casts to uintptr_t, which makes GCC happy, but still puts a 64-bit value in a uint32 (=unsigned long). I have no clue how to solve this, because clearly WebKit is happy truncating pointers on Win64... How can I solve this the right way? Thanks!

• Smarty debug mode not displaying included templates.

  On www.euroworker.no/order I have set Smarty's debug mode on with {debug output=html} in the header, so it will debug every page. But it says: Smarty Debug Console included templates & config files (load time in seconds): no templates included And after a list of template variables, {$cart} Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 561962 bytes) in /home/euroworkerno/www/library/smarty/libs/plugins/modifier.debug_print_var.php on line 30 It also doesn't display a list of templates for any url.. This is strange, can anyone point me to why it won't display the lit of .tpls? I need to find some HTML comments that someone has left in to rid IE of a display bug. Thanks.

  I'm looking to implement a state machine to manage a user moving through a series of steps over an extended period of time (weeks) with emails and then they interact with the app. I've looked at a couple of AASM plugins and forks (it seems like this plugin space has become a bit chaotic) and am curious what people would recommend. I saw the automatic AASM by hashrocket, that transitions states using cron, and from the title it looks like it might fit the bill but there doesn't appear to be any documentation anywhere and it looks more like a skeleton app than a plugin.

• z-index has no effect in IE7 with Google Map and Navigation Sub-Menus

  I feel like the problem is extremely apparent. I'm working on an issue with a client's site, which actually happens on several of my clients' sites but this one is the most apparent. IE7 Is refusing to obey z-index rules. I've played around with differing values, particularly on the divs #mapWrapper and #map.   How can I get an MP3 audio file to play in iPhone Safari (OS 3.1)? Currently, I am generating HTML e.g. <a href="file.mp3"><img src="sound.png" alt="Play audio"/></a> to play the file on clicking on the nested image. This works on Safari on OSX, but not on the iPhone. There, the content of the file is shown as text, but it does not appear to be a mime-type problem when checked with Live HTTP Headers from Firefox. I have found approaches referenced here. These require the Safari Plugins setting to be on in the preferences, which is why it did not previously work for me.

• How can I create an HTML text field that has scrolling background images before it is clicked?

  I'm looking to add a textbox on my website that captures a single email address. Behind it, I would like a scrolling (or sliding) images to be a "hint" for what the field should be. Example: http://steamboat.com/ - the "Newsletter sign up" toward the top of the page. I can find plenty of jQuery plugins that provide a plain text "hint". Where should I start looking to add this additional affect. Note: I do not want to add any flash elements on the page.

• Rails: ValidationReflection and Formtastic not working together

  I installed validation_reflection as a gem and out of the box it picked up on my validates_presence_of validations. But it is not picking up on any of the other default rails validations such as validates_format_of. I know from the documentation that i am supposed to add something like: config.reflected_validations << :validates_format_of to my config/plugins/validation_reflection.rb file (which didn't exist initially). I did this but nothing changed (i restarted the web server in between). I am not sure if it just isn't picking up on my file and loading validation_reflection.rb or if i have done something wrong. Anyone have any insights?
