    I am learning the ASP.net membership feature. I am wondering how I can implement so that later login session logout former login session to avoid concurrent login. I know how to check whether the user is online (by Membership.IsOnline()) and logout the current user (by FormsAuthentication.SignOut()). But I don't know how to logout the previous login session. Any code or reference that I can read?

    I've seen many tutorials online that says you need to check $_SERVER['HTTPS'] if the server is connection is secured with HTTPS. My problem is that on some of the servers I use, $_SERVER['HTTPS'] is an undefined variable that results in an error. Is there another variable I can check that should always be defined? Just to be clear, I am currently using this code to resolve if it is an HTTPS connection: if(isset($_SERVER['HTTPS'])) { if ($_SERVER["HTTPS"] == "on") { $secure_connection = true; } }

  • Using Shapefile data to determine neighborhood for a longitude/latitude

    I'm trying to determine the neighborhood for a location, based on Zillow's freely published Shapefile data. I don't really know anything about the Shapefile format, and am having some trouble finding tutorials online -- but I basically want to take latitude/longitude pairs, and run it against the Shapefile data to determine the corresponding neighborhood(s).     Gday All, I am developing a site that uses PayPal to take online payments. I need to be able to send my client an email with the link to PayPal in order to pay. In this link I need a way to set a unique value (for example bookingId) that I can use to add the receipt number to the correct booking via PayPal's payment notification feature.   • Cache the result of a MySQLdb database query in memory

    Our application fetches the correct database server from a pool of database servers. So each query is really 2 queries, and they look like this: Fetch the correct DB server Execute the query We do this so we can take DB servers online and offline as necessary, as well as for load-balancing. But the first query seems like it could be cached to memory, so it only actually queries the database every 5 or 10 minutes or so. What's the best way to do this? Thanks.

    This is a rather tricky question as I have found no information online. Basically, I wish to know how to check if a computer is idle in Java. I wish a program to only work if the computer is in active use but if it is idle then to not. The only way i can think of doing this is hooking into the mouse/keyboard and having a timer. MSN Messenger has that "away" feature, I wish for something similar to this.

    I need to generate thumbnail and medium sized images from large photos. These smaller photos are for display in an online gallery. Many of the photographers are submitting JPEG images using Adobe RGB. I would like to use sRGB for all thumbnails and medium size images I am using dotnet (asp.net) and need a way to convert from Adobe RGB to sRGB without losing any quality. Thanks in advance.

  • Given year, month and day, all in int, how would I generate an NSDate

    I think the solution is really simple, I just haven't come across it online. Suppose I am given int year, int month, int day, int hour, int min, int sec.. how do I generate NSDate out of it? I know we can use [NSDate initWithString:] but I think it gets complicated if month/day/hour/min/sec are one digit numbers. Thanks in advance for your help.
