• Security Token/Cross Domain Cookie in Classic ASP?

  I have an interesting conundrum. We have a site that is a completely separate domain, we'll say http://www.x.com and our own site that is http://www.y.com. The y.com site is actually a classic ASP site, and we aren't converting it to .NET at this time. The problem is that there is a link on x.com that redirects to y.com from a members area. We want to "authenticate" the user to make sure they are a member from the other site. If they are, they are directed to a members area on y.com. If not, they have to provide login information on y.com. Cookies obviously don't work due to the cross domain security, but is there a way around this? I've also looked at a service for tokens, but I'm not sure exactly how that works in Classic ASP. Any ideas or suggestions?

• Point subdirectory to another domain is IIS 6

  Is it possible to rewrite somehow www.mysite.com/Pictures to point to test.mysite.com/Pictures or even more broadly www.someothersite.com/Pictures ? Note: www.mysite.com and test.mysite.com are on separate machines and built with different technologies (one is ASP.NET and the other is PHP) but I have access to both of them. I want that when I reference a picture like www.mysite.com/Pictures/pic12345.png the picture to display correctly, even though there is not /Pictures folder on that server and the pictures has to be retrieved by going to test.mysite.com/Picture/pic12345.png Ideally I want to do this in IIS6 to test it. However I am interested if it possible to do in any webserver (Apache, IIS7)

  I've used the following code to map https://live.example.com on to http://example.com/api Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} =on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^live\.example\.com [NC] RewriteRule (.+)$ "http://example.com/api/$1" [L,P] The following url: https://live.example.com/userlinks/xml/John%20James/MvPjeUTo15/ Is suppose to map onto: http://example.com/api/userlinks/xml/John%20James/MvPjeUTo15/ Instead it maps it to: http://example.com/api/userlinks/xml/John So it seems to cut it at the space. I am using the Codeigniter framework but I am not sure if the problem lies there. Also using %20 or just a space in the url bar produces no different results. If your are interested, here is the context: I'm working on outlook 2003 VSTO addin.The installer for this addin creates few registry entries either in HKCU or HKLM depending on "Single User" Or "All User" installation. We are planning not to use "All User" installation since the addins installed for all users does not show up in COM AddIns list in outlook.The alternate approach is to use active set to install for single user.

  Say I have a subdomain xxx.yyy.com running Apache. The files are stored in /home/someone/public_html/xxx. What I want to do is redirect all requests to a domain name zzz.com which is using the same location for its files. (In other words, xxx.yyy.com and zzz.com are aliases for each other) I just want people accessing zzz.com, so if someone goes to xxx.yyy.com they should be redirected to zzz.com. Can this easily be done with a rewrite rule in an .htaccess file?

  to simplify, I got a database of registered users, I want to count how many emails there are for each email domain name (note I do not know all domain names) for example, Users table- id | email ------------------ 1 | test@hotmail.com 2 | [email protected]<--unknown to me 3 | [email protected]<--unknown to me 4 | test@hotmail.com 5 | [email protected]<--unknown to me 6 | test@yahoo.com 7 | test@yahoo.com 8 | test@hotmail.com ( note: I want to count each email without specifying which email exactly ) so the result I want is suffix | count hotmail.com | 3 somesite.aaa | 2 unknownsite.aaa| 1 yahoo.com | 2 again, I stress this, I do not know unknownsite.aaa nor can i mention it in a statement because it is unknown to me, i hope I am clear. So essentially I want to make a statistic of what my website users use as an email host website. but like I said and I will repeat the third time, I do not know every mailhost that exists. I am going to investigate this more, I have a feeling this is something mysql cannot handle.

• TypeError: Error #1009 Actionscript 3 help.

  I am extremely frustrated. I'm following a tutorial and mimicing it on my own. I've been able to sort out most of the errors so far but this one has me stumped. I have tried replacing all of the class files with the tutorial specimen ones but i still get the error. TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at com.senocular.utils::KeyObject/construct() at com.senocular.utils::KeyObject() at com.asgamer.basics1::Ship() at com.asgamer.basics1::Engine() Now, not really understanding the error properly I paste dumped the files online for you to look at. Ship class: textbin.com/78z35 Engine class: textbin.com/32b24 KeyObject class: textbin.com/p2725 As the error still occured when using the specimen class files I really have no idea where to begin. I will gladly try out any suggestions (although later on, i'm tired now ;). Thanks very much.

  I am trying to match the sub domain of an url using http://([a-z0-9]*.)?example.com/.* which works perfectly for these cases. http://example.com/index.html http://test.example.com/index.html http://test1.example.com/index.html http://www.example.com/122/index.html But the problem is it matches for this URL too. http://www.test.com/?q=http://example.com/index.html if an URL with another domain has the URL in path it matches.Can any one tell me how to match for current domain only. getting the host will work but i need to match full URL.

I've tried removing the +followSymlinks line, even the rewrite engine line. I haven't tried removing the conditions cause I don't think I should have to, I'm probably wrong.

  Ok, I understand the Title didn't make any sense so here I've tried to explain it in detail. I'm using a hosting that gives me space for my domain and lets me "add on" other domains on it. So lets say I have a domain A, and I add on a domain B. Basically my hosting gives me a public_html where I can put stuff that shows when someone visits website A. But, when I add the domain B, it lets me put the content of B, INSIDE of that public_html so that website B.com can also be visited by going to A.com/siteB... Thats all good, except that Google has started indexing B.com as well as A.com/siteB, I'm ok with it indexing B.com, but I somehow want to prevent it from indexing A.com/siteB so that when people search for B, it doesn't end up showing A.com/siteB. Any ideas? Let me know if the question is still unclear.

  I know how to update my own programs, and I know how to open programs using the a predefined Uri (for sms or email for example) I need to know how I can create an Intent to open MyTracks or any other application that I don't know what intents they listen to. I got this info from DDMS, but I havn't been succesful in turning this to an Intent I can use. This is taken from when opening MyTracks manually.   I'm having trouble with redirecting urls using the .htaccess file. For some reason it adds "?file_name=example-001.php" to the url. Anyone know's why this is happening and how to fix this?

• Need new method for linking to native mapping from mobile web app

  My mobile web apps use a map button which automatically starts the mapping features of Android and iPhone by simply linking to http://maps.google.com/maps?q=New+York. iOs 6 comes out, the links stop working, because Apple wants us to use "maps.APPLE.com". Turns out ANYTHING you send to "maps.apple.com" gets forwarded to "maps.google.com". So now I have to specially detect iOs 6 and swap out links just so Apple can forward everything back to Google anyway. Is there a clean way to open the device/native mapping app from a mobile web app that works on Android, iOs 6, and iOs pre-6, since iOs 6 nerfed it? Check to see if its domain1 or domain2 and the value that follows "variable-" So it should create a multi-dimensional array, which would have 2 items: domain + value. How do I set up a rewrite rule to do this? • Domain Redirection While Maintaining Original URL

  I have two domains ("this_site.com" and "that_site.com") that I want to point to the same place (same set of files). BUT What I really want to do is maintain the original URL in the address bar while the visitor accesses the different pages. Example: The primary domain holding the web files is "this_site.com". If I type in "that_site.com" in the address bar, I want the address bar to keep displaying "that_site.com" no matter where they go on the web site. Normal domain redirection causes the URL displayed in the address bar to change to the 'master' domain (i.e. the visitor that typed in "that_site.com" will see the address bar's URL change to "this_site.com"). Is there some sort of .htaccess trick that I can employ to do this? What I'm trying to do is NOT confuse visitors who visit one URL and find themselves on a different URL as well as avoid the additional expense and trouble of having to maintain two separate hosting accounts.
